Hi, my sister just bought an SGS II but found out some weird problem in Market. Ok here's the question, my sis and few of her friends also using SGS II, but when they searched for same app in Market, only my sis's Market is missing some apps while all her friends can see/download the apps. Even when i use my Vibrant to searched for the missing app in my Market, i have the apps but my sis doesnt. So did anybody came across the same problem? And why is that happening? She did a factory reset but getting the same result.

if you are rooted use market enabler and select either a different country or a different provider. it should show up the missing apps.
Nope the phone haven't yet, cos she say still under warranty. May i know why is her Market have this kind of problem? Thanks

no it is not a problem, is a feature. it depends on the provider and the place you live.
i did not ask, what is your firmware version?
maybe an update without rooting, although unrooting is easy.

I just bought myself a Samsung Galaxy S2, coming from iphone4.
I am in a country where I get access to a limited Android Market. I dont have access to apps like:
Crackle
Tapatalk
Skype
Android Streamer
Can someone pls guide me how I could access the US android market?
In the iphone, I was able to make a US account using a US credit card and could access apps from US store.

crackle just like hulu can only be used in the US

I am aware of the obvious buddy.
But the reason I put in the question in here is cuz you guys eat the obvious for breakfast! . I get am using hulu by going thru a US vpn. I was hoping there may be a way to use slacker or crackle that way.
Tried it thru the vpn but couldnt get it to work.
What about the "Just In"? any solution for that. Its been crashing even before I rooted it.

Hi, I am based in HongKong. I received a Prime purchased in US 3 days ago, already updated to ICS pre purchase and with latest market version. However I have been facing couple of serious issues :
1. While I can see all the paid apps while browsing the market but if i try to purchase anything, it given me "error: item you are trying to purchase cannot be found". I tried purchasing same app from my HTC DHD (rooted w Android Revolution ROM) and did not face any problem! HongKong does have paid app availability so I dont think root should be necessary unless ICS changed that?
2. The search in the market seems horribly broken. I dont even get Skype to show up if i search for it. I had to google and follow the link to market to download it..
Any suggestions? Do I need to reinstall ICS? I have already tried doing a factory reset but it dint help..

hehe.. well thnks for trying! i wud have actually thought something like that too but given it works all fine on phones.. had to eliminate that option.
good news.. think the problem got solved for me after I did a hard reboot. Hold the power button down+VolDown button during startup till it takes you to the Wipe Data screen. After wiping data when it restarted I DID NOT ENTER MY GMAIL ID. (i dont know if that made the difference but thought will mention it). I skipped the gmail entry at startup and went straight to the market and entered gmail id there when asked. Could start to purchase apps fine now
Hope it helps anyone else facing the issue.
PS: I did a reinstall of ICS prior to trying the hard reboot.. but just reinstall alone did not help.

I don't see the 'More Services' app that's referenced all the time with the GS3 on my stock AT&T GS3. I'm guessing AT&T excluded it but is there a way to sideload it? Is it worth doing?

Is it an app or a section in settings? I don't have it in either. I know things like "display modes" and LTE toggle are missing from the ATT version.

I'm having the same issue. I have a US Cellular SCH-R530U S3, and the Samsung App wasn't loaded. I found it off the Samsung site, but it says because of my phone or my country, I have limited functions, basically it only does updates. Going to the Samsung App website, it says you have to install the apps from your phone or use Kies. Only problem there is Kies says my phone isn't supported by Kies v.2. This is really getting annoying. I hope someone can help us out here soon...

I installed Samsung Apps from the website and it updated fine. Signed in with Samsung account and it seems to work fine. Not really seeing any apps in there that I want but at least it's on the phone now.

When I launch the app on my phone, all it says is No Updates. I do have my Samsung account on the phone but the app never asked me to sign in. I agreed to everything, and I just get the No Updates. The only options I have under the Settings are Update Notifications and Push Notifications.

Which App did you install? I went to Samsungapps.com and downloaded the apk from there. In settings I have option for Push Notifications and Samsung Account. That's it.
It's basically a Samsung app store which is lame but it has Samsung apps under "More Services" category which is nice. Nothing too amazing in there except Photo Editor and Video Editor (both of which are in the Play Store already).
I downloaded it from the Samsung site as well. I was rooted when I installed it, so I used OTA Rootkeeper to undo root and reinstall seeing if that would make a difference, but it didn't help. I'm after the Polaris Office app, which I can't seem to find in the Android Market at all. Haven't tried the Amazon market yet though. Just getting to me now that it won't work for whatever reason. Already not happy they blocked the Remote Control feature here in the US, not this?!?!

Yup installed fine. Looks like a nice app and not bad for free I guess.
Wow - sorry you're having trouble but thanks for the tip. This is an awesome app. It has Dropbox integration that works well and it's so far opened a bunch of PPT/Docs that many apps have trouble with.

Says you can edit Excel files, which would be great to finally do on my phone. I'm sure there's others that I'll want, but don't want to get even more mad that I can't get apps that I want. This one is bad enough. I found a thread on a different forum where people were able to load it off the site by going to it on the phone, but when I click the download, all that get's downloaded is a file called downloadfile.bin that doesn't do ANYTHING.

I actually just found Samsung Apps in the google store, but when I try to download it, it says "This item is not available for your carrier". GRRR!!! Messed up thing too, is my Galaxy tablet is greyed out too, and it's the WiFi version, there is no carrier on that!!!

I have a problem.... Instagram have blocked my device. Not my account, because I can log in to it from other devices or via the web, but I can not login using my device or even create any other accounts...
I have rooted S3 with 4.1.2... But I don't want to reset my device to try if that works... I don't even know if that would work?
On iOS there is an option of chaining some kind of keychain file... is there something similar on Android? or there is other options?

OK... after trying all kind of stuff... even switching to other Android ID using Titanium Pro did't help... so, the olny way I found was reseting device to factory state.
But if some one finds other solution, it would be great if you cold share with us.

I have tried all that bro....the phone is blocked thru your imei the only way to get back on instagram is by switching it... Iphone users have a solution called udid which changes there id when its been read by an app...i wish android had an app like that one to bypass this instagram bullcrap..

nop... There is an solution, but it`s crapy...
I restored the device several times- installed other rooms and so one... They are not bloking the imei, but they are having some file on the phone, that includes the info about the violetion.

Hit the Sign in button and then go to RAM clearing options- clear RAM memory and switch back to Instagram, but be sure the screen is where you must sign in the username and password and vuola... your in... After signing out, you must do the same thing when you need to sign in with other account or other one or creat new one... as soon as you pres sign in button- clear RAM and then sign in.

still I'm really curious where instagram get's the information about being blocked from, since I changed my Android ID, even created a new Googleaccount and reset everything. The app "LBE Privacy Guard" says Instagram doesn't check the IMEI, but I'm not sure about that.

google it.. so you can read about it.... i got thru on my gs3 all i had to do was search for notepad on my files that had "ig" as the title which was encrypted with my logings and all i had to do was erase it.
Just got banne in IG!! 9/10/13

I have Samsung Galaxy Advance (i9070) running on JellyBean 4.1.2. I factory reset my phone
but to no avail, I'm still banned in instagram. My device is just banned cause my account works fine in their website
and other devices. How did you get through with your problem @Fabolous93085 ?

Hello everyone who have the same problem with me. My S grand2 disabled too, but my instagram still active, i can still login on other device/bluestacks.
Now, I have solution about this after instagram make me confuse for a couple of weeks.
I tried this on my Android Device (SGrand2), just install app called IMAGINE for Instagram. You can google it. Or i recommend to download from onhax web with search keyword "imagine". (sorry i still can't post link)
Once installed you can login from that app not from instagram official app. And the good news, you also get some new features there.

Hello Im not having any luck finding a solution but Ive read numerous reviews on the apps actual google play page where people are having the same issue. Im running ATT S4 rooted, stock rom....what Ive been experiencing is whenever the keyboard is up, Ill type whatever information ie characters name, username etc, and hit "done"...immediatly the app will crash. everytime. Ive cleaned data/cache, removed and reinstalled, rebooted, tried this half a dozen times and no luck. Ive tried numerous keyboards and settings- all that i could think of. Any advice would be great! thanks

Any one figure out how to get it to work? I got the Galaxy S4 AT&T Rotted 4.2.2 Stock for everything else. I wanna play so bad but it's still not working.
I have the same issue trying to run the game on t-mobile S4 on insidious rom. I've emailed the devs about the issue, and still haven't gotten a response from them! I guess we don't matter much to them because were not iphone users!

well i had tried flashing that infamous note 3 camera app and it soft bricked my phone...f%ck me right...so upon restore i flashed 4.3 goldeneye rom, and now the games keyboard doesnt FC it like it had before, and its playable. :silly:
I too am having this issue! Using T-Mo S4, tried reinstalling, nope same problem. i can't get past the part where the medic asks for your name and it's annoying me man I really want to play this game!
