Not at the moment. But I'll add that to the request list.

Downloading, testing with Blackrose and original partition
update: just realized that I don't know whether barcode scanner works or not? Need this as all my Gmail accounts has 2-step authentication on

Do we need to flash this: hboot_220-16-200.nb0 ? As in that partition sizes?

Sorry, my bad. I for some reason skipped reading the word "not" in the OP lol. I will try this ROM out now and give a full review in just a bit.
EDIT: Seem to have problems. Zip is not signed correctly and after I install I just get to the MIUI boot logo and it gets stuck there. I tried to download it again / wipe / reflash and still no luck... Will continue trying. Anyone get this to work yet?

It could be Blackrose, get stock hboot and give it another shot? I haven't started trying this yet, since I need to use my phone to be stable these days, I flashed it back to GB.

Just a heads up, this has been my daily runner for 4 days now. Well MIUI ICS that is. I started working on this when 2.1.20 was available for the Nexus S and 2.2.3 seems to be the most stable yet.
I have no problem using this on a day to day basis.

It sure is. I have a Nexus One with a non-functioning power buttons so this was a must for me to begin with.

I completely uninstalled Blackrose and was on stock bootloader. The install was fine, It just kept freezing on the MIUI boot logo. Did you all get a sig verification error when trying to install? I had to toggle the verification process on AmonRA.

Got the verification error in clockwork too, disabled, flashed. Got stuck on the boot logo. Flashed 2.2.3 again and everything was messed up badly, apps force closing all over the place and what not. Going to try with a stock hboot later since my phone is messed up anyway. And yeah, I'm the kind of guy who prefers to setup everything from scratch once or twice a year when stuff breaks instead of wasting time with backups every couple of days when I flash something different

That's good to know
However after using the other two ICS builds (Texas and MeDroid), I realized that without that single barcode scanner functionality I can't even do my daily work (and really don't want to just turn off 2-step verification of all Google product for that)
Yet multi-account chat on Google Talks really tastes good! Interested to see if someone has ported the ICS version to GB yet.

I installed it for a brief moment and everything was natural - so yes, I think I did not notice the oddness of not using the trackball to wake the phone.

Hi,
I may be wrong here,,, but when you say STOCK BOOTLOADER, have you also
put back the STOCK PARTITION,,, as per me it is just not enough to remove Blacrose.... In the Blackrose thread you will find the partition sizes for different roms,,, for MIUI its different... i dont have it offhand,, but you can do a search and find it as it is in one of the posts... so IF THIS IS TRUE,, then MIUI will always get stuck at the X or MIUI boot logo. So you need to flash the partition with appropriate size for MIUI.
Maybe i am wrong, but there is no harm in trying....

greg

Asking because since atis112 has stopped work on cm9 and it might be a while till hell-lock will release so the bugs might never get fixed.

good job man glad to see paranoid andriod working on our desire Xs will be flashing it to my phone as soon as I see wifi and bluetooth working, currently trying to get HTC to allow us to turn s-on to s-off since they let us unlock the bootloader why not s-off aswell

because its unsafe and completely unessary for the device to be s-off.
according to HTC the bootloader unlock is enough to flash custom roms, kernels and recoveries and really what else do you want.
s-off the only advantages i see is Super-cid which allows for a sort of universal stock rom updating. And cyanogenmod official support.
PS i really want is for a dev to check the recovery methods on why we cannot flash via zips modified kernels that are compiled using AOSP toolchain.(asked htc said it should be possible along with flashing recoveries via zip).
personally never tried to flash a kernel...so.

actually I wanted to know why someone like @neXus PRIME or @atis112 or you can check whats stopping recovery flashes.
because according to htc the boot and recovery partition are no longer write protected once unlocked...so the recoveries should work.
PS the reason I'm asking is because this would eliminate the need of s-off(atleast for me).And allow for official cm support.
EDIT okay seems I was mistaken official cm support is valid if bootloader is unlocked.S-Off is not required....So what are we waiting for...oh ya the official kernel sources

1. Auto Rotate inst working on initial boot up, reboot fixes that
2. the audio is low, much lower than stock for the external speakers, this has been an issue on all 3 roms so far
This rom does see my SD Card unlike the others and i also have no issue with 5gnz wifi like i did with the other, only thing so far that needs a teak is speaker volume, otherwise its all good thanks

nycjbr was able to fix the auto-rotate on first boot issue (and other rotation issues) by switching out the sensors.msm8960.so file, might help here? I've no idea what might be different between the file he posted and the one you include.

Yeah and custom recovery, rooting is super simple, twrp is some and commands, nothing daunting, as for warranty... most companies frown upon modifying your device, if you had a warranty issue there is a good guide on here how.to get back to stock that's quite simple

Nice work man! Keep it up
I suppose that this ROM doesn't change anything about the awful sound of the tab. It's purely hardware I guess..
I tried flashing this file in TWRP and it failed. It just went to a screen with a picture of a dead android.
I'm assuming that the install crapped out because I don't have the latest version of TWRP? If this is the case, is there a flashable zip of it somewhere?
Thanks.

Ahhhhh! I managed to flash the rom and now i'm stuck in a bootloop! Help!
You didn't factory reset before flashing, I know this as I did it 1st time, you need to go look in the twrp thread and do the button combo to bring up the reset screen, at that point you can adb reboot recovery, wipe (factory restore) then flash the rom, then flash the gapps
This is the post, download mode is what you need to get into
Drgravy said:
it will work!
you need to put your tablet in download mode first
(this can be a lil tricky)
with your usb unplugged power down your tab hold the power button in till it shuts off
then release it the quickly push both volume up and down then quickly plug in your usb cable
that will put it into download mode
and just follow the instructions in that thread

Thanks. Now to find me 2 new ROMs.
possibly silly question, but do you know if this kernel/recovery will work on the i605 [Verizon US LTE Note II]?
I'm really tempted to try it out to test to see if it will work, so I might go ahead and do that instead and report back, lol.
Thanks for this awesome contribution!

also, quick question, did you find a way to build your recovery without downloading the whole CM source or did you end up downloading all of CM source and then build it that way?

gotcha, and yeah, I'll definitely test it out.
and I was hoping I didn't have to get the source, but figured I had too, lol.
definitely didn't want to though.

thank you sir, I'll test it out now and report back
edit: tried it again and still bootloop and multiple FCs. I pulled the last_kmsg and a logcat and I've uploaded both to this post.
I'm also trying clearing dalvik & cache and rebooting into system to see if that possible fixes it. << no go.
edit2: you'll have to unzip the logcat.txt, xda forums wouldn't let me upload it because it wasn't under the size that they wanted it.
for backup or restore TW ROM there's no preload option
in this [DUAL BOOT] [PhilZ Touch Advanced
preload option only shows N/A

Well preload "should" get backed up with system I believe. Preload is used for dual boot. If it wasn't there, Sammy would throw a fit and probably not work

Wow I need to learn more of this one. Thanks for posting your work.
Boots up perfectly fine in Multi-boot. Looks great and is pretty smooth.
Wi-Fi works but no cell, data or LTE available. Says unknown SIM state. I'm sure those are known but just giving my experience.
Thank you. I look forward to seeing where this goes.

Well, that sounds perfect, just having wifi as that's all my Nexus 5 has due to me being on LG G3, so, I will definitely be checking into this. Thank you.

From my understanding Abtekk and I are using the same original source however I will be posting updates daily and I am not changing the source, just building it, I believe that Abtekk has done some amount of development to improve his builds functionality beyond the original source tree. Also my Builds are flashable Zip's which work with recoveries like TWRP and CWM as well as MultiRom and effort Abtekk has not taken.
--correction Abtekk has noted that he was just building the source, again the difference is the consistency of nightly builds and the delivery format (ie.. flashable Zip)
wifi and cell work good, but camera not work

Whatever it may be. We are happy someone took the initiative. There are no rules against multiple threads for same OS development.
@abtekk did not really release nightlies even after naming his thread that way. Last build was in June. I hope @aaron.thomas.webster, you will. Thanks for your work.

I've got a couple of questions for you... hopefully we will be able to get it running for you.
First which version have you downloaded and have you verified the MD5 hash?
Second What method did you use to install the ROM, I assume a custom recovery and not MultiRom since it wiped your phone?
Third and this one is not for faultytowersdude but for everyone else, has anyone else had trouble installing, I have only tested it on MultiRom since I like my other Rom and don't fill like going through the backup/restore process.

I have changed my first Post to corespond with this error while I look for a solution, sorry I had only tried it under Multirom as a secondary ROM.... you could call me a noob... anyways I will try to get a working ROM over the next week or so... in the mean time I will continue to post nightlies that work on MultiRom. any direction or assistance would be gratefully received.

Sorry for the troubles... I had only tested my build as a secondary ROM in MultiRom... There was a glitch in the install script that wiped your internal SD card...
I have fixed the Glitch and all future builds will be tested both as a stand alone Rom and in MultiRom before upload.
Can I install apks on Firefox os I had problems sideloading I know I need to enable unknown sources but have no idea where that setting is
This is a solid rom. Thank you for the great experience. Once the camera bug is fixed its pretty much good for daily use.:victory:

Firefox os will not support apks.... it is a web OS (sort of.... its apps are built on web standards such as html and javascript) most of the apps running on it are written in html5 ... for more information on installing apps see Mozilla's FAQ's on Downloading and Installing Apps

Working fine here. Were you on Oreo before flashing?
Como se instala la ROM ?
Thanks for the ROM, Flashing Now....
My Review
ROM is very smooth like stock. Some questions -
How to disable battery light ?
How to enable double tap to wake?
And one request -
Please add pixel navigation bar home button animation.
That's all. And once again, Thanks for the ROM

i got it to work after flashing stock img from google and then re-upgrading vendor, bl and radio. Thanks for the good work!
Running this ROM since last night with FrancoKernel. Seems good, I'm a fan of stock and Pixel features so I really like it so far. Good work, and thanks! ?

Thanks! I'll add a variant without battery light on the next update. You can install a custom kernel (such as EX or franco) and enable it. Keep in mind that if you flash a custom kernel you'll have to reinstall magisk. As for the pixel animated navbar, I don't think it's possible on oreo.

Install the latest bootloader (optional), vendor & radio images from Google. Reboot to twrp, wipe system, data & cache and then flash the rom.

Thanks for the Reply. Do you know @cile381. He made Super Xe ROM, and in the custom built of that ROM, There is pixel animated nav bar. Can we take help from that...
And Thanks again, for such a beautiful ROM.
Can't get substratum to work tried different versions of the app. I know in the past pixel features can break subs so maybe its a trade off. I'll try to get a logcat later.

Use an older gapps problem solved. It's a licensing issue with the plasy store. Use open gapps 06/26 works fine

Ouch you can always try downloading stock open gapps. Haven't tried it on a stock rom before but that's my best solution i can think of.

I'm pretty sure you're correct, not exactly sure if there are specifics system app wise you can remove to get it to work or not.
Would be nice if there was, or the pixel mods were something that could be incorporated as an aroma or flashable after.
The white kills my eyes.
The smooth and simple and most like stock rom with nice and simple mode .tnx my dear

I almost tested this out earlier today. Had to reflash after restoring a corrupted backup and ended up flash gapps too by mistake. Too bad I didn't try to boot the phone to see if it would work lol.

I'll make an aroma installer this month
I'm not on playstore version 10.7 so definitely issue with the build. Maybe the modified android framework Cile would know if you have time thanks. ?
Edit: I stand corrected someone update playstore from apkmirror and got subs working.

I mean if you're willing to go through it, then that would be great, I was more or less just spitballing.
As I get older, I'm falling farther away from the custom side of android versus just accepting stock. Meaning I require less features etc to make me happy.
There is a severe lack of stock options for this device with minimal mods, or just debloating and optimizatations. Seems like more common place for people to expect 100+ feature offerings on XDA anymore.
