Instructions for old method
Well you know just extract everything and put the build folder (the one with all the files in, for example ics, jelly) in the root of your sd card. If WM6.5 tap on clrcad (nothing appears to happen) then haret, if magldr navigate to build folder using ad-sd dir and select build folder name then boot AD SD.
Please remember to REBOOT X 3.
Magldr users can get different sized blank data.ext4 from here http://forum.xda-developers.com/show...postcount=1353 edit; may get boot loops, please test. Magldr default=512Mb if you leave empty. edit2 here is blank 256mb one http://www.mediafire.com/?ey40c1wti77ni2w
Latest Kernels can be found here http://forum.xda-developers.com/show...88&postcount=4 but default runs well. Remember to back up before changing kernels (system.ext4 and data.ext4 just in case)

Note that first boot will take about 10 mins (depending on size of data.ext4 created) and will end with the phone rebooting. Second boot will take less time and will show the boot animation (as opposed to portadroid screen in first boot). You are porting this build, it is so that some apps are put in data.ext4 file. remember to reboot x3. Note that ICS folder is renamed CM10V12 and startup.txt has been edited.
After second boot, you can safely delete root_tmp folder to save disk space

For Softkey Go to Control Application in Utilities->Interfance Setup->Enable On-Screenkey then Reboot

Many thanks for this. Had always been a MIUI fan. Hope this can wean me back from WP7.
BTW, am not able to apply themes. Can download, and it shows that it is applying the theme. But nothing changes. Any idea?

VPN support in kernel itself is broken. so till the time we do not get it correct vpn will not work.

Pour Touche Aller à la commande d'application dans Utilities-> Interfance Setup-> Activer l'Screenkey puis redémarrez
Data still not working for me on 4a. I get the symbols H,G & 3G but no actual data. Tried various settings, apn, monitor etc. Tried old data.ext4 first then 2x fresh installs with 3x reboots each.
Can't think why it wont work.

Hi,
I've just tried this build, I appreciate it and it works where some others fail (scanning qrcode for example). Unfortunately camcorder and panomara hang the phone, I've to remove the battery). It this could be fixed, it would be great !

Default data size: 512 Mb
Default ICS folder: /cm9/

Recomened: After 1st boot, reboot your device 3x times
Recomened2: Clean install
Tips: You can change data size and ICS folder in startup.txt

It seems a shame that the ROM updates from goomanager can't be loaded directly by the SD user with some type of recovery script. It would make your job a lot easier in the long run

You can try other Kernels, like tytung_r2.4_HWA or Doimanx_6.9_HWA
For me (Haret) WiFi working fine. wis1152 and Robbie P also have good tests WiFi (MAGLDR)

This rom strives to drop your device into tablet mode, but it won't stop there, it will reshape and redefine ICS to make it all a usefull addition and not just a cute novelty. i'm calling it: Hybrid Mode, best of both worlds.
You're asking yourself how exactly does this rom differ from "tablet mode roms" then, here's a quick status report:
•Tablet mode shrinks your apps into a tiny mush, this rom features a setting called Per-App-Density. You can define an apps native DPI with it, make it look stock, smaller or bigger than that, your decision. All apps are depicted at DPI 182 per standard. No other rom has that feature right now
•It has a working Market. Google Play does not allow density changes and will stop working if you mess around with that. This rom fixes that problem for you 100%.
•More stuff: Recents window closer to stock, fixes for overlapping elements, framework fixes, no crashes, working Phone (looks 100% like stock aswell), etc.

Changed it's DPI to 280 but it still not correct.

Create root folder inside Droid folder,now copy meta-inf and system folders inside root folder,reboot

Probably the best so far! Very fast and nice. My only grumble is VPN! Even with tytung_HWA_r2.3uM booting from Magldr, the VPN does not work. I guess that Tytungs VPN fix was not in the Kernal. Otherwise this would already be my daily ROM! Then again, not many use VPN so for most this must be a big event!

As we all know Pureness Build 7 by ThilinaC was one of the best roms ever made for Neo V. So i decided to continue the legacy of Build 7 and also get the features of Build 10 and a few other tweaks into this rom. Hence Xperia Pureness v7.1 (The legacy continues ) ...
This rom has been purely designed for the Suave Kernel fans. If you love the looks of build 10 and want to be on the suave kernel then you can flash this rom !
A few people were asking me if this rom can work on locked bootloaders ?? Well i too don't know if it can work on a locked bootloader because i am using an Unlocked Neo V :silly:. But may be ThilinaC can throw some light on this issue as he was the one who developed it. May be if a few other dev's among u can test it. It would be very helpful.

I only upload rom which has been tested extensively and has less or no errors ! A request to all the dev's who will be using this Mod - Guys can you please post your valuable comments and suggestions here and also guide me on how i can improvise the rom. I have all the time in the world since my college starts by Sept 2012 so may be you can expect v7.2 out before sept. So start suggesting new features that could be included in this rom. I don't promise but i would try my best to add as many good features as possible and make the v7.2 even more better.

How to install the rom
This one must be the most easiest part. So once again no more patches :silly: !!! One complete rom. All you need to do is just follow the steps below :
Click on the "Download" option below in the download section and get the rom
Next save it on your SD card and reboot the phone to CWM
Once in CWM just wipe factory data and cache and then flash the rom
Reboot and complete the setup wizard
>Now you ll see that by default the on-screen buttons are set to (Back, Home, Recent just like in Build 7 and Build 8) But if you want the on-screen buttons like in build 10 then follow the steps below :
Download "Rom toolbox lite" from play store.
Download "systemUI" from the download section below.
Copy and paste the systemUI.apk to system/app using rom toolbox lite's root browser
change the permission's to rw-r-r
Once that is done just reboot the phone and enjoy the On-screen buttons like Build 10

just one question how much RAM is used when system starts up .....
because with ver 10 it shows 170 i think ... then after installing 2-3 apps its get up to 220 mb .....
So is the RAM problem solved or not ????

Hey man!! Nice work is everything working properly on this Rom... I mean wifi tethering had some issues in ics... Is it resolved?? Or it's still prevailing???
One more question.. Is it necessary to first flash stock ics then ics Rom... Or I can simply do all that stuff on gb as well??

Contact thilina .. i did some testes on Neo V regarding ram leak dude...
and we hv almost foubnd out the reasons for the high ram consumption..and most probably..nxt build 11 wud b as stable as stock and as fast as gb..

Yea bro sure ... actually this is just the initial test release ... i had modded it for my own use and then decided to share with the community .. plus am a noob to and have recently started learning how to tweak roms :silly: ...

About MIUI
MIUI is a custom ROM created by the Chinese Xiaomi company. During the Gingerbread days, it was famous for it’s customizability and user friendliness. The ICS based MIUI V4 continued all these pros with the underlying new features of Android 4.0 and and a revamped modern MIUI-UI.

MIUI V4.1 Jelly Bean has a very similar UI compared to MIUI V4 ICS, but project Butter results in a huge improvement in the smoothness of the UI, the eyecatching MIUI interface benefits greatly from this.
Should I use MIUI ICS or Jelly Bean?
I’m not saying that MIUI Jelly Bean is the best MIUI ROM for the Xperia neo (V). The ROM is not as stable as the stock based MIUI ICS, and there are some bugs that will never be fixed, like HDMI not working.
You should try MIUI Jelly Bean if you are getting annoyed by lag on ICS or want the latest Android version available for the Neo (V) with all it’s new features.
I recommend only trying this ROM if you have some experience with Flashtool, flashing custom ROMs in recovery and flashing kernels.

Before you start
Make sure your bootloader is unlocked and you're on any ICS or JB ROM.
How to install
Installation procedure (new user): Wipe everything (data, cache, dalvik, system). (not for CM10 ROM), flash kernel, flash ROM
If you still don't know what to do, I don't recommend trying this ROM, 24/7 techsupport is not included.
Installation procedure (updates): Flash zip in recovery, no wipes need. When having issues, try wipe cache, dalvik.
FXP kernel for the relevant FXP source version is recommended.

I am using FXP138 kernel and patch for neo V you provided. Everything seems fine. MIUI camera doesn't work but the other camera (there are two camera icons) is working. Great work. :good:

The notification LED doesn't work and there is no option for enable it.

MX player works fine for me. Testing YouTube now.

Important notice from Xiaomi
As more and more themes become developed for MIUI, we need to further ensure the copyrights of the designers
to continue an environment conducive to both MIUI and the designers.
Furthermore, as we are working on a platform to allow international designers to get paid for their theme designs,
this new policy will help to protect the designer's design and instigate more quality themes.
To do so, MIUI has decided to change some of the theme policies.
Please note, as of May 1st, the following policy will be fully enforced:
All MIUI themes and theme components, in mtz file format,
will need to be uploaded onto the MIUI themes (upload via designer.xiaomi.com).
Any MIUI theme and theme components (i.e. download from forums, websites or other sources)
that does not get uploaded into the MIUI theme apk, can no longer be applied onto the MIUI ROM.
To specify, components in an mtz file format can include:

ROM INSTALLATION
1. copy ROM to sdcard
2. fastboot your kernel from the recommended list above
3. boot into cwm recovery, if coming from a different ROM wipe/factory reset [if upgrading Miui goto step 4.]
4. flash ROM [if upgrading Miui no need to wipe dalvik-cache - all data, settings and apps will be saved]
5. reboot and enjoy

For APPS between 250MB and 290MB free RAM
General working RAM memory 180MB FREE (if you remove the old MiuiHome APK)

Once MiuiV5 is released and I port it to our Ray we could see the extra OSB
At the moment its a feature of the Jelly Bean ROM on MiuiV5 only
This is amazing rom, so beautifull and fast like hell)
It has everything I ever wanted from rom.

backup your current ROM with CWM and try this one
You wont be disappointed
You can always go back and or just install DATA from the backup advanced restore feature of CWM

my memory card only left about 200 MB and it not enough to make backup..
Radeon Kernel link is for MDPI devices, is it applicable to ray? what about CTCaer kernel, will it work?

Wouldn't recommend trying it - I tried that kernel yesterday and it couldn't be any more incompatible with a HDPI Ray.
I'm having problems installing large apps like google maps.... I'm now buggering about linking the /cache/download to a folder on my sdcard... if that doesn't do it I'm back to superleggera...
Hi NeilDownx, are you sure you've left the MIUI default bootanimation intact? I've made sure to choose it in the 'themes' section and it always runs that really boring bluish 'android' text bootanimation. Definitely NOT the default bootanimation in my previous MIUI ROM.
Also, every single time I wipe the dalvik cache (e.g. flashing a zip or whatever) the phone's themes, icons etc have to be reset. Should that be happening?

The Miui bootanimation was removed to save on space
For themes to work properly and without errors you need not just an xiaomi account with an internet connection
But you need an xiaomi account that has been activated properly and registered to your mobile

Anyone interested in getting the MIUI Weather widget working and restoring the original MIUI default bootanimation?
There are 3 apk files in zip that I was using with MIUI v3.2.8 - just install 'weather' apk (DO NOT accept any app update) and move the other 2 apks to system/app - setting the permissions correctly (see pic attached). Restart your phone and the weather widget should be working perfectly
NOTE: It's important that you don't update the 'weather' app or it'll stop working. Open the app and open the settings - then choose 'update settings' and then disable 'application update'.
Re. restoring the bootanimation, just replace the bootanimation zip in the system/media folder with the bootanimation zip attached - again, resetting the permissions as per the pic attached.
The above worked perfectly for me so I assume it'll work for you guys. Let me know how you get on!

Considering how memory-hungry both MIUI and Sony stock ROM are, I find that hard to believe. Is that after a reboot, or after 1-2 days of usage? How did you achieve so much free RAM?
