Can this model by unlocked for T-Mobile very easily like most Samsung Galaxy phones?

Probably, but it'd probably have crippled mobile data speeds since these two carriers use different frequencies for high speed data.

If its anything like the Skyrocket, which it is hardware wise then it could possibly have access to T-Mobile 3g with a modem flash. Let's hope so.

There's no guarantee... Have to look at the specs to find out bands on the phone.
EDIT: current specs that I found on gsmarena.com say that it DOESN'T get UMTS 1700mhz, which I believe is necessary for 3g/"4g" on T-mobile. So possible, yes, but with crippled data speeds.

lol, how do you think it gets LTE? 1700mhz. Like the Skyrocket, good try.
Like I said, we will have to wait and see if the s2 (t989) modem will work on it. Cross your fingers everyone.

Lol, then how does the Skyrocket get T-Mobile 3g? Haha, sorry man.
I'm not here to argue just saying that because the hardware is similar it could work. But again, there is no guarantee this trick will work with the At&t Note

Why not keep the international note? It'll have T-Mobile 3g, and will have much more dev support than the ATT version. Seems like a no-brainer to me seeing as you'll have one in your trades.

Right now the international one does not have 1700 for T-Mobile 3g. Also the international one will never have LTE.
And look at the AT&T S2 and skyrocket. They both have good dev support.

International does not get 3g on TMobile. There is a development bounty of $910 right now to try to get a dev to come with a work around. It shows 1700 but does not work.

That bounty will NEVER get paid. The 1700 is for GSM, which is for voice and data up to Edge. The phone doesn't have hardware to receive 1700 UMTS, which is needed for 3g/"4g" on T-mobile USA.

Um, what unbranded phone works with tmo-us 3g bands? You have to be able to receive the correct frequencies in order to get 3g, and tmo-us uses non-worldly 3g bands, unlike att.
So, while dumb, it's the reality of the situation.

Sarius 24,
Wanted to ask a few question on the Bell version. I have confirmed it will work on the ATT LTE and HSPA+ networks.
Can you toggle this model between LTE and HSPA+ (Not a big deal just wondering) Also does this have the S planner which is the calendar feature which you can use the s pen for? Finally can you delete the bloatware that comes on the phone without rooting?
Thanks,
Since I am buying off contract I just want to see all of my options before buying the LTE model

One more question regarding the Canadian models. I saw on the Bell website that it lists the RAM as 512 MB. And then of course other places copy and paste this info. Can someone who owns these models confirm 1 gig of RAM?
Also heard that NFC works on the Canadian models? Anyone try to install Google wallet to see if it works?
Thanks very much!

Samsung hasn't released update for international Note yet so lte will definitely take more longer.

I can see why people think international will be first, with the past of galaxy devices in general, but since the Canadian and US models have completely different internals, therefore this could very well be true and we could see ics a lot sooner than we expected here on xda.

Because it doesnt have the TMO radio band for TMO's HSPA+ (wait I forget this is the international section, are you talking about TMO US?) If It's TMO US that is why. the international doesnt have TMO's AWS band for their HSPA + so you will be stuck on 2G data speeds
Because the international S3 can only get 2g speeds on T-Mobile.
you can get hspa+ if you use it on at&t or if you are in one of the areas where T-Mobile has refarmed the 1900mhz frequency for 3g but I think I saw someone mention here yesterday that there are only 5 areas so far but they should be more widespread in the next few months.

No.
Its a hardware thing, not a software thing.
You have three choices, wait for 1900mhz to be refarmed to 3g in your area, change to at&t or put up with 2g speeds.
Simple as that really.

I can only imagine how you feel being stuck with that constantly, when I lose signal with my carrier (3 Ireland) it roams onto vodafone Ireland and I only get 2g speeds then, its unbearably slow.
When I was in America a few months back I got a tmo sim in new Orleans and had 3g speeds but when I went about 5 hours north I was roaming on at&t and they don't let you use data at all when roaming, a-holes!

That's not a bad trade value for a 4s. Assuming it's 16gb, you'd be lucky to get 300 for the 4s. The Verizon Note 2, even with a bad esn, is worth around 350 or so.

New personally though I would sell and get a tmo version because you're only going to get edge in a lot of places with the Verizon version. Also, tmo doesn't have a very good signal in a lot of buildings so wifi calling is a great feature to have
