I cracked the glass on my radar, but i already have the new part. I can't seem to find a disassembly guide anywhere to replace the glass. Can anybody help me out. Thanks

I have read a lot about this and I know it is hard but I have no choice... But what I havent found is a step by step guide in how to do this, so can someone help guide me?
I have two "lcd units" (digitizer, glass and lcd), one of them has a broken lcd and the other a broken digitizer... So I need to combine these to get one perfect one...
From what I hear I should remove the digitizer together with the glass, not just the digitizer? Or?

Hi. I have a problem with a minor crack on the front glass near the "go back" button. (I've marked it with red line on this picture: http://i51.tinypic.com/10rpybl.jpg )
So my question is what is the cheapest way to fix it? I have been thinking about SGP Glass but I don't like how it looks, however if there is no option to replace just a front glass, I will consider it.

on ebay you can find only glass, no connectors, that means it should be passable to separate them, does anyone tried to do so?

it is possible, i have the same problem...but ideally you should use a special tool to seperate the digitiser (the actual touchscreen bit) from the glass.
and you'll risk breaking your working touchscreen if it goes wrong..
if the screen functions and the crack isn't that big...and if you can't afford to go the whole way and replace the lot....i wouldn't bother (i'm not and i have a huge spider like crack all over my phone.)
I dont think so. Mostly the Touscreen is bound to the Display.

to answer all your questions YES its possible but in-order to do so you'll have install a copy of the original glass which comes in full meaning the other half the your phone
this has happened to me, my phone slipped from my hand and fall to the floor the glass was shattered so i went to my friend a mobile phone reaper man and got the glass changed only and its was not that bad although there was no samsung logo i chose to install a glass copy because the price of the original is almost half the price of a new I9100

That is exactly what I need to do.... Replace the glass only! I already have the glass but need to figure out how to replace it without damaging the digitizer.
Maybe your friend can help?

This could affect the touch sensitivity badly. If the repair is too pricy for you, use a screen protector so you won't get cuts and save money for repair.

A friend of mine has an ATT Titan (phone says PI39100) with a cracked front glass. I was looking to purchase a new front lens/digitizer for her phone and do the replacement. Most of what I find online are for the x310e.
Long question short: is the front lens for the x310e the same exact one as for the PI39100? or are the two not compatible?
Also, if someone can point to a DIY for doing this I'd appreciate it - otherwise, i'll take on it the same as the Galaxy Tab 10.1 I did earlier this week (using a hair dryer and an exacto knife) I would like to at least know the lens is the same so I can order soon.

The screens are the same. The only difference will be that the new screen will have the HTC-Brand name instead of AT&T. Is it just the glass cover that's broken or is the whole touch screen? You can either replace just the glass cover or the entire touch screen. At least that is what I understand because I've seen both parts offered separately.

Oh, and it's the glass cover that's broken, because she's still able to (and currently continues to) use the phone. On ebay, I've seen the glass and digitizer going for under $30 shipped, so I think it's reasonable enough.

Hello guys & gals,
So as you all may know how fragile this phone is & with the lack of a full surround case (and brains) the top of the phone is essentially asking to be smashed.
So it finally happened, as I was walking, the phone slipped out of my pocket & landed on the pavement, the top right hand portion of the glass is chipped & there's a very small hairline crack on the glass itself, the digitizer itself is fine, however the front glass absorbed the damage causing it to crack & chip, I was wondering if it's actually possible to just heat the front glass, remove it & stick on a new glass like the one available in the link: https://www.ebay.com/itm/Display-To...202764?hash=item3d793f64cc:g:B7oAAOSwhJFb5xgu
Or would I have to go out of my way to get an entire screen & tear down the phone to replace it, there aren't many videos on this phones repair, plus I can only seem to find the front glass. Any information & help will be appreciated.

Hey were you successful in replacing the glass? I see some on Amazon for $30. I'm in the same boat now. If i have to replace the whole display for several hundred dollars I'd rather just bin the phone and buy a different brand.
