I think it's been confirmed that all Notes are the same dimensions.
I bought this today. It looks the most similar to the Samsung one.

I don't see why you would have a problem with either of them. The only accessory that you could run into problem with is the flip covers that replace the back due to the NFC antenna connectors (although the NFC is disabled on the AT&T version so they don't really do much right now).

Here's the same dock as the one you have linked. $6 cheaper.

All accessories can be used with AT&T Note except
- Screen protector (no home button on AT&T Note)
- Back cover (AT&T Note has NFC antenna in the back cover)

Yes, but not all of them though. He was asking about accessories designed for N7000 Note. The original Samsung flip case doesn't have NFC, and we're still waiting to see if samsung flip case from bestbuy preorder will have one or not. Anymode flip case has NFC.

very good assessment of the situation. it has been confirmed by Engadget and others the dimensions between AT&T and international versions are identical.
The only only visual difference is the home button.
All other differences are internal and weight: international Note is 178g while AT&T version is 182.6g

Is there a different model number to know which one has the back? I believe they are both N7000, but is there a separate designation?

Yup, I got a boxwave tpu case for my N7000 a few weeks ago, tried it on my AT&T Note, fits perfectly, all of the mic cutouts, etc are the same

Great to know. Thank you!

Since there isn't any use for nfc at the moment, would it hurt anything to use a different back cover?

Accessories for GS2 AT&T

This is just a placeholder!
here is the official desktop dock from samsung for the SGH-i777
http://www.samsung.com/us/mobile/cell-phones-accessories/ECR-D1D3BEGSTA
is this what you'd use if you just want alarm clock on nightstand? or is there a smaller dock that will be available?
Can the official dock be used to connect it to a TV? Or, is there another dock that allows you to connect to a TV?
Wondering if there will be a Body Glove case like they have for my Captivate. Very nice all purpose case, not too bulky with good protection

I absolutely loved my Body Glove hard shell on my Captivate. It was the very best. I got a Ballistics for my SGII - its better than I even expected it to be and I can be very picky.

i really want that dock though... no generics on ebay yet... but curious if international one would work... since the port is in the same location...

International only
I actually picked up the first case, in the link to the other forum. It is the AGF Soft Shell with the leather insert. I didn't really like it but it was better than the others and much thinner. I didn't want to risk damaging the phone without a case. I actually like it much better on the phone than in the package. It is a very very tight fit. There are also two holes at the top so I think this case is universal for the international and AT&T versions of the SGS II.
Honestly, once it is installed it feels like it is part of the phone not an added on case. The lip on the display is absolutely minimal. It actually requires a little massaging to completely cover the outer edge. Once in place, it doesn't budge.
I may still return it if I find something better though.

They ship from PA, USA.
I wasn't going to get one based on all the mixed reviews and I wanted a "proper" case with multi-view angles, but for now I guess this will do at this price. At least it's not $45+

This is by far the cheapest I have found as well.

Hi there! I bought this case for someone else (gift), and I'm not sure if it fits the tablet well (I don't have the tab with me). Are you able to lock the front cover in place? Or is it basically just a flap? If you can post a pic that would be great! Thanks!

Search Youtube for a clip titled "Samsung Galaxy Tab 7.7 Original Sleeve and Screenprotector Review." (3:03 long) It shows the case in action. (Sorry I can't post links yet cause I'm such a noob.) From that video it doesn't look like the cover locks closed. It does look pretty damn sleak though. I've alread ordered one off eBay.

I thought the Samsung bookcase cover for the OG 7" did this a little better. The corners of that one protruded out past the screen just enough for the cover flap to nestle in. The 7.7 cover doesn't flop around like some iPad covers I've seen, but it's not as snug as the Samsung 7".
Anyway, I think 7.7 looks great and performs adequately and is good to have even if it's $20 too much.

I ordered mine from Cellguru yesterday for the $31.XX. Must have gotten the last one
A bit out if the subject but i think the following would be a better case than the samsung one. For starters it opens from right to left, as it shoukd, and the cover does not flap open as it has small magnets so it stays closed at all times. It also has easy access to power and vol up/down buttons, ear phone jack, mic, charging slot and speakers as well as the sim and sd slot. There would be no need to removed tad to access anything. The seller will also ship a combo stylus/pen, the stylus has a rubber end and it works flawlesly on the tab. I ordered mine about 2 weeks ago and received it yesterday, it came all the way from china. I originally payed 19.99 but the seller has then raised it 29.99, i guess due to the popularity of the tab. I still think its a very good deal for a very good case.

Are you sure, because OEM stands for "Original Equipment Manufacturer" and since Samsung is the manufacturer (i.e OEM) of both the 7.7 Tab and the 7.7 Book Cover Case, the Case could be considered both the "Original" case as well as being the "OEM" case

I think cases like this where you have slide the tablet in really hide the asthetic beauty and slimness of this devise. They also make it look thicker. The Samsung case is very thin. The tablet snaps in securely and allows you to see how thin the tab is. It doesn't mattervwhich wasy it opens. I can access all ports without taking it ot of the case. Obviously it all comes down to personal preference but I have seen no cases that come close to the Samsung.

that doesnt help at all...it's a regular cover, without any kickstand. And it's black too, which would create color mismatch with AT&T Note, available only in carbon blue or ceramic white.

"No" to the 2nd link. I'm not looking for any cases, gel or otherwise, just back cover for the battery, which is part of the phone. Like HTC Evo 4G has
"Almost" to the 1st link. 2 flaws with that one (besides the white color)
1. Like the next poster after you mentioned Mugen Power battery covery is for international N7000 and doesnt have NFC antenna - i dont want to lose NFC capabilities
2. That is extended cover for extended battery, which makes the phone much thicker and bulkier.
I'm looking for a cover with kickstand for stock size battery, which fully supports AT&T SGH-i717 device, meaning it has to have NFC antenna built into it.

Any cases that aren't front faced specific work on any current Note. Difference with the Korean sourced is that they have that corner exposed.

I'll know in a few weeks..
The GT-N7000 aka International Note and the SGH-I717 aka North American Note, both have the same dimensions.
The only physical difference is the home button on the GT-N7000, which is why any case made for either that also included something to do with that button area would make either incompatible with the other.
Cases that cover the back and sides/edges would be compatible with any current Note. At least that has been my experience so far. YMMV
Here is a side by side compare of each model available on pdadb.net;

Battery Door Replacement?

Does the non-branded International Note 2 battery door fit the Verizon version? If so, I'll be replacing that and putting a sticker over that hideous branding on the home button the first day I get my phone.
PS: FU Verizon
Well, if your planning on buying a cover for it I wouldn't sweat the backplate as it will be covered anyway.
That being said, as far as the button goes, I personally don't even notice it, however I did see that Spigen had started selling aluminum button covers. I actually started considering them.

You can always try going to a T-Mo or ATT store and trying their backs on the device if they allow it.
Go to Sprint and ask for a battery door, it's unbranded, att has that globe thing on the back.

Sorry, I can't post link because I'm new. LOL
On E-bay, please search for "OEM SAMSUNG GALAXY NOTE 2 II GT-N7100 TITANIUM GRAY BATTERY BACK DOOR CASE COVER"
or
GENUINE OEM SAMSUNG GALAXY NOTE II 2 GT-N7100 WHITE BATTERY BACK DOOR COVER CASE for white.
Ebay seller name is 'shimshop' He ships out directly from Korea. Hope this helps
Not sure if you are interested in it, but I bought the Samsung "official" flipcover that replaces the battery cover with a new one that is attached to the flip cover and the only thing it says on the back cover is Samsung and I bought this flip cover from Verizon.

There's brushed metal battery doors also, but I think I'll be getting the official flip cover.
I'm ecstatic that the Note 2 isn't differentiated on all carriers like a lot of phones are nowadays.
I might buy that Korean one just because it's simple.
Ok I ordered one! Anybody wanna buy an s3? Lol

Anyone know where to get a black plastic/brushed metal style battery cover (not flip case) preferably with NFC? Was thinking I'd like to get the Otterbox Defender, mod the original grey case to have it fit the Hyperion Extended battery in there, then switch it out with one in black in case using the regular batter I find it's too bulky for painting and drawing.
I would like to buy a sprint back cover in titanium Grey but ebay has so many fakes its horrible. They have decent fakes but I want the real Samsung one

Order it directly from Samsung. They have them for all carriers in America. Samsung mobile. You can google the rest.
Whoever dropped the info about the unbranded sprint covers -- thank you!! I'm going in next week. Verizon branding is hideous.
Has anyone attempted surgery on a flip cover yet?
