Yes my Prime went from 40% battery life to totally dead when I woke up this morning....... I knew when they finally found a fix for the lockup issue they would screw everyone else over somehow this is last straw I am returning this once and for all.
EDIT: This appears to have been a one time thing I have tested the battery with sleep since this happened this morning and everything appears to be just fine..... also my antutu benchmark scores even went up a little
EDIT: Well nevermind my battery life sucks drains 40% in 2 hours at 25% brightness just browsing the web my Wi-Fi also randomly now disconnects and I have to click in to network settings and all of a sudden it will reconnect. I want 1.11 back or my money back for the Prime.

Same experience for me. The latest update has killed my once great battery life. I'm kind of pissed, considering I never suffered from the reboot/freezing issues that the update was made to address.

Time for Gary to create a new Offical Asus thread so he can tell us for weeks they are looking into a fix for it.... Then if we finally get a fix for it who knows what else it will break its not worth it anymore folks i am returning for a refund.

yea I fixed my post.... yesterday I had read differently....sounds to me they heard some people saying they weren't rebooting anymore and are now calling this a fix for it........I will be keeping an eye on my battery life......before the update it would take me over a day to kill the battery with keyboard.

um you shouldn't b jumping to conclusions, in my experience it is not unusual to have crap battery life after a firmware upgrade, aspecially if you have a lot of apps, it has to rebuild caches and all that, so usualy sorts it self out after a couple of days.
The other thing is we can't see what apps could be causing battery drain as Asus hasn't enabled it yet.

Jumping to conclusions? I have never woke up in the morning to turn my Prime on and find it was turned off because the battery had died I think that's as conclusive as can be.

Better Battery Stats will show you exactly what apps or processes is draining your battery. Or what's causing wakelocks(when device wakeups for reason out of sleep to update info or app process) and deep sleep issues. Its free n made by an xda member. Just type it in the search.

That's not necessarily true, sometimes a broken app, incompatible app, or apps that crashed can keep the processor running. When I first got my galaxy sII the battery drains like crazy. But after a factory reset it was 100 times better. I wouldn't jump straight to conclusion with a one time thing. After all, pics, quad core are still new.

BUT if only 1 thing changed, the OTA update, you can rule that logic out. If he got the OTA update AND changed a bunch of stuff that is possible. As I read it, only change is OTA update and thus, you can start to narrow down the cause.

The system update is not draining the battery life at all, if anything the way the system ha been adjusted to utilize the cores, it should save some battery life. battery drain is caused by an app running in the background, tat is probably not closing properly. Check to see if anything is running in the background, or maybe an app that you recently installed is not working properly. My battery can go a day without needed to be recharged, and this is with heavy gaming/app usage, as well as other prime owners whom have updated. Please try to root out another cause of the problem before just assuming its due to the update.

Yes it did, and mine and hundreds of other owners have not had any battery issue, so I don't see it causing battery issues for some and not others. Have you recently installed any new apps/games? Did you try a fresh reboot? I'm not calling you a liar, I'm just saying check for other possible causes. The speed of the cores have been adjusted somewhat with the new update to help save battery life. Use the link provided a few posts above to see whats running and using the most battery on your device..I bet that's what is killing yuor battery

I left my tablet in my work bag most of the day, in sleep mode. Around 4 PM I go to use it, and it is AMAZINGLY warm/hot, and the battery is dead. I cannot remember what I was using the night before, but something made the processor churn all day, and eventually kill the battery.
I think I did leave it on Performance mode - but can't for the life of me think what could have caused this to happen.
I know - not very helpful as I am not on .13 - but just pointing out yours could have been a fluke.
Charged when I got home last night - and all seems fine today.......

Exactly, this just means that your Prime was *working* constantly, which means that there was an app/game that was running constantly without your knowledge. try a fresh reboot and see if that helps, also, try to find the culprit which is causing your prime to stay active.

You wouldn't be the first one to complain about the sleep mode battery drain on 11.1. I am also quite sure that the .13 version is heavily based on that 11.1 beta.

You have an app that is driving data to your phone, causing the wifi chip to wake the phone all the time. Apparently a system app - a lot of people have been having this issue with KK6.
Beyond this - sorry, but if you are not rooted you will have to live with it. Identifying what is triggering the wifi interrupts requires obtaining a Wireshark capture, this is not possible without root. Even if a common root cause is found for what's going on with KK6, it's most likely in /system itself so can't be fixed without a custom ROM or at least rooting.
If you're not willing to root, why are you on a firmware developer forum? Have AT&T help you instead if you're on 100% bone stock unrooted.
Well if it's an APP causing it, then many many people must be running the same app cause all of the various forums out there are a lot of people with the battery drain after updating to 2.3.6. Even a lot of my customers have mentioned it also.
I doubt it is an APP doing it. I'd bet it is just some bad coding on Samsung's part. They are probably getting a lot of complaints and are most likely already looking into it.
As far as the why he is here if he doesn't root. Well I don't root as well and have no desire to being as stock works just great. (other than the battery drain)
This is a great place to hang out and keep up on other people using various phones. He posted in the General section, not the Developer's section for this phone. So I think his/her question was valid.
If he was asking the question in the Developers section I would understand your concern. But I don't feel you have to be into cooked ROMS to value this forum.

I'm not rooted with wifi on all the time just got the phone 3 days ago and I'm getting 14-15hrs with no issue down to about 15-20% battery life left before I have to stick back on charger. Could be a bad battery or device, I'm coming over from Sprint after using rooted evo3d and rooted photon.

If you don't want to root, you're probably better off in the AT&T support forums, because honestly, it isn't worth our time to try and help someone who doesn't want to root fix a problem that is almost sure to require root access to fix, or in this case, even diagnose.
I do believe many are having this issue after upgrading to kk6 (with same apps installed). I had the issue as well.
May be a system app, or something in /system causing an app to become unhappy.
Either way, it's not going to get fixed without Shark for Root captures from those encountering problems.

I don't think it anything to do with KK6. As Entropy said its an app causing a wake lock. I'm run Ingram KK6 without any issues with battery.

Having this issue as well. Phone is stock. Ive been here since the captivate but I hang around with the sgs2. Never needed to root this phone as it works perfectly for me. But I did the update this morning at 100% charge and 9 hours later with no use it's down to 9%. I could go all day with moderate use and be at 30-40% by the time I go to bed.
I read on a rather long on a google forum that many had this issue after upgrading via ota but who knows. I found that wiping dalvik and flashing unnamed update again I have much better batter life. I did read in update that he reverted to an earlier kernel signature to fix the battery drain.
Im going back to 2.3.4 via this method.

Losing 10% of my battery at idle /hour is ridiculous lol. Android os was at 87+% within 3 hours of restart.

Okay so I did this method. Took about 5 mins after I got everything downloaded. I did not do the factory reset since it's not needed. Phones back to 2.3.4 and nothing was reset. Have all my sms's contacts, aps, wallpapers etc. Battery seems to be back to normal.
I recommend everyone who did that 2.3.6 update to revert back. To many problems with it.
I never entered download mode on this phone before. Just a tip: Keep holding all the buttons till the phone seems like it shuts off and keep holding them till you get into download mode. Do not let go or else it just powers off.
For the purposes of attempting to fix the problem, I really would like some people to take some Shark for Root captures as described in my Known Battery Drainers thread.
With that data, the root cause of the problem might be identifiable.
So far I've only seen one capture, I really need more unless I can reproduce the problem myself.

I read a possible solution on another forum and tried it with my SGS2 today and am amazed at the difference today in my battery life.
Worth a shot as it does not require anything more than charging your phone and pulling the battery.
Charge your phone to 100% with the phone off (hold the power button for 3 seconds or so until the menu comes up and select power off). When you reach 100%, unplug the charger and remove your battery (some said keep the battery removed for 90 seconds while others said 3-5 minutes). I left my battery out for 5 minutes or so. Put the battery back in and power on.
That was it. My Android OS went back to normal and the battery life today has been great if not better then with 2.3.6 than before I updated.

Quite possible, but still running on the same charge from this morning and am at 28% battery after 14+ hours of normal use which is all I expect (calls, texts and light web browsing during the day over data) and then couple hours of web use at night over Wi-Fi when at home.
The last few days I was charging the phone when I got home from the office if I wanted to use it at night. Android OS was way up in the 60+ range after I first updated OTA and today it has been under 20% and more near 15%, so I'll take it.

I did this and saw absolutely no change. 2.3.6 is draining my battery far faster than 2.3.4 ever did. The culprit is the Android OS running at 90%.
I read that it might be an issue with the wifi so I have turned that off and will report back if that seems to fix it.
I read on another forum that att and Samsung are trying to blame it on bad batteries and shipping out new batteries.
What a bunch of crap. People everywhere wouldn't suddenly all have bad batteries at the same time. Sounds like usual BS.
I personally think its just some bad coding that Samsung needs to figure out.
On a different note, I played with the Verizon Droid Razr yesterday. Man that is a really nice phone. I'm tempted to get it, but I work for att and get free cell service, so it wouldn't make sense to pay for Verizon service, even though I think their network is better.

Android OS is definately eating up the battery now. I think it does have to do with wifi, because it seems to be much improved with it off. I'll take a free battery as long as I don't need to exchange the old one.
Well I had two choices last night, exchange my perfect transformer prime (working gps/wifi, no bleeding) in for another one due to averaging 4-5 hours of battery life after .15 on powersaving - or to unlock the bootloader and test to confirm it's not the battery.
I decided the more risky choice to void the warranty because I didn't want to gamble getting a bad unit. Installed CWM, flashed virtuous (.14 version) - battery is performing quite well so far.
Still need to test it a few discharge cycles but it's looking like .15 was a bad egg at this point.
Um, er... Battery life on mine is much better on .15. I can get 10 hours ebook reading, light browsing, etc. 7 hours on heavy browsing, video, etc. The only thing that would take me down to less than 7 hours is heavy gaming (e.g., Shadowgun). And this is all running on Balanced mode with auto brightness.
I haven't heard of poor battery life being a hardware-specific issue (although it's possible, I suppose). But it's also not specific to .15. I'd think that anything that limits to 4-5 hours is either than quite unusual hardware problem or some app or background service that you were running that was causing problems.
There were at least 3 reports that I'm aware of that .15 was a battery killer. My battery life was never amazing (think my tf101 gets better life) but on .15 it was just ridiculous - which lead to speculation that my unit may have a bad battery. As far as apps go - BBS said my browser was killing my battery - but I'm using the same browser on a different rom without as serious of a drain.

you have to think about it, that's only 3 reports out of over 320 xda prime owners here. I've got great battery life also with .15. well at least you getting good battery life with virtuous rom. that's all that matters.
.15 fixed all battery drain problems that all people experienced with .14. .14 caused significant battery problems for everyone without exception, and .15 fixed it for everyone, without exception.
If you're having battery problems, it's definitely not related to .15.

You're joking, right? I would actually amend my own post to say that it COULD be .15, but likely if there's some app that a person is running that doesn't play well with .15 for some reason. My point was only that I would look hard at running apps and services before concluding either that the hardware is bad or that .15 is NECESSARILY bad, in and of itself.
Doesn't mean, though, that .15 couldn't be interacting with something on this user's machine that previous updates did not...

Question. Why void warranty to find out? Why not just root it, and go back to stock .14 Asus official image, using the "replace the blob" process in the dev section? I had some issues with .15 myself - the very first FW update that did not agree with my Prime. Nothing disasterous, but some static lines, and bobbing of the screen a few times, but it blew away the best GPS numbers I had achieved to date (I know, I know, but I am stubbornly hanging onto the dream, LOL!) Anyway, I rolled back to stock 14 and all is well again. Unless you had issues there as well?

And that is EXACTLY why we need Asus to provide SOME kind of documentation with these updates, otherwise, it's like we are all walking around in the dark, applying everything they put out there. I can see the logistic issues with changelogs, but really, this method is madness. I commend Asus for providing fixes, but without documentation, they have limited value to people trying to resolve an issue or 3

that's what I trying to tell him in his other thread instead of going the drastic route. but if its working well for him then so be it. only thing is, flashing that rom wouldn't really tell you what the issue was. that virtuous rom going to get decent battery life anyways because its optimized, Zip aligned, and stripped of some stock apps.
I'm so tempted to try out Virtuous rom. all I here is good things about it. plus it has 1.6Ghz overclock built into Asus quick settings.

I'm hitting on the second day on .15 with my dock At this moment the dock is at 17% and the tablet at 74%. Battery statistics are jacked up thanks to the dock so I can't provide a screenshot of my time off the charger
Hope ASUS or Virtuous and the like will somehow fix that so we can get an accurate look at our batteries even with the dock.
I have noticed though, that .14 was loving 102 MHz and .15 loves to sit at 475 MHz. Seems they put the same idea of a fix for .15 vs .14 as they did .13 vs .11, they're just leaving the lower states actually intact. I mean, they're being used, just not as much as they were.
Only problem I had with battery life was on .13 - .14 and .15 have been back to normal on my C1, no issues here...

Question. Why void warranty to find out? Why not just root it, and go back to stock .14 Asus official image, using the "replace the blob" process in the dev section? I had some issues with .15 myself - the very first FW update that did not agree with my Prime. Nothing disasterous, but some static lines, and bobbing of the screen a few times, but it blew away the best GPS numbers I had achieved to date (I know, I know, but I am stubbornly hanging onto the dream, LOL!) Anyway, I rolled back to stock 14 and all is well again. Unless you had issues there as well?

And that is EXACTLY why we need Asus to provide SOME kind of documentation with these updates, otherwise, it's like we are all walking around in the dark, applying everything they put out there. I can see the logistic issues with changelogs, but really, this method is madness. I commend Asus for providing fixes, but without documentation, they have limited value to people trying to resolve an issue or 3

because i didn't feel comfortable with the brick rate. I still have 30 day exchange with gamestop anyway... I doubt they boot their exchanged units into recovery to check if the bootloader is unlocked - and even if they do, I'm exchanging it through gamestop's rules - not necessarily asus's.

I'm hitting on the second day on .15 with my dock At this moment the dock is at 17% and the tablet at 74%. Battery statistics are jacked up thanks to the dock so I can't provide a screenshot of my time off the charger
Hope ASUS or Virtuous and the like will somehow fix that so we can get an accurate look at our batteries even with the dock.
I have noticed though, that .14 was loving 102 MHz and .15 loves to sit at 475 MHz. Seems they put the same idea of a fix for .15 vs .14 as they did .13 vs .11, they're just leaving the lower states actually intact. I mean, they're being used, just not as much as they were.

Do you think a tool similar to setcpu would work on tegra 3 to lower the minimal cpu speed? Perhaps that could be the problem. In sleep my unit purrs, but I'm thinking the tegra 3 could also be running too high on average for remedial processes, kind of like you said.

Yes and no. Others seem to successfully be using it.
Whenever I use my SetCPU I'm greeted with random reboots, especially if I use profiles to try and underclock.
You might could use ViperControl or the other in the dev section to at least manually set it through terminal emulator to run some tests as to whether or not that is your issue.
But the higher CPU states are definitely what were killing my battery on .13 and now .15 (although it's not nearly as bad... for me... but it did provide me with my first random reboot caused by the system).
I've used both SetCPU and Vipercontrol since picking up my TFP, and not once under any firmware so far have I had any random reboots.. AT ALL. Everything works fine.
Did you ever try a factory reset and run it stock for a day or two to see if it went away? It's an easy way to rule out an app causing it.

I had it stock for 5 or 6 hours last night and it was still .15 and the battery usage didn't seem to improve.

I think I may need to undervolt my tablet.
Oh absolutely. After undervolting, my phone went from 1 to 3 days use.
What am I looking at here though, what's that app? Just another way of looking at the percentages spent at each state huh?
That's a solid amount at the 1.2 GHz there. I only show that kind of usage if I forget and leave Shadowgun or GTA III running while I take one of my strolls around town. Even spending an hour and a half on Skype last night, the majority of my time was spent around 880 MHz.

It's setcpu, info, time in state. thought you said it caused reboots for you. Are you using an old version

I tried my hand at building a working jb release when I first got the phone and it is going to take a skill set I do not have and I hate waiting on a company to do what they've never done in the past..

Easy, brother. I have only had one of my apps/utilities run higher than AndroidOS ever on this phone; however, that said, I think there is a problem with the way it's being calculated. I'm getting really good battery life with good sleep and still AndroidOS shows the highest by far. I know that's abnormal for it to be so high and still get good battery life, but it is what it is.
Edit: you've installed the fast dormancy toggle, right? As for the yellow screen, I've seen it once in my two months with the phone, just rebooted and carried on. Forgot what they said it was...but it is here in this forum somewhere.

I was just about to post something similar. Andriod OS being high kind of makes sense if nothing else is using the battery, although you would expect that number to fall significantly with increased screen on time and heavy app usage, which it doesn't ever seem to.
I've been having horrible battery drain lately. I'm currently traveling for business, and just use my OG for web surfing and stuff when I'm in my hotel. I leave the phone in airplane mode, with WiFi on. About two weeks ago, when I was on The Base 0.4 in that same configuration, my battery would drain maybe 1% an hour while I was sleeping.
Recently I've been on The Base 0.7.3, and my battery drains over 5% an hour while I'm sleeping. This means no screen on, no apps running, and even turning WiFi off! How does it use that much battery when it's not doing anything? Now, I'm not entirely sure what kernel I'm running. The first time I installed The Base 0.7.3 I used sk8's kernel. After getting poor battery life, I reflashed 0.7 and 0.7.3, this time choosing the freegee kernel. I'm not actually sure if the kernel changed though.
Anyway, I think I'll post again tomorrow with some screenshots from Better Battery Stats+ and CPU Spy.
I'm wondering if this recent botched update had the battery fixes we need. Hopefully they'll re-release it soon.

When I would get bad drain, which has happened several times, I could narrow it down to a couple things in order to solve the problem.
In my case it would always happen after installing Google+. Uninstall and reboot would usually fix the issue. If I got drain on a fresh install without g+ installed, I found that if I installed the 2.2 kernel separately as a stand alone zip, that would fix it. Don't know why but it may work for you too.
I don't have screen shots, but today I recharged at 38% after 3:10 of phone use and 1:55 screen on time and about 15 hours off charger. That's with Wi-Fi on the whole time and Bluetooth for about 9 hours. I have my work exchange account on active sync with push notifications. Facebook and Twitterer to 4 hour intervals. I'm underclocked to 1350 and using powersave gov with deadline.

Believe you are correct. There were issues on the Samsung Infuse and even the international SGS3 for a while... it was referred to as 'memory leak.' Has been worked out by devs on XDA. You can put memory leak in the XDA search above... it's above my pay grade.
Edit: It's great to see another RD here... hope you will reconsider keeping the phone and stay !!

Thanks for pointing me in the right direction. I have Google+ uninstalled, but part of me thinks Google Now may be partially the culprit (although why that would be the case with all radios off, I don't know).
I'll try a fresh install of the 2.2 kernel and see if that helps. Thanks.

I would be less inclined to believe it is a faulty measure if we had a different ROM not built off stock (AOKP/CM10) that could produce different values. However, I seriously doubt anything built into either of the two custom ROM's is geared toward normalizing that reading. That's why they are both the same as the stock AndroidOS percentages. Jivy is probably right that it's a kernel issue. With the size battery we have, imagine the potential if it is a true reading (androidOS out-of-control) and we can get it under control down the road. We're talking double the current best battery life you've ever had on this phone at the very least.

Get BetterBatteryStats, select Since unplugged and Alarms to see what is waking the device (making it not go into a deep sleep). eBay was a big culprit for me.
The wakelock that keeps the phone awake during background data transfer (screen off) lasts 6 seconds (I am guessing it does it in multiples of 6s) regardless of how long the sync takes. Everytime email, facebook, gmail, drive, picasa, twitter, g+, google maps, ebay, calendar, contacts.. whatever wakes the phone to check something, it will be a minimum of 6 seconds.. This adds up over the course of the day and it is counted in the Android OS. Shut down syncs you don't absolutely want/need and this number will go down. All phones with the Snapdragon S4 Pro has it, especially the Nexus4. It seems they've done some kernel work to fix/reduce it but I havent really looked into it since I don't have that phone. I've seen complaints in the Droid DNA forum as well.

Anyone else experiencing scrolling lag or delay. Clearing cache and wiping dalvik fixes it but the issue returns after about two days.

I have recently (half a week ago) updated my SII to Jelly Bean from ICS. It's fully stock without root. However, I noticed right away that the battery started draining very quickly and the phone sometimes gets hot. Did a factory reset. Factory reset the phone and format the internal SD and remove the external SD. Didn't help in the slightest. Phone starts draining after resetting. I have tried to flash another stock JB ROM (XEU) and afterwards factory reset the phone again. No dice. I installed CPU Spy to see CPU consumption and it says the phone didn't go into deep sleep at all and 95% of the time it was at 200 Mhz over an 8 hour period or so. So there's a wakelock that's keeping the phone continuously on.
At first, "Media" in battery settings in Settings was the culprit, it drained about 50% of the battery. I have searched the web and it's a pretty common battery drain on JB. I did try to disable the service and its battery consumption went down dramatically. But for some reason it turned on again. But right now Android OS and Android System are both draining most of the battery. I have also installed BetterBatteryStats and according to that app there is a partial wakelock called "NlpWakeLock" by Google Services that's draining most of the battery. Last night, around 60% of the battery got drained overnight (80% > 23% to be precise). Which, clearly, is unacceptable.
I'm at my wits end. I have no idea how to solve this and because I really like the new JB features I don't want to go back to ICS (I did a fresh ICS install and the battery drained 2% overnight which is how it's supposed to be).
If there's any information you need to know let me know. Any help is appreciated!

Is your device rooted?
If yes then switch your kernel to apolo it's gives you good battery life

Do you mean going back to Gingerbread? I haven't figured out what the speedmod kernel is yet but if I were to switch back I would rather switch back to ICS. But preferably I'd stick to JB since I do love all the new features and options. I'm willing to flash another JB ROM without the battery drain issue. However, all stock ROMs that I have tried had the issue.
Do you know of any good JB ROM? I prefer to keep it as stock as possible. I did root when I had ICS installed though.

Hey Kaigo ,
I have faced the same problem as you have faced ... Gone through a lot of problems to fix this Many of the Stock JB's for GS2 are having a lot of issues with the battery drainage
Well I had found a solution to this problem You can try installing the JB France update (XEF) & the UAE update (XSG)
It worked pretty well for me Try it and let me know if it worked for you

Well repeating other peoples posts isnt helping anybody.
An update. I've installed the XEF update initially it had the same draining issue. However, I've also cleared cache and data in recovery mode and it seems to have solved most of the issue. I've got pretty good battery life now (about 1%/h idle).
But I did find another culprit draining the battery which is Dropbox. According to BBS the processes "wlan_rx_wake" and "h2_hsic" were draining the battery but I've uninstalled Dropbox now and it seems to have solved the issue. I really use Dropbox regularly though. Anyone got any idea what could be causing that?

I have always had that feature disabled since I don't want to use it anyway. I have no clue what could be causing it. I want to use a packet sniffer to see what is sending and receiving data but the phone isn't rooted so I can't really do that unfortunately.
Hold on, I'ma freeze it with TiBu.

I just greenify Dropbox (actually, all apps which rely on an internet connection). Unfortunately for you, it requires root. IMHO, almost worth rooting for, although there's many better reasons than that.
Greenify is almost like a temporary freezing of the app, by stopping all background processes for the app. They automatically restart when you launch the app, and automatically turn off when the phone goes to deep sleep.

Well Dropbox always keeps on syncing stuff from the cloud and that might the real cause You should disable all the automatic syncing and keep it to manual sync as it syncs only on your commands and saves your battery!!

Check how much data is being downloaded. If a lot is being downloaded off WiFi, switch it off and see if that stops your drain. Then switch off Data on your cellular. Just to check which one's causing the drain. Believe it or not, I just rebooted my home wifi router and battery drain issue was over on my Galaxy S2.

I had previously rooted my phone when I was on ICS. I never used it too often though. I wanted to use Nandroid. I have no clue how to root JB though, without flashing a modded kernel (which I did with ICS).

That's very interesting. This might just be a good reason to root the phone. So I can use network log or shark to see which apps are sending and/or receiving data. I have this feeling Dropbox is going to be one of them..

Greenify is almost like a temporary freezing of the app, by stopping all background processes for the app. They automatically restart when you launch the app, and automatically turn off when the phone goes to deep sleep.

Hmm, but I guess that you can't really freeze apps like Whatsapp, since you wouldn't be able to receive any messages then until you turn on your phone. But I'm getting convinced to root the phone again so I'm definitely going to give it a try.

And it really does look kind of..... underwhelming? like nothing there is very useful or important at large.
But the update actually brought nice stuff.

I myself have noticed improvements in the time to fingerprint unlock, network seems to be faster and more stable in comparison to March, and my network battery usage went down from being around 30% to around 5%!
So all in all I'm happy with this update even though it didn't seem meaningful at the beginning. It makes this phone more fine tuned and worth.
Have you-all noticed any improvements?

Yes much better. One day in only but noticeable for sure.

I used the android flash tool it factory reset my phone but that's not big deal for me I restored my backup from Google one.
I have noticed the fingerprint sensor is working better my phone seems to not get as good reception but the network is also not using 30% anymore it more like 10 or 15 which is still high but where I'm at now doesn't really have great reception to begin with

I usually wait for the update notification upon checking updates available. This time it didn't seem it was forthcoming anytime soon since my wife's P5 didn't get it either. So I sideloaded it yesterday. It took all of 7 - 10 min from recovery to reboot. Not sure what the delay is but I just didn't feel like waiting for them to do whatever the eff they need to do to release it.

I've definitely noticed an improvement in the fingerprint reader. I haven't noticed any different in network - but more so because I am usually on WiFi and generally don't have network issues when I am not.

Yeah, I ended up sideloading it. No issues, and everything feels a little snappier
I sideloaded it Monday afternoon. Wasn't having any issues before and am not having any issues after.
It's a little early to tell, but I think battery life has improved. I ended the day both Monday and Tuesday with a battery that was about 10%-15% higher than usual.
Being able to use music player like neutron working again is brilliant I had the update on Monday about 11pm I'm in uk
i installed June update 2 days ago. not sure if it is the update or battery guru which was installed at the same time, but now my phone ACTUALLY goes into deep sleep (as reported by battery guru)!!
Its always in deep sleep now for around 15/16hrs between charges and battery drain is down to as little as 1% per hr when screen off. Before I could lose around 20/30% from around 10pm (last phone use) until 6.30am when i pick my phone up the following morning.
One thing i am having issue with SINCE the June update is pixel launcher. Im getting errors saying it has stopped working. I Use Lawnchair anyway, but thats not the point. Just before I get the error about pixel launcher, the phone goes really slow.
A restart of the phone hasn't solved the issues and i have also cleared data/cache from the launcher to no avail.
I NEED TO CONNECT MULTIPLE BLUETOOTH DEVICES AT ONCE!
one weird error I have since updating. If I pull down the notification tab as soon as i click a notification, instead of opening it it will lock the screen
Noticed much improved battery life as well. A 2% drop in active usage and much better standby battery drain. Took my phone out of the charger at 1pm yesterday and I'm at 48% as of writing this message the net day at 6:35pm. Moderate active usage between then and now.
EDIT:
Forgot to mention that my phone doesn't seem to randomly overheat anymore while casually browsing the web.

Phone finally shut down today at 4pm, with around 50hours of total battery life and 6ish hours of screen time. This is probably the single biggest overall battery life improvement I've ever experienced just from installing an update alone on any phone I've owned.
NVM, I found the setting.
Definitely not better here battery or network wise after the June patch.
