I use this ROM ... FreeX10 Gingerbread 2.3.3 ROM and I don't know how to do this.
Also I want when somebody call me to ring me a video or mp4 something.

Ok so get some file explorer then go to your sd card make a folder named media then in it make a another folder named audio and in it a new folder named ringtone.Copy the file you want as ringtone to that folder and you should be able to select it in the ringtone menu in settings.
EDIT: Pardon its ringtones
you might as well set it through your music player like PlayerPro and etc.

hey...i just wanna ask if anyone could give me the name or the apk of this music player...on more thing..i copied the apk file from gingercruztfiles but it gives me application not installed...i tried it on a ginger rom and on froyobread so i don't think it's a capability problem..any thoughts??

Search for MIUI music player and you could find,also dont try to install it normally,move it to the folder system/app and give the permissions:

I recently installed ICS2 but I miss the notification tones and ringtones of the stock rom, I assigned them to each app and I'm used to it.
Can I get them anywhere ??

downloaded a stock rom , unzip the archive, look for the file system / media

i had uncompressed stock images so uploaded media for you
place this in /media

delete them and try to flash this as it seems while copying it from sd card you will have to change permissions of those files to rw-r--r-- to work
if this flashable do not work then you have to change it manually

I haven't tried it on GingerDX I must say, and I don't know what base they use, but on another rom i just copied the contacts.apk and contactsprovider.apk from MiniCM7, and with those, it worked nicely
Hey guys im after a ringtone maker which is compatible with JB.. seems all the ringtone makers on the market at the moment only read songs from SDCARD & not the extSD..
Currently on Paranoid ROM (V. Latest) using a 64GB fat32 card...
If anyone has any recommendations for any apps etc. please post !
Just create a folder "MEDIA" and inside create another folder "RINGTONES"(sdcard>>media>>ringtones) on your external sd card. You can put any mp3 and they will appear in your phone ringtones list. You can create ANY ringtones you want from any audio editing software(many of them are free).

Use ringdroid. I am using it and it is reading everysingle file on my phone including internal and external card...

Doesn't seem to be doing the same for me.. im thinking there must be an issue with the mount points of external card.

I am using Omega V27
Does anyone have the default Samsung music player APK or .zip file to flash on custom ROM's. I find the default one only plays .wma files while the normal play store ones dont! All my music is in the .wma format and converting 25Gigs of .wma format to MP3 is not possible exactly!
