Keep WiFi on during sleep (Never) - Asus Eee Pad Transformer Prime

Does anyone else have an issue with the WiFi sleep policy? My WiFi never turns off when my tablet is in sleep mode. I set it to 'never', turn off the screen and no matter how long I wait, it is still connected to WiFi while the screen is off (which destroys the battery now). I have been turning it off manually and putting it into low performance mode every time I turn off the screen, but would like this to be automatic. Any suggestions?
Edit: wrong section, sorry. MOD please delete this! I am posting it in General.

[Q] No notifications when screen asleep and WiFi disappears

I got a new gTab from Woot. I flashed CM7 onto it with the latest files on the wiki. Everything looks good except that I get no notifications when the sleep is turned off. That is a bit annoying. Also, sometimes the wifi disappears. I need to toggle the wifi button in the notification bar to get it back. I have seen many people complain about it but I don't see a clear solution. Can someone give a noob guide to fixing this if there is a solution?
EDIT: I pinged the tablet with the screen off and could not do so. I could ping it when the screen was on. the screen turning off was disabling my wifi. Can some1 tell me how to fix this? Please?
First thing to check is your wifi sleep policy. You can find this under the wifi setting menu. Hit the menu button again for Advanced setting. Under the wifi sleep policy set it to never.
Cheers
Forgot to mention that it was set to Never. The issue still happens.
I got it to work finally! I had to update to pershoot's 2.6.32.39 kernel. 40 does not work.

Help Archos won't go to sleep

For some reason I can't get my archos to stay asleep. after 8 seconds of sleep it wakes itself up, thus rendering itself useless as the batter dies in a matter of hours. any ideas? I've already factory reset with no effect, so it really can't be any software installed.
Do you have enabled deep sleep?
(Settings)
perhaps I was not clear it will not do any kind of sleep. no matter what I enable deep sleep disable deep sleep, what ever power setting I set the device automatically turns on after about 8 seconds. picture this, the device sitting on the desk the screen turns on, a minute passes the screen turns off, 8 seconds pass the screen turns on, repeat until battery is dead.
I don't have my Archos right now, but I would install adb on the PC, and do:
adb logcat
Then put device to sleep, wait for it to wake up, and try to figure out from the messages what app turned it back on.
You could also try looking in System Monitor at the Wake Locks tab, and see if there's anything scheduling wakeups.
(If it wasn't sleeping in the first place, I'd say check your USB host port & see if it died.)

[ANDROID] WiFi not going to sleeping.

Hey guys I'm using CM7 Alpha 2.
I notice that the wifi doesn't go to sleep 15min after the screen is off.
I checked the policy and it is set to Sleep "when screen is turned off"
There is no difference if I set to "Never while charging"
I even reinstalled the ROM from scratch and still the same problem.
Any suggestions?
it will probably get fixed sooner or later(this is a alpha thats before a beta )

Is yours not turning off(sleep) the WIFI off either?
I think with alpha 2 wifi is on all the time, regardless of the sleep setting. This was probably done to help with the SOD issue until they find a better solution.
as a temporal workaround, I used tasker to:
turn off the wifi 10 minutes after the screen is off.
while screen is off, wake up wifi every 30 min to check emails for 1 minute.
turn on wifi if i wake up the touchpad.

[Q] phone not powering down completely

have you guys noticed that when you power down the phone it does shut off but not completely. the reason i think that its not fully shut down is because the phone boots back up within seconds of powering on....also the up time and awake time have not been reset back to 0. this actually is the only way my phone goes to sleep. any other time when i just turn the screen off my phone won't really sleep (wake lock)..ive noticed this with the blackend rom and also infected rom...the way i found to fix the wake lock issue is to do a factory reset which fixes the problem until i have to charge the the phone which everyone knows that the phone won't sleep while charging. so have you guys experienced this? and also do you know whats causing the wake lock? ive searched the forums and cant find anything...thanks!!
Fastboot, in the power menu, turn it off.
ok turned off fastboot and this fixed the up time and awake time not resetting...still having the wake lock issue tho...any other ideas to fix this?

When you reboot your phone, it does not turn completely off because you are rebooting the phone. It is a feature added by htc to speed up reboot speeds. When you reboot, it kills all apps and processes, goes to sleep, and boots up.
Turn fastboot off (menu>settings>power>fastboot) if you want it to turn completely off while rebooting.
To make the phone sleep while charging, go to
menu>settings>applications>development and uncheck "stay awake"
went to my setting and the stay awake while charging was unchecked already...actually i dont mind having wake lock while charging...just the wake lock with normal use...thx tho

[Q] SOD Sleep Of Death

Basically I can leave my phone sitting with the screen off for awhile plugged in and eventually the phone acts as if it has been shut off. I think it is in deep sleep mode and it seems to do this quite often when it is on the charger. Is there a fix for this? I have read about this elsewhere but couldn't seem to find if someone knows how to get it fixed. And this is for my Optimus V with the default 2.2.1 android on it.
I have this problem too and it's very anoying. When I have an alarm turned on and sometimes the phone enters this SOD the alarm does not ring and when I pusn one of the buttons the lockscreen shows the hour the phone entered this deep sleep mode and after a second it refreshes with the current time.
Well my phone doesn't respond when I press any buttons or even touch the screen. Basically it would seem as if it is off because I think it went into deep sleep mode. There should be a option to turn deep sleep off but I have no clue how to do it. That is why I posted the question here.
