Seems to me like a white Rezound, but the specs tend to be more of high end or international release... But even this has ICS ... and it might possibly be Verizon (likely)

They have a picture of the back of a phone and they know that much?
*looks at the back of my rezound* yes this definately looks like a 1.5 GHz LTE global phone with a 720 p screen
Seems to me the bullshitted the specs and used this for attention. Wouldn't believe much, it does have the incredible like battery cover so its possible for that to be the incredible HD
from my ADR6425LVW using Tapatalk

Not sure how the specs are better than the Rezound, when the leaks say it has a dual core 1.2ghz cpu, which could be slightly lower end vs the dual 1.5ghz the Rezound offers. Plus, it there is no word of a 720p display or what size the display is. As others have said it has ICS, yet 4.0 buttons, and it looks be running a Sense version that maybe a mix of 3.5/3.6 and 4.0 vs the other device leaks, which look a bit different to my eye.

incredible 3?

I think so... Single LED flash and 1.2Ghz processor don't seem to be enough to upgrade from the Rezound... Definitely an upgrade from Inc2 though

this does not look better than the rezound spec wise ... sorry

assuming rumored specs are true...
id guess this is htc's new "mid-tier" offering...which is fine
if battery life is really good, id consider making this my next phone

Incredible 3 has sense 4.0. I doubt were going to have an offical sense 3.6. Jumping to 4.0 is what HTC might do. This phone is probably the one that were going to dump sense 4.0 off of first for our Rezound. Why couldn't they make the Rezound that thin.

just curious to see what the resolution is on the supposed "inc 3"
if its not hd, and its qhd, then porting sense 4 from it is kinda pointless

If HTC pulls the "lets release the same phone 3 different times" crap that motorola does, I will be weary of purchasing HTC again

The lack of Verizon branding on the exterior seems odd, and no bloat... from what the screenshot can show...
Prototype - Possibly
Final Build -- haha

No beats branding either.....
KORM via the beast known as the Rezound.

there was a beats toggle in settings however

The thing that bugs me is... No Verizon crap... no logo no apps... whose to say they didn't just add the Verizon Wallpaper/Boot ? ... Sure it be nice that they finally managed to keep CDMA/LTE radio in a thin profile .. but rumors are rumors .. we'll find out in Barcelona (maybe)

Rooted/OC'd Rezound Vs. Galaxy Nexus

gotta love that rezound love!
Is that app, correct? Cause the nexus and galaxy a II beats out the rezound. I don't get why.
PS.... Love my phone and wouldn't trade it for one of those two.

What ROM and kernel are you running?

Funny, my girlfriend has the same case, lol.
Never used that benchmark app- but is it skewed by the fact that the nexus is running ics or is it purely hardware? Either way- I'm not too worried bout it- This phone flies now and will even more when we get aosp ics.
It looks like you're running ziggys kernel, can i ask what governor?
Yes the app is accurate.. I've gotten close to 6,800 w/ ziggy's kernel with performance governor. But don't freak out just cause the gnex has a lower score.. Benches are for fun! My friends Gnex at stock speeds on the HD rom runs just as smooth.

haha she rants and raves about how she wants Siri and the only reason she got an iPhone was so she could go on Facebook (she's 20). I show her all the crap I can do with my Rezound and she's like wtf why can't my phone do that? I showed her the two Siri clones (Iris and Cluzee) and explained that they were free and basically any Android phone could get that and we've had text to speech and speech to text for years. What really started it was at the end of last month we were in NYC; we were stuffed way back in TGI Friday's and she was complaining that she couldn't get on Facebook, I mentioned the Samsung commercial where they make fun of the iPhone and then was like wait I can show you. I streamed the commercial at 720P and it loaded instantly, she loved that!
*bump*
updated first post
Read a few reviews running that benchmark saying its inaccurate because its not fully optimized for ICS as well
That's what I was thinking and I looked at their app in the market and it doesn't mention anything about ICS, but then again two phones running the same (major) version of ICS should give reasonable results.

HTC Aria Successor

Hello,
since the trend in smartphone development aims at huge screens and extreme processor speeds I was wondering if anybody heard about possible Aria successors, that would be handy phones with decent specs.
I would love to see a new Aria, with a dual-core processor, 1GB RAM, 16GB internal memory, a thinner bezel (like the Galaxy Nexus) but the same or just slightly bigger dimensions as the Aria.
Any rumors?
I fear that this is just wishful thinking, but one can still dream XD
Unfortunately, I've been hunting for this for about 6 months. No alpha products, previews, or reviews I could find...
Looks like you'll have to upgrade to something bulkier =(
Dang.
Well there is no rush for me to decide. I got rid of any kind of cellphone plans and buy my new phones when I can't stand the old ones anymore
With CM7 and some tweaking I can still love my Aria for a while.
The Samsung Galaxy Ace Plus would be ok if only it had more RAM and Android 4.0. Too bad...
Sony has some small phones that looks decent. But they still have the physical buttons
Like this
This is my new hobby, creating HTC Aria 2 fakes. If only I could print them out with a 3D printer...
Would you maybe like one with a front cam and two LEDs integrated into the classic speaker? Or a green one with trackball?
I loved my Aria. The weight was ideal but I had to have a bigger screen. It seems that the general trend nowadays it to get bigger and better. My example to this would be the Samsung Galaxy Note. The only carrier I know of that still has phones (new phones I might add) is SouthernLinc Wireless. Not to come off as advertisement but we just got a Motorola i867. 3.1" screen. Runs Eclair.
I really do wish that they would have an Aria 2. I agree with you. If they removed most of the bezel it would be a great phone. I still have mine even though I have since had a Captivate and now the Galaxy S II.
I am curious if some nice mid-range phones pop up at MWC next week.
Doubt there will be any successor to the Aria.

That may be true, but at least there's something close: http://pockethacks.com/the-htc-golf-a-fast-android-on-a-budget/.
The SE xperia ray looks decent, ableit maybe too small.
What about the upcoming Xperia Sola? It's about the same size with a dual-core processor.
http://www.gsmarena.com/sony_xperia_sola-4408.php
There's very little info on the Sola currently, but so far it's looking like my next phone.
Sony needs to trim off all that bezel.
Galaxy mini 2? Specs are still low but better than the aria for the moment

The HTC One V still hasn't picked a carrier but it will have a 3.7" screen and single 1ghz processor.
Personally interested in the 4.3" dual core One S.
this htc one v is not bad at all! looks good enough to replace this little aria
The Sony Xperia Mini (pro) devices both have diminutive 3-inch screens and pack a single-core 1GHz processor. They are interesting enough and quite inexpensive on Amazon.

I keep wondering...why can't there be a high-end phone with smaller dimensions. High-end does not necessarily mean it has to have a huge screen. Or at least mid-end haha. 1GHz is not too much to ask, and why not 1gb ram.

Confirmed- low ram on htc evo 4g lte

hello everyone, i am an independent amateur reviewer, and i am confirming low ram on the htc evo 4g lte, and this is confirmed due to sense 4.0 being over saturated and not optimized properly for a device with only 1 gig of ram. whoever has or is buying this device, be prepared to have stutters and the dreaded LAG....only option to help this is a custom launcher, which in theory, renders the sense 4.0 utterly useless. It's time HTC fixes this problem, start making phone calls peeps

Mr amatuer, could you please explain why sense 4.0 runs well on my phone and it also runs well on my EVO 3d with even less Ram, but it sucks on yours?

That's incorrect. Sense is more than just the Rosie launcher.
ram of evo 3d and evo lte are both 1 gb... there is a ram issue, trust me. with more ram is more smoothness and seemless operations, due to apps needing ram..

Btw what made you get the LTE after you said you wasn't? http://forum.xda-developers.com/showpost.php?p=25728556&postcount=63
LoL well, IDK why it runs perfectly fine on MY device but not on yours. IDK why ANYONE has any issues with much because I haven't had a SINGLE issue with mine at all LoL. Don't understand how installing an aftermarket launcher will render Sense useless either as posted above. Have had NO lag, haven't had any issues with launcher, lag, RAM issues or anything. Can sit safely at around 250MB free at most time and never below 200MB of free RAM. At least he admitted to being an ameteur reviewer. Couldbt agree more with Post 2.

I have been reading that it looks like a late summer release August just in time for back to school
so with a locked bootloader we will not be able to get root and install custom roms period, or its just harder to do?
also since Moto is now under Google, wouldnt that effect things? as in maybe they will release it with an unlocked bootloader? what was the first phone they release couple of days ago i think its the atrix something? does it have locked bootloader?

anyone here upgraded to HTC EVO 4G LTE ?

hi, I'm looking to upgrade my photon to HTC EVO 4G LTE
does anyone here own both of the phone ?
and can you give me some inputs ?
what I'm really want to know is :
-voice quality / earpiece sound quality (the photon is the very good if its not the best ear piece on a phone that i have ever owned before)
-battery life ( i use seidio extended battery on my photon, so i want o know what to expect from the non removable battery of HTC)
-radio reception strenght ? (again the Photon is one of the best in this department as well)
i want to upgrade because :
-im tired of waiting for the ICS on the photon
-and though the seideio battery is awesome , but the bulk is quite noticeable
-and the photon screen is terrible IMHO (can't hurt to change to 720p 4.7" screen NON PENTILE)
actually i also considered the Samsung galaxy SIII but i've never been a fan of samsung, and to me their build quality is not so good, and the material used is feel kind of cheap
and also i hate the touch wizzz i've always been a fan of SENSE but because the EVO 3D have bad radio reception, then i bought the Photon, which is an awesome phone.
anyway , can please somebody gimme some inputs ?
thank you so much.
Another option that might be worth considering is the rumored LG phone, it suppose to have a quad core krait with 2gb ram also with new Adreno 320 gpu and is coming to sprint. Though it also depends on how you feel about LG.
But it eats benchmarks for breakfast, it effectively destroys even tablets.

I have not paid much attention to sense as I generally prefer stock ICS. But they still have not ported sense to other devices yet?
anyonne else?
I upgraded from a photon and I was on the HTC EVO 4G LTE. Switched to the galaxy S 3. Photon is by far has the best reception. Battery was Ok on the Evo. U can get 2 - 2 1/2 hours screen on time with normal use which is pretty much the average. Reception sucked and the gps was horrible. Sense was good but to be honest, kinda gets old like any launcher
The s3 is by far the better of the 2 in my opinion. Screen is not as crisp but I can get 4 hours + screen on time. Multi tasking works great and gps locks in less than 2 seconds and doesn't lose lock. Yes I'm referring to a Samsung phone with good gps lol. Best gps I've ever used on a phone.
Very worthy upgrade to the photon.
And touchwiz is polished unlike before. I actually like it better than sense. But it's all personal preference.
