[Q] Official CCNA courses on Prime - Asus Eee Pad Transformer Prime

hi folks,
recently i have tried to copy paste the CCNA courses (Exploration) from my laptop to the tablet. it is not too smart but i was thinking perhaps may work as the browser i use, Dolphin HD, support flash and java. finally copied the entire folder and launched the index.html. it worked the intro page including the flash but nothing else. no course can be launched.
was anyone able to figure it out how the official CCNA courses (installed on Windows) can be run on android?
highly appreciate it.

I'd be interested in seeing this work.. the the ATP will become my primary device then

i have the same problème... it works on debian but not on my acer a700. Help me
:crying: Tanks a lot.

I'm assuming that these courses aren't interactive; they're just a series of videos, right? Just transcode them into a format that Mobo Player or countless other video players will play.

There must be video files in one of the directories. I would suggest directly opening the video files than opening the index page or main app via browser. For video player, use MX Player.

It would be nice if this could work.
I will ask some application developers in my class some information
If i got some information i will come back on this matter.
It does work on Backtrack and CentOS, theoretically it also should work on android
Sorry for my bad English.
(Off-topic: I am doing CCNA 4 now and it's quite hard)

[INFO] Netflix Alternatives

Here are some great alternatives to netflix for your touchpad.
Hulu , works great but you may need to patch your browser to make it work.
epctv.com , watch live online tv, I watch CNN live on here.
crackle.com , they have a big selection of movies. Its not netflix but hay its free.
zinc.tv , you really should check this out. Online media center for your touchpad. Watch all kinds of shows for free with a great interface.
Epixhd.com - Great alternative to Netflix.
some of these sites may not work with ad blocker installed.
if anyone can think of others, please share.
tv.blinkx.com
and
sidereel.com
they host LINKS to sites that host the episodes so as far as I know (I could easily be wrong) it's legal.
If you have a hbo subscription wwwhbogo.com.
EPIXHD.COM works great on the TP. Just watched The Captains on it in HD.
thanks for the links!
rlee
This is a GREAT list!
Any idea how someone would be able to watch/listen to NFL games on the touchpad, or even at all? We recently moved 2 states away and won't be able to follow our local team.
Any help would be greatly appreciated.

probably using espn online since it's flash.
Also, al jazeera english has a live tv stream for news on youtube.com
"wwitv.com" EXACTLY like that. Its a crappy site but a great way to watch live broadcasts. I'm watching Fox's live broadcast from NY right now. Decent framerate, always live.
there is also orb streaming for the touchpad - (http://forums.precentral.net/hp-touchpad/294298-orb-media-streaming-awesome.html)
I've use orb in the past with dishnetwork, works great.
im looking forward to netflix finishing their switch from silverlight to html5 video. they already did for chrome os. when everything is sorted out on it, itll be open to linux and the others soon, and hopefully we can watch it in the touchpads browser soon.
Is there a patch on Preware for adding Hulu support to the browser?

the app video flood hd is really nice it has all the links you have listed and a lot more all wrapped up in a easy UI, and there is a Hulu fix in preware, for who want that.
If you're trying to add Hulu support, make sure you add these testing feeds to Preware.

Netflix is not currently available for WebOS devices. The forum at slickdeals suggests to reply to @Netflixhelps on Twitter and request an official release of the Netflix streaming app for WebOS.
Hulu is also not currently available for WebOS devices. There is a workaround I found posted, but that I personally have not tried. I will edit this post after I try it to let you know how it goes. Google "prewarewebosbuzz Hulu". First result.
You can stream video content from your PC to Touchpad by using Tversity. From slickdeals:
1. Install Tversity media server on your laptop/desktop.
2. After installation, add the files you want to view on the library tab. To add an avi file, go to Library, File system, Files and click add item on top.
3. Open cmd prompt on your computer, and type "ipconfig" There you should find your IP address. Note this down.
4.On your touchpad, open a web browser, then type in :41952/flashlib after your IP address. For example, h t t p : // 192.168.1.0 :41952/flashlib
There you should be able to browse your folders to find the video you are looking for. One problem is that you can't rewind/forward etc.
Again Slickdeals:
Amazon Video On Demand/Prime Videos works runs rather well. Audio holds up well but you might need to use the pop out function on the player over full screen to get it to fill the screen. It might lag when first starting it up but pausing and allowing it to buffer will allow it to self correct.

[Q] Playing DVD structure/ISO on Android?

Hello,
Is it possible to play a DVD's Structure or ISO (containing the "VIDEO_TS" folder) directly on Android with menus? If yes, how?
Sent from ParanoidAndroid 0.4a on Galaxy Note GT-N7000 using XDA App.
Yes. U first have to use a pc program called handbrake that will convert format for u, then u can watch it on ur device
Sent from my DROIDX using xda premium
Wouldn't it defeat the purpose of keeping the subtitle ?
Edit: I have found the solution:
Extract files contained in ISO file to your Smartphone and use Daroon Player
you'll be able to play a DVD with the menus.

Hi, is there a solution to stream DVD ISO directly to an android device?
I ripped all my DVDs (ISOs are all located in my NAS) and will not convert my collection to play it on my phone/tablet. If android cannot perform such a basic thing, I will have no choice but turning to surface and win8. Would be sad but if there's no choice...
I believe it is possible but you will have to look into DLNA and such, I do not have the possibilities to confirm it since I did not try it myself.
I think you should create another topic to have more chances of obtaining an accurate response.

Hi, I installed XBMC on my android tv stick and it appears to play some DVD ISO files. I say some because out of about 15 I tried 2...one worked and the other didn't.
You'll need to download the xbmc.apk file from www.xbmc.org and have your security settings set so u can install third party applications.
Gavin
Is there a way to directly mount ISOs now or do I still have to extract the files? By the way, VLC and BS Player can open the ISO but they won't get further than the menue.
chris198810 said:
It will be only possible if you'd like to convert the DVD ISO, or "VIDEO_TS" folder to Android friendly format. There are some video convert tool can help you, like the free Handbrake, but it needs a third-party software still; or Brorsoft dvd ripper, it will cost you some $ or so, it will help you fast rip and convert your home or commercial DVD ISO image files or VIDEO_TS folder to a common video like MP4 for your Android device within one-stop.

What is mor eimportnat it was able to stream those videos from my NAS drive - old WD My Book World via smb (samba).
I tried Buzz for Android but it is truly terrible . Nothing like app on iOS + very expensive to buy.
Would you have anyy suggestion - what I should try? (BTW: option for Windows Store - "try" before "buy" is really helpfull - would love to see it on Google Play!).
And what is the best (free) barcode scanner as there is no Bing in S3.. ?

I managed to root the device. But running droidmote is still an issue. I got the server up and running, but when using the client it just doent give a response. When starting the server using the huge button it sometimes doesnt run. Just when using the button several times it goes to status started.
Im using server 3.0.7 and client 3.4.4.
I read something about uinput. My device has the sys/modules/uinput folder. But it just has one file called version. So i think i probably miss you right uinput files. Can somebody help me to compile such a file?

you have uinput. you must only use the last version of the server and the last version of the client otherwise not work.
last server version at this date and time is 3.1.3
last version client at this date and time is 3.4.4
the protocol between the server and the client is changed for that reason you need the last versions.
If you buyed the server why not update ? only if you not buyed you can't update
Hi Zulu99,
Yes it works now, i updated to the latest version.
Which "mediacenter" application do you recommend with this device? I installed XBMC but its terrible slow. I also tried a combination of XBMC nightly build with MXplayer. Playing the videos works fine now. But i think the interface of the Nightly build isnt that great. I prefer the interface of the official XBMC.
I also buyed the full version of Archos player. This player plays everything fine, but the problem with Archos is that it keeps scanning my whole HDD for new media, and i just want to select an folder which should be scanned. Any idea how to fix this?
Or do you know a better solution?
Thx
The best solution would be using the android standard video player in combination with XBMC. Till now the only player which displayed Avatar SBS 3d flawless was the standard android player. All other players like, MOBO, BS player, MX player lagged alot.
Does anybody know how to disable the bottom banner of mx player during full screen. I read something about Gesture applications, but this is more for touch devices and this isnt the case for me.
I use XBMC with MX Player.
I love MX Player for another reason. In combination with DreamDroid, i receive the tv streaming from my satellite decoder DreamBox.
I see all tv channels in any room on my Tablet or on Minix Neo G4 attached via hdmi to any tv. and control it with DroidMote.
I like the zoom-in functions for the video in MX Player and is full compatible and controllable with DroidMote.
look this video, especially the last part:

how to run flashplayer on tab 3 10.1 with android 4.2.2

I just bought this tablet in bestbuy. I know nothing about rooting so I would like to make it simple. I would like to run software based on flash, at least that is what they said to me. I would like to watch movie channels on weeb.tv which streams live tv . All I have is black screen on each channel. When I used my PC I have no problems, it runs smooth.
My dream is to conne t my tablet to my hdtv and watch these tv channels in 1080p. I have just ordered micro usb to hdmi adapter. I hope that by the time it arrives you guys will help me.
I tried xbmc but it also has some problems because either it doesn't work or work but in frames, horrible.
I spent last 24hrs to find different versions of flashplayer, usually versions 10.3 and 11.1, but nothing seems to work or maybe I do something wrong.

Hi, on my samsung galaxy tab 3 10.1 (GT-P5200) not rooted Android 4.2.2 flash did not work with next browser, boat browser, dolphin, standard browser or chrome. Flash works with Puffin and Photon browser. The Puffin Browser works sometimes very slow sometimes it is okay.
The Photon is a little bit better but not fast, but it is enough to stream web tv, video, live sports streams fluently. In the free version you must activate the flash player for each event/program again. I hope that will help somebody.
On my old samsung galaxy tab 10.1N (GT-P7501) rooted Android 4.3.1 flash works with every browser fast and stable.

It is very likely that flash player can be installed on any rooted android device (including Samsung gt p5200), without using any flash player app.
From the page: http://www.dvd3000.ca/flasharchives.html#release ,you can download fp_32.0.0.207_archive.zip. Once you open this file inside, you will find the files:
flashplayer32_0r0_207_linux_sa.x86_64.tar.gz, flashplayer32_0r0_207_linux_sa_debug.x86_64.tar.gz flashplayer32_0r0_207_linux.x86_64.tar.gz,
flashplayer32_0r0_207_linuxpep.x86_64.tar.gz
If your android is 32 bit use the files:
flashplayer32_0r0_207_linux.i386.tar.gz, flashplayer32_0r0_207_linux_sa.x86_64.tar.gz, flashplayer32_0r0_207_linuxpep.i386.tar.gz
flashplayer32_0r0_207_linux_sa_debug.x86_64.tar.gz
Rename each one of these 4 files to something easy to type. For example flashp1.tar.gz , flashp2.tar.gz etc.
How to open these files:
It's easy for everyone who owns a Linux operating system. But there is an alternative solution.
Did you know that a rooted Android has the ability to completely open all these files with one command? I will describe how to open these files
using a rooted Android. Open Play Store app and type on search line: Terminal Emulator for Android and install this app.
Connect your Android with your PC and transfer all 4 previously downloaded files to the internal storage (SD card) of your Android. Next open Terminal Emulator app and type (After each command press enter):
[su]
[cd /mnt/sdcard]
[mkdir flashc] This command will create an empty folder with the name flashc.
[mv flashp1.tar.gz /mnt/sdcard/flashc] This command will move the file flashp1.tar.gz inside the folder flashc.
