Laza Zcell 1620mah HTC Rezound 2x Battery + Charger + Travel Case Combo? - HTC Rezound

So I've been poking around for stuff to by for my fabulous Rezound and of course looked in the battery isle of my local Amazon.com and came across this nifty combo.
{Oops, newbie can't post a link yet so just do a search on Amazon.com and you can see for yourself...it's easy, really... LOL}
12 reviews and 5 stars and only $19.99 + $4.65 shipping and I'm going to spring for it. Two batteries, a charger, AND a case? What a deal!
Will let the gang know my experience with this buy.
Regards,
Ken

Here is the link...

But I am highly skeptical. I think I would be worried about sticking these batteries in my phone... and in my pocket...

I'm gonna put 'em in my rig and see if I am as happy as the I others who have.
Won't say I haven't been fooled before...I did buy a 32gig SD card off ebay once...ouch. (I got my $ back.)

Umm, not to mention that all of the reviews are from this year within like a week period. Pretty sure all of those reviews are fake and from the seller. I wouldn't trust it at all.

I actually just purchased this as well. I'm hopeful for good results, but we'll see. And if it doesn't turn out good, then I'm only out $20. Will post back when I get them.
From the Rez Beast

Update.
Shipping was super fast, received it in two days. Everything is a pretty decent build quality, and the case is nice.
I've been getting a solid 8 hours of use the last couple of days. They take forever to charge, about 6-7 hours. But overall I'm satisfied. I'll be impressed if they perform this way more than a few months.
From the Rez Beast

only 8 hours? So 1/2 to 2/3 the oem battery?

Seriously? 8 hours is about the same I get with the oem. But I use it for that 8 hours straight. I only put my phone down for maybe 3-5 minutes at a time. I'll have to keep track of my screen on time, but I'd guess it's about 80-90% of the total uptime.
So maybe my perspective is a little skewed?
From the Rez Beast

If someone could spend the day with me to show me how and prove the 8 hours of constant use, ill pay them for their time. I just dont see how you guys are getting the battery life. Im on charger after 4 hours of moderate use every day. Im jealous.

I've read so many battery posts on this board and usage times vary so much that it's almost impossible to tell what should be expected. I think that from this post you can determine that these batteries do work (thanks OP for the update!) but your use time is still going to vary by as much as several hours. I could never get 8 hours of heavy use out of my battery as well but I believe the post that he's doing it. So many settings have an impact.
...Sent from my Tab

I've been using these things and they actually work great. For some reason the original battery only goes up to 83% even though its green n the charger and these babies go to 98%. The extended was getting too cumbersome for everyday use.

Well, the batteries arrived very quickly, packaging was quality and so far I have not noticed any difference between these and the stock battery that came with my Rezound.
I am very happy with this quality, low-cost purchase.

I've been using these batteries a little over a month. I'm pretty satisfied they still last about as long as the regular battery

1400mah battery?

Well I'm in the market for a new regular sized battery. Since the andida ones are gone now these seem to be the largest non extended batteries I could find. 2 1400mah batteries for 10 bucks. I know that the seidio is good but I'm cheap. I'm just wondering if anyone has tried this battery out?
I might just bite and if I do I'll give a quick review.
i just bought those a couple days ago arrived today they seem to be just like the original but idk i havent calibrated yet so ill see
How bout a link for those batteries, i'll try em out.
If its cheap...its fake. This is a fact amongst cellphone batteries.
I've purchased the Seidio one and it was great. I got a full days use
out of it even on my 10 hour shift at work on 3G all day.
Now if I started playing video games on it...then it would still of course
drain fairly quickly. But for average use its fantastic.
Well worth the $40.

Thanks.
I too am unsure about those. But will most likely get them when I get paid.....in a month.
But if you buy them, please do a review, with measurements of the battery also, as its not hard to put a sticker on a normal battery.
My preliminary non scientific tests seems to show that the new battery is a bit better and lasts a good 3-4 hours more than the stock after a full discharge and recharge. I can do a real test and measure the run time with playing a video on a loop or something.
I'm about to buy the exact same batteries only from Amazon.com, any feedback on whether they're any better than the stock battery and can actually hold a charge?

[Q] Evo 3d batteries

I see a bunch of batteries on ebay, are these legit? I read the battery is 1730 per HTC but yet on ebay ithey are listed as 1800 and even 1850.

I have no clue bro, I just take my charger to work and plug that **** in.
Im guessing its because none of us have gotten our hands on the phone yet. I can tell you that I bought some aftermarket batteries for my 4G and they sucked pretty good and didnt last long at all. I ended up just buying an extra oem battery to carry around with me.
Hard to say. I have like 4 of these type of batteries (Made in China) for my Evo 4G, and if these are anything like those, you can expect the same battery life as the OEM battery.
I'll probably pick up a couple.
i hope the battery lasts a little bit longer than the EVO... i dont know y they cant make the batteries last atleast 6 or 7 hours lol

I buy the after market batteries and charges for my current phones, honestly they work well for me, I like the small wall charger I bought better than any other charger I have seen. And yes after I get my 3d I will buy after marker chargers and batteries for it as well.

They do, mine last 26 in my evo. Its more about how efficently you use the energy.
Non OEM batteries are notorious for being over rated in mAh and usually are lower capacity then the OEM. Batteryboss.org

I just ordered a pair of them with a charger. I have a few of these China batteries that I keep as back-ups for my current Evo and they work great. I keep a fully charged one in my car, another in my desk at work and another one at home. I hardly ever use them, but they've been handy when I've needed them.

Seidio Case/Battery coming...
For my 4G, I have the 3500maH battery and the ultra rugged case from Seidio.
Here's the page for similar products for the 3D.. Hope they are available soon
My experience with their battery has not been disappointing at all. Not quite the 30 or so hours people boast about in the forums, but still at least double that of the OEM battery. I suspect that's because now that I have the big ol' battery, I am using the power hungry features of the phone more frequently than before.
The phone is a little thicker with the new battery door, but it actually feels better in my hands with that extra depth. Feels less likely to slip out and drop.
A significant caveat is the battery gauge. Unless you leave it on the charger for a couple hours after it shows 100%, it won't get to its full capacity. At least that's what seems to be happening with my phone.

I got 75-80 (don't remember exacts) on my extended battery from Sprint. That was being mildly conservative, using GPS and music while working out, a lot of texting, couple phone calls, some internet usage.... I was happy.
Just gotta see what the extended battery is going to look like for this beast. At least for the OG EVO it looked halfway decent because of its location and what not.
With the dual camera lenses it'll look a little weird in my opinion... And I like the slim/ naked look more so now than ever lol
I have three of the similar batteries and charger for my EVO 4G, just not extended. They have been a great value. Never plug in except to ADB. Never have to hover around a corded charging phone afraid to miss a call.
I ordered the similar for the EVO 3D. They haven't arrived yet, as well as the phone. Your post may be a little premature
Nothing really new to add, but I too use the cheap generic replacements in my Evo 4G. Last week, I got lucky on eBay and scored 3 Evo 3D batts plus a wall charger for $13.50 shipped. They probably won't be as good as the stock battery, but will be fine for me as I'm not a power user by any stretch. I routinely get 24 hours out of the stock battery, so even if they are only half as good, they will get me through the day with no problem.
Somebody linked these in IRC and thought I would share, thinking of getting these. http://cgi.ebay.com/3x-1800MAH-HIGH...ccessories&hash=item3cb94bf1db#ht_1744wt_1140
Yeah I have 3x batteries and the wall charger on the way since last week!
I'll let you know how it goes
Hmm...
I forgot about those.
I ordered 5 cases, screen protectors, and got them from china.
Inside were 2 batteries and an external charger.
They kind of got tossed somewhere....
1800mAh.
Popping one in now...

It's noticeably lighter than the oem, but the phone booted.... So... we'll see.
I don't really have enough use/drain time specs yet to tell you much, but I'll slap Juice plotter on the thing and see what happens...

1800mAh Battery for the HTC Rezound

After 2 days of use the stock Rezound battery can easily last me 10+ hours of use, so I've been on the lookout for a higher capacity battery that keeps the slim profile of the phone, as opposed to the larger 2750mAh external pack that adds a hump to the back.
Stumbled upon this today:
http://shop.htcpedia.com/htc-rezound-extra-capacity-battery-1800mah.html
An extra 180mAh puts it close to what the GNexus would ship with, and just might be enough of a boost for the light/moderate users. I'm just hoping that the rating is indeed 1800mAh and not one of those cheap knock-offs that can barely keep up with the stock 1620mAh.

Ive had my eye on that battery as well, wont be instock till next week though, since the thunderbolt battery fits in this phone I have been contemplating buying one of the slimmer extended batteries used for it and using it in the rezound, atleast they are already tried and tested so we know which ones are working as advertised.
you must be a minimal user to get the battery to last that long.
after doing some streaming(or downloading), watching some videos & browsing the web, the phone lasts about 2 - 3 hours w/ stock.
(yes i know about bump charging, calibrating, etc)
strange, the battery is no longer listed on the htcpedia rezound accessory page, but the link still works

If the 1800 is a good quality battery and can fit in the standard back plate I'm down to get it. get about 4.5 hours is display on time right now so I'm cool with that. But if it was 5 or more I'd be even more down lol.

2 to 3 hours?!? wtf? My battery lasted 26 hours on a full charge before it died! That was setting up the phone after a factory reset and then streaming high quality music over slacker at various times. I set the phone to airplane mode while I was sleeping.

I am wary about any off brand batteries that list only small gains like that. Seeing as how there is no HTC branding, I am betting this is an off brand.
Now for a link to a lengthy post, that I do not wish to retype, explaining why I think these batteries are a sham.

I have to think that legit companies like Seidio don't do this when they sell extended batteries.
Their 1750 for the Eris/Incredible (came with 1300mah) really did seem to add hours of life to the usability of the phones. I must assume that some companies rate things in terms of usability, and some do _not_
pko, i had that 1750, and it didn't do crap. the life of it lasted much less than HTC batteries did; seideio makes crap batteries that are a sham. many people did studies and found it was barely a 1400 mah battery. i bought the stock HTC 1500 mah battery fort he inc and it added more time than the 1750.

I had the same exact experience.
For those who fail to see increased usage time using non-oem batteries, could you mention also the brand of those batteries? I am in the market for a larger-capacity battery (only when they will come out in the near future, I hope). And based on the reviews on Amazon there are a couple of brands that seems to be receiving fairly consistent positive reviews.
I picked a pair of these up on ebay yesterday. Came with the charger (which is what I *really* want, as I already got a second stock battery on sale) and another power cord (which you can never have too many of).
I used similar OEM batteries in my Incredible, also 1800's which just barely fit inside the "default" back. I'll report back on my experience after I have them and run them for a few days. I did find that the ones in my Incredible ran pretty well.
I know everyone's pretty cautious about OEM stuff on ebay, but I only buy from USA sellers with near 100 ratings, and I have never been sorry. On the other hand, my Seidio extended battery pretty much burnt out about 9 months after I got it.

Beware the placebo effect. Also know that people have a tendency to try to justify their choices. Make a bad purchase and you find ways to turn it positive.
Those things can color reviews.

should come in today so i can see over the weekend if its any improbement.
EDIT: these register an error (the exclamation mark over the battery) and do not charge in the phone)
As much as I hated to do it, I found that simply disabling 4G extended my battery life a lot. I figure that 3G is fine for GPS or email, but if I want to download a file or something more intense, I can quickly enable 4G and then disable when I am done.
Not optimal, but it is free and most of the time basic tasks with low amounts of data being transferred don't really benefit from 4G, so why take the battery life hit if you don't have to?
When I want to stream a movie or something, or upload a large picture to FB, or maybe a video to YouTube, then I put 4G on and then it makes a big difference...

Is it worth getting the extended battery?

My Rezound will be here Wednesday.
I am wondering who bought the extended run battery and what kinda of improvement you saw.
When i got the extended battery for my dinc it made a large difference.
I dont know how much better the Rezound will do verses what the dinc did on battery life.
Wondering what to expect,
What are you guys getting for bat life,

I have the ext battery and never use it. I get about 15+ hours average with this battery. I would say get it if you will not be around a charger for over 10+ hours or if you will be doing heavy video watching and gaming. I use my phone fairly heavily and get plenty of life from the standard with the ROM and kernel I'm running. The longest I've seen from my battery now is around 23 hours. The shortest I've seen lately was about 10 hours.

I have the extended battery. I only pop it in when I am going to be solely on 4G for more than 8-10 hours. I keep it in my truck fully charged incase I need it. Other than that I get about 15-20+ hours on the stock battery with moderate usage. Last night I had been on battery for 14 1/2 hours and still had 67%. Of course, I was on WiFi the whole time as I never left my house.
I have the extended battery and love it...I get 24+ hours from a full charge, and I never have to worry about it running out. I frequently ran out of battery with the stock battery. I think it's worth the peace of mind and being able to work your phone if you need to without having to use measures such as turning off data or something life that. It's not even that big that it would be worth a thought. If it's still half price, it's a no brainer.

Without going into whether or not you need it, I would get to your Verizon store and buy it while its half price. You have 14 days to return it.
Personally, I didn't like the bulk and lack of cases. I am going to try and stick with the standard battery for now. I returned the extended. I may be wrong but time will tell.
In terms of what people are saying here about battery life with the extended battery, I agree.
FYI... the extended battery doesn't seem to add weight, just bulk.

It's not that bad size wise. I only notice it when going back to stock from extended. My phone feels tiny in my hand, lol.
If you can get it for 25 bucks why not get it?

I was thinking that it would be hard to find covers for it
I work in construction so I have have done in the past is buy a cover for the phone and also buy a leather holster and clip it to my work belt, i have dropped my dinc multiple times from around 8' and nothing has ever happened to it.
If I get the extra bulk Im wondering if I can find that type of setup
the 1/2 off price is Real tempting
I'm a pretty heavy user of the muliti-media aspects for my phones so when I bought my new Rezound a couple days ago I bought the Verizon sourced 1750 extended battery and cover. It's my backup up I know I'll be using it frequently going forward.
I upgraded from my original AMOLED dinc. I love my Dinc and I love this new Rezound.

I will need to check that out,
I looked online for the Rezound ext battery and could not find anything on the VWZ website.
thanks for the info
They pulled it down because people were exploiting some loophole to get it for $5. I figured it would have been back up by now though.
I picked up an extended battery a couple of weeks ago while they were on sale, and definitely appreciate the extra use time it gives me over the standard battery.
That much said, I'll be sticking with the smaller battery under most circumstances, mostly because I prefer the Seidio Surface case that will not accommodate the extended battery. The Verizon case that fits the thicker back leaves the top and bottom of the phone exposed, which makes me a bit nervous in the event of a fall. I'd love it if Seidio would make an extended Surface case.

It's definitely worth it as long as you can get it for $25, i just got one a few days ago. I like to run my phone at full power and brightness so it's great, I got 27 hours yesterday (9 hours awake) at full brightness and 1.8 GHz while the screen was on, but then again I was on wifi also.

thanks,
thats a pretty cool looking setup, but I would be afraid if the phone dropped on its back the camera lense would crap the bed.
Thanks for all the ideas
Dang, i forgot, when does this sale end again?

Anker 1900mah battery

After holding off forever on my launch day evo3d and getting sick of having to charge my phone at work and potentially missing a call from the wife in an emergency I decided to buy an anker battery. Holy cow. My tired nearly 2 year old battery was definitely worn. Before I'd get around 1 hour and 45 mins of screen on before I'd have to charge. I'm currently at 1 hour 12 minutes and have 71 percent left. Earlier today I stressed it and got to 2 hours 46 minutes screen on and was at 51 percent. Definite improvement. When ICS first came to our phones I noticed a big improvement over battery life and I've strived to get that back changing ROMs kernels etc. Finally bit the bullet and got a new battery.
Point is: if you are getting poor battery life and you have over a year old battery get a new one. I don't trust most batteries listed but this anker is good in my book. I will keep this thread updated for a while. Once I upgrade this phone will be my 3 year olds phone for playing bowling and other little things that stimulate his growing mind.
Well. Running latest dastin cm10.1 with buttered toast 16.4 at 1188 max iland xondemand I'm getting around 2 hours 50 minutes screen on. Usually around 30 percent at that point. Trying not to drain this battery completely. Either way, happy as hell with my phone battery life now.
Well my phone isn't over 1 year old but I feel the need to have atleast a second battery as a backup for LOOONG trips etc.
Since I tried the bulky battery packs from some friends and I found them terribly unpractical despite what the internet has to say about them, I would only but a battery that fits the stock case but offers bigger capacity than the one that comes from and it won't be a battery that is so bad quality that it's performance will drop in like one week, so I was considering Anker. My question is, is there any -PROVEN- to be better (capacity and quality wise) than Anker even if you have to forget completely the price? I'd be happy to spend a little more on a larger capacity battery that is good quality as far as it fits the stock casing.

Mugen Power batteries are usually considered the premium solution for cell phones and this one that fits the Evo 3D with the stock cover claims to have a little more capacity than the Anker model. I don't have either so I can't really give you any feedback on that, but for $46 on Amazon I think I'd rather go with the Anker two pack and charger for $30 on Amazon or the EC Technology equivalent for $18 on Amazon and pocket the change.
Edit: Here's a review of the Mugen Power battery by an Evo 3D user.

Thanx, this was exactly what I was thinking. Also since the battery is not tested I don't want to do experiemnts with my money for just 50mAh...
I've recently purchased a MugenPower 1950mAh battery for my Evo 3D. I's supposed to be delivered some day in April. I will post the results of the usage as soon as I get it. One thing must be said, it's not a cheap battery. But I just want to forget battery issues on my Evo and enjoy a whole day playing with it!
I've this on (the anker).
I would say it's quite the same perfomance as the original battery.
I got a pack of two vor 10€. Awesome price in my opinion.

Where did you get it so cheap? Send me PM please.
Also looking for replacement battery, as right now I charge 2-3 times a day on the stock 2 yr old batt.. curious about Mugen Batt, but anker seems tested and proven.. for $30 you get 2 batt with charger at amazon.. Hope the Mugen users out there comment about it before i can order the anker for comparison.
Using Ballistic cases, so bulky batt aint no option..
I've been using the Anker 1900 for a 1 1/2 months and it's excellent. I'm running DU 4.2.2 ROM with Mirage kernel. Speeds are set at 384/1188. The stock battery after 2 years would be darn near dead half way through the day with moderate use. This Anker lasts me the entire day with the same usage. I'm on twitter, web, calls, texting, taking pictures, and game here and there. There's been many nights when I plug it in with 30% or so left. I'll take a look tonight and get times, etc and post back.
I got my Anker yesterday evening. 8 AM this morning, i took my phone off charger and 12 hours later I'm on 48%. I'd say my use is moderate. Wifi is always on, mobile network on, lots of calls and some internet browsing. Pretty good for first charge. Oh, and my CPU is OCed to 1836MHz. Guys at Anker really know what they're doing
14 hours on battery with 3.5 hours screen on and still 28% to go
Don't know if anyone's here been using RavPower. I have heard quite a few times these days. Checked on their amazon store and find that their price is cheaper than Anker, what about the quality?
I just picked up the Anker battery for $17 on Amazon. Although capacity rating isn't much higher than stock I find that it definitely holds a charge longer and the drop off isn't nearly as fast. I'm on stock rom with MiRaGe kernel and a light user so I already get good battery life. But for the occasional trip I found that I can't get through the day on a full charge. So the anker give me some improvement without added bulk of a high capacity battery and for the few times I need it I now use the stock battery as a backup. At this price I would recommend picking one up.
In my opinion Thema Anker battery is Worth every Euro, just because does a way better Job than The Stock htc battery. Maybe it was just because my evo is a Bit old, but i Had to Charge it every 8 hours with Stock Rom which should have one of the best battery life. With my Anker its about 20-24 hours with regular usage

I use my phone a lot, sms and facebook.
And I can't really get through a whole day. 10hour, even 4 if me and my gf have a lot of time.
Will this have any improvements on me or just 1hour+ ?
And what about this:

DOnt mind giving 10$ if it will work for atleast a year or maybe half.
