Chainfire 3D games. (cm7 only) - Barnes & Noble Nook Tablet

Ok, So as many people have noticed, it's possible to install chainfire if you are running cm7. (Stock nook rom bootloops when you try to install, so if you don't know what "cm7" is, or "stock nook rom" don't even think about installing chainfire 3d unless you are a masochist.)
This thread is dedicated to what games you have been able to run on the NT with chainfire installed, and a quick mention of what settings you used to get it to work.
I've so far only downloaded and installed TegraZone, and got it to forward me to the market download pages. (not yet had the time to download anything) Though I am looking forward to playing around with it.

I will be compiling a list of games and what settings were successful here as people list them.
Soulcraft THD runs with reduce texture quality and the nvidia plugin. It lags when some spawns load, but this doesn't seem to prevent playing.
Street Fighter IV runs with Qualcomm plugin.

Ive got Chainfire3D set up but how exactly (and where exactly) does one obtain the nvidia drivers?

Nevermind i found em and installed but afterwards i still cant run any of the games. I chose the nvdia driver under opengl and clicked fix market but still says its uncompatible with device. Itll load the market page from the tegra app but then it says its uncompatable

After I installed the chainfire plugins I cleared the data on the market app and rebooted. I used fix market of course and the market no longer shows me the incompatible with this app message.
Trying to get princess punt thd working but so far no luck at all. Thinking I'll be skipping it and moving to the next game

Hmm, Other things I have setup in my settings might make a difference. In the chainfire menu, I've got the nvidia driver setup under default for all apps, and setup as well under per app for the tegra app store. Try making those changes, clear your market data again and reboot (and refix the market)

Hmm. When I first installed the tegra app, I couldn't install from the market. (was trying to install soulcraft) I searched a bit, and found an apk online to download. it installed easy enough via es file explorer, but wouldn't run. I uninstalled the chainfire driver, and reinstalled it with the box checked for the beta egl driver. I then set the nvidia plugin under defaults with chainfire and cleared the market data. (I think this is also where I fixed permissions with rom manager for good measure). after rebooting and setting up chainfire for tegra app to use the nvidia plugin (and only nvidia plugin) for good measure, I also clicked on fix market again for good measure, I tried soulcraft and it still wouldn't run. I went into the tegra app and looked up soulfire. It went to the market download page and the update button was available. I clicked update. the app redownloaded and updated. Now it loads, and I notice that all the thd apps are showing me a download option in the market now.
Somewhere in all this the market started working with the tegra apps. Searches now will show up THD apps and downloads work fine too. I can't think of any other actions i took in trying to get them to load. Perhaps it was the fix permissions that tweaked things. not certain if it was the using the market to update soulfire but I don't see how that could be. I just assumed it was the clearing market data that did it. It might also be the beta egl driver that did it.

Lol ill try that soon when i have the time. Yu really want these tegra games dont you? And are they actually running smooth on the tab?

I've noticed a lot of games seem to come out first for the tegra based devices take soulcraft for instance. I read somewhere it's coming out for all devices soon, but the first release was tegra. When it comes to gaming, I'd rather not wait for several months to play a game if I don't have to.
As for running smooth, so far yes and no. I'm finding that soulcraft plays quite smoothly for the most part. However there are points where it freezes up for like 20 seconds while new creatures are loading. this hasn't negatively impacted gameplay but it's annoying. Otherwise it's played as smoothly as if it was meant for the NT. Still havn't been able to tweak princess punt to work, so I will move onto the next game I see later on tonight.

Ok, After tinkering with reinstalling chainfire after various rom flashes I think the key to get the market to show the tegra apps is simply to first wipe the market data. Second use the "fix market" button in chainfire.

If anyone cares Street Fighter IV runs with the help of Chainfire 3D and the Qualicomm (sp?) driver. Had to mess around a bit and watch a youtube video, it runs well but compared to other games the graphics are just ok and it can be a little choppy.

Chainfire3d just wont work

I simply can not get the darn thing to work, I did everything as directed. I am running wanalite ROM or something.. Any help..
After you install chainfire you have to install the cf3d driver, then you need to install the nvidia plugin, then switch to the nvidia plugin and the game should work.
I did all that, how would I get tegra zone to show up in the Market?

No idea, that's not what chainfire does.
I seen the youtube video where after he put the Nvidia plug in and in the market all the apps showed up including the tegra zone..
It's one of the pro options "Fix Market settings".

Android Market and Build.prop concerns

Sup guys, you can probably tell I'm new here and I have some issues.
Sometime this morning I decided to try and install Sonic The Hedgehog 4 Ep. II on my Samsung Galaxy Indulge R910. I came to find out that it is only compatible with 2.3 and higher, but my Indulge is running 2.2 and there are no GB ROMs for it yet. I scoured the web and found a "solution" to it. If I go into build.prop and change the ro.build.version.sdk=8 to ether sdk=9 or 10, the app not only installs, but runs, too. It worked.
NOW here's my problem: My market doesn't work when sdk=9 or 10, keeps FC-ing unless I change it back, but then the Sonic app disappears and I need the market to download the SD Data for the game. Is there a way to get the market to run without the force close? Do I need a "newer" market version? Or are there more settings I need to try? I tried this one idea, by swapping vendor.apk with another, but same results happen! ANY help on the situation would be appreciated!
You need to clear Google Play Store and Google Framework Services data in: settings>applications>manage applications>(find both and select the "clear data" button).
You should also try using Chainfire 3D, which you can find on Google Play Store. You may not have not edit the build.prop and you can download and play Tera-based games as well through Tegra Zone (also found on Google Play).
There's also an option in Chainfire 3D to "forget market settings" to allow for this...

Thanks for the effort, but no avail

I tried the methods above, but they didn't help my problem. The Chainfire 3D seems cool for performance in 3D apps, but it has nothing to do with allowing GB apps to run on FROYO.
It has to do with the build.prop file, as I've said before. I changed the SDK version to allow or Sonic 4 ep 2 to come up, but my market continues to crash.
ro.build.version.sdk=8 (default) Market works fine, cannot use GB apps and GB apps that somehow were installed by changing SDK version now disappear from installed apps lists and menus.
ro.build.version.sdk=9 or 10 Market fails to operate correctly, keeps Force Closing, but GB apps install naturally, run naturally and behave just fine.
It's like 2 sides of a coin that can't be spent...
Bump
Seriously does anyone know how this could be done? I know there's a way, but I just don't know how and Google is coming up dry... Help please!

[Q] Install Real Racing 2 under CM9?

I saw that Real Racing 2 went on sale for $0.99 and I wanted to take advantage of that. Unfortunately, the Play Store seems to think the app is incompatible with my device. I'm running turl's CM9, which, by default, reports itself as an "unknown MB860". I did some research and changed build.prop to be a "motorola MB860", cleared data for Google Play Store, rebooted, and still no go. I then got out a bigger hammer (as the post I found about market incompatibilities suggested) and change it to a "samsung Nexus S". No joy. I can't imagine the game isn't actually compatible with the Atrix, is it? Any idea of how I can get this purchased and installed? Thanks.
You can purchase through logging in to your Google account through a browser on the Google play website. As for installing it I have no idea
I was annoyed by this too. Really wanted to download this game but got the incompatibility message too on cm7.

It's incompatible with stock, the game is probably only for 800x480 pix screens.

i'm sure it's compatible with stock, i used to play that game before i installed jb to my atrix.
Yeah, I also had the free version on Nottach's ROM... installed fine off of market for me. Ran laggy as hell though, what has your guys experience been with it?

chainfire3d for prime, how to?

how do you install this im tryin to install COD: Black Ops but most web sites say you need to install chainfire3d and chainfire3d pro(want let you install both at same time also)
If you download it from blackmart or pirate it it will not work.
Root the tablet
Buy chainfire from the play marketplace
Install
Configure for whichever game you are using
Best purchase i ever made. Works wonderfully on the prime.
i have it installed. I can play the game. BUT the graphics are messed up. I can see through the walls. So it's kind of glitchy. It's either I have the Xperia Play version or I have my chainfire pro settings incorrect..........Any idea?
Try messing with the settings. Cant say it enough, if you dont have the legit version this wont work. Go to the per app settings, make sure you have the driver for the right version installed and applied to the game which it sounds like you did. Next try things like unroll textures or whatever. Basically, just play with the settings something is bound to make it go a little better.
Sometimes theres nothing more that can be done, sucks but Gameloft games often do that. Look into the different versions, maybe you can acquire a version for a tegra2 device that might work better... experia versions in my experience rarely work well on other devices. Also try versions for devices that have ICS.
Happy hunting!
I happily bought this back when I had an HTC Hero, then a Desire, but I've noticed Chainfire3D (Pro) doesn't work nicely on neither my Galaxy S Showcase nor my TF201. I haven't talked to the dev. yet, but it's on my todo.
