If not, i think will need to dig in deep to take out the codes.

Ermmm.. Not so sure where is the problem because i dont know what changes you do for the mod and what method you use. But, do you install and use it yourself as well? Just asking..
How about the others? Can you all install and use it? Is it just my system that having problems?

Well, it is not a first time i install something like these and i did some modding myself too, but, here is what i did;
- Install via cwm (no wipe done) --: it stuck at bootanimation and after a while, it restarted. At first, i just leave it, and what happened is just the same. So,
- I copy over files from your zip (all except that .db file which is leftover from your pc i suppose) to /system/, set the permission to all files, then copy to correct folder (framework.jar, android.policy.jar etc to /system/framework/ and systemUI and whatnot to /system/app/ ) man, cant believe i type it all, im very sure it has nothing to do with how i install it. Sorry if you feels offended, but its pretty damn straight forward, install from cwm. I use manual method just to be sure. And it stuck at bootanimation. No matter how i install it.

I have tried to install it with rooted stock 2.1. It says: "Application not installed"
How could it be the xRecovery with 425 kb while Xrecovery.tar file at least 1.6 Mb?
---- the file previous is not working, so a new apk file is updated ----
Yap, it's working.. I already tested myself
Update: It was working, but i reboot my phone and it bricks.. I can acess to xrecovery anyway, don't know how.. xD

Anyway, good work, but i won't test it with this comments for bricks... I prefer old school.
Yes it sure is hard to move 3 files with root explorer
maybe not but i can't get xrecovery to work by moving
3 files to /system/bin (if this works) this installer is welcome
but i will wait before i try it out, I don't want to brick the phone a second time

I'd still install busybox from the market first, just to be on a safe side. That's what you normally do with xRecovery installation, and this seems to be only an automatisation of this process.
Still, good work, both thumbs up for the author!

Update 16/08/14 [JB]Custom bootanimations for S Advance

HI there, I give to you a custom bootanimation for S Advance. At the time of making this thread, there were no kernels support it but there is an app that will make it possible. You can also install a cocafe kernel now that supports custom bootanimation.zips
Here is the thread
Bootanimation4u thanks to XDA developer smokin133. A
And thanks to Abhinandh Ajay for finding this app for without it I wouldn't be able to share the bootanimation
Install that first from recovery and reboot then copy the bootanimation.zip (see attached) to your system/media with your favorite explorer that access the root partition. This isn't a flashable zip.
Here are a couple screenshots of the animation:

As always I am not responsible for any damage to phone by doing this. Always have a Nandroid backup saved.
View attachment bootanimation.zip
Updates Here are a couple of flashable zips with a better version of the bootanimation imho. They both are in qmg format. Probably only will work in stock firmware but if anyone tries it in CM or KitKat roms report if it works or not. I installed it with TWRP but should install with CWM. Just make sure to mount system before installing. As always you want to back up your originals in case you want to go back to them.
View attachment bootanimation_flashable.zip
Here is a flashable zip that says Galaxy SII Lite instead. Also qmg format.
View attachment cwm_twrp_SIIlitebootani.zip
hope you like

you can also download it with that root boot animation app....:good:
Whats the use of the app? Can't I just open bootanimation.zip and put all the files in the corresponding folder??
I'm asking this because I want to add this "feature" to my ROM

Hello, i'm new with all this flashing and rooting, so sorry if i'm a bit noob.
So I created a flashable zip using percy_g2's tutorial for my Xgo and did as said for the flashing. All went well and I thanks you and him a lot.
He said that for the theme manager the fc won't appear after a reboot but for me the theme manager is always fc'ing and I can't pick pictures from the album for my wallpaper.
More precisely the select window appears but it stay black and when I touch on the screen it select a picture. So I can pick pictures for my wallpaper but can't choose them as the select screen is black.
If you know a way to fix this I will be very glad.
Anyways big thanks for this rooting tutorial.

You must in ICS first, then root it(ICS), then install CWM(still in ICS), and install JB.ZIP just like in OP

I have the stock 4.2.1 ROM installed which I flashed using SP Tools. I haven't deodexed the ROM (I didn't even know what it meant before I googled it.)
So, do I have to deodex the ROM before I can use this MOD ? Sorry, if this is a stupid question (since you mentioned that this app is for deodexed ROMS).
Also, if have to deodex, is it possible to deodex only a certain library that is required by the MOD? I am asking because I guessed that deodexing would slow the system.
Thank you.

no you cant..
you have to deodex the whole app and framework ..
well you can try it on your ROM I cant say It will work on that but I'll try to make this work.....
Note: If it didn't worked you have to flash the whole system again, with data
PS: deodexing doesn't slow down the device
Where is the file?

Well, I tried the sms app. Doesn't work on odex rom. I even converted the deodexed apk from the flashable zip to apk + odex using a script posted here http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1879128 . That too didn't work.
Tomorrow, I am going to try and mod the Mms.apk from the stock rom (odex). I'm thinking of deodexing the apk, decompiling it, modding, recompiling and then again creating apk+odex. I have got no experience in modding. That should work right?

Can u plz make the transparent status bar available for odxed 4.2.1JB ROM.. plz

[MOD] xperia u jb (A.1.100) transparent statusbar (80%) now with advanced power menu

here what u gotta do (recomended -method 1)
Download :http://www.mediafire.com/download/4vtb5ibf75cd7hk/xperia_u_jb_dr.sushant.zip
Download Link 2: https://docs.google.com/file/d/0B_0SEXrGJzpEYVlqZzl1cUc4bGs/edit?usp=sharing
Method 1
Cwm flash zip : http://www.mediafire.com/download/bgr9h1s6t5sxugh/xpU_jb_transparent_statusbar.zip
With Advanced Power Menu: http://www.mediafire.com/download/gq646v4ddmh2d96/xpU jb APM+Trans Status.zip
step1:download the attached file extract the file SystemUI.apk (from "app" folder) and android.policy.jar (from "framework" folder)
step 2: replace the SystemUI.apk (system\app) and android.policy.jar (system\framework) in their specifc folders and then flash the rom
Or
Method 2
download the cwm flash zip and put in ur sdcard reboot to recovery
mount system
flash the zip from sd card and reboot to system. and u r done.
enjoy
note/warning: do not try to replace the android.policy.jar manually by using any file explorer (es file explorer or any other.) else u will landup with bootloop and then u will curse me. u can only replace SystemUI.apk by a file explorer.
hit thanx if u like it
