Ok,since i flashed few roms i don't know how to make my mobile network working while i got wi-fi and radio working perfectly... i type in right setting in my apn screen where i should do it and still nothing says there is no internet setting while i have them in and checked on their screen... it's not working with any rom and baseband... if anyone know how to solve this problem it would be very appriciated and helpfull :/ please give a link or something that follows to fix of problem cause i cant find any in search and tell me what exectly i should do

like what rom are you using right now and what baseband version and maybe a screenshot

I live in other country so i can't use that setting :/ and now another thing is that i use .58 baseband i tryed to change baseband nothing happens still no signal ... now i am usio miui and even there it dosent work. :/ i am really pissed :/

Did you try the auto settings. you should be in Firmware 2.1.1.A.0.16 BB 2.1.58

Sorry but I don't no the setting for any others yet but I'm still looking just call your provider or a friend in your area if there on the same network then the settings should be the same. and finding the setting shouldn't be that much different then on your phone.

Try going to Settings/Wireless & Networks/Mobile Networks/Network Mode/Click GSM/WCDMA preferred/Then Click middle button on phone/restart phone. If that doesn't work then do this
Settings/Wireless & Networks/Mobile Networks/Network Mode/Click WCDMA only/Then Click middle button on phone/restart phone
Or this
Settings/Wireless & Networks/Mobile Networks/Network Mode/Click GSM only/Then Click middle button on phone/restart phone Waiting a few between reboots to see if it worked
Double check that you saved your settings in APN
Or try going back to Firmware 2.1.1.A.0.16 BB 2.1.58 (stock ) to see if that works it my be your rom also read the rom post there maybe a problem fix there.
Some custom roms do have that problem at first
Sorry but I only check out stock stuff and some modified stock stuff not custom roms.
But if you go back to GENERIC/GLOBAL and if it works just go from there.

You know that a stock GENERIC/GLOBAL Firmware will get the new 2.3 update from Sony in a couple months it's said to be good. FYI

It looks like you're having issue with the baseband. If the baseband is unknown, go to the Dev section and have a look on the main thread, there u will find the link to baseband thread l. Then download the appropriate baseband config file and flash it on ur device.
Other option is to repair the phone via SEUS.

Only change the setting that are described and are Case Sensitive leave all others as they are. and reboot one or two times to see waiting a few between reboots. if one does not work just delete apn. If (Guest) does not work at first just leave blank

Seus can not repair custom roms. Stock ONLY
i had the same problem eberyzhing was working except mobile internet.on my stock rom i installed apn backup and did a backup of apn.on custom rom i just restored apn and mobile internet worked.i hope this will help.

Have you tried or asked for a new Sim card from your provider. debranding/unlocking your phone only voids your warranty nothing else.
Also check your plan. Are you in a black out area no towers some places you can make calls but no web
Have you checked these settings
Some USA/European/Asian/Canada Networks. Settings/Wireless & Networks/Mobile Networks/Network Mode/Click GSM/WCDMA preferred/Then Click middle button on phone/restart phone. OR
European/Asian/Some Canada Networks
Settings/Wireless & Networks/Mobile Networks/Network Mode/Click WCDMA only/Then Click middle button on phone/restart phone.

Hi
I bought this S3 in Lituania as a "No Signal" phone hoping that it would work in SPAIN.
I have switched it on today, trying with my own sim and after enter the PIN I see "Only emergency calls". I have uptaded it to the 4.1.2 JB but same result.
Checking the locked status I see all OFF. I rooted and installed the Voodoo Unlocked and same result "Unlocked phone" but no network.
The IMEI is the same in the phone than in the back so It doesn´t look like a IMEI issue...
I applied the ariza_v04.zip patch with same result...
I can see the SIM contacts and the phone recognize my SIM number, I mean in settings I can see my phone number...
More info, when I try to select manualy my network, it doesn´t find any!

Download a stock rom say the new 4.1.2 then go into recover make all wipes. After you have done, while in recovery move it down to chose from sd and don't click anything. Now hold Power + Volume down + Home all at the same time till you go into download mode connect your phone and flash stock unrooted firmware on your phone..
When finished start the phone if there is no signal then download CF Root which Chainfire made and root your phone and download GetRil from android market and see if your modem is matching it will tell you your recommended modem find and download it. Then match the ril if that doesn't work sorry mate you might have a blocked IMEI or a bad phone..
Try with another SIM.

Part 1, download an stock unrooted was done with same result, then I flashed with a CF Root and the same. I will try the get Ril way...

May be the antenna has any problem?
Any other ideas?
IF you have emergency calls available - that would mean the phone has some network in range. Therefore, I doubt if this is antenna issue.
Thread moved to Q & A section, post in the relevant section next time.
Have you tried different SIM cards?
Do emergency calls work? If so your number is blocked. It may be a stolen phone.

Well... news!
I went to the Samsung SAT and... the phone has NO ANTENNA! But not only this, it hasn´t the antenna plug!!
So I guess that if I want to fix it I should:
1- Solder any antenna or any antenna plug and then connect an antenna (too dificult I think...).
2- Find this silicon chip replacement (It´s where the usb dock and the camera conects to). But, where?! I tried but I don´t find it...
Any other idea?

Yes I went and they said that they only can change the whole motherboard as the phone is defective.
The phone is not brand new so they cannot change it for a new one...
I have no idea what to do...

Here's my story, about 3 weeks ago i bought my new xperia SP, and first i get the sim card provide by some operator that include the package. And for some reason i have to change the sim card for another operator, but after i change the sim card the signal seems low then the first operator. And i try to get some information about this android phone. And i get this some information that give some advice about setting the signal. And the good thing about it is it can make the battery can last a little longer because the setting set just choose the wcdma only or just gsm only it depends what the best in my area, and can reduce the heating that cause from device always search what the best network if we choose the wcdma/gsm option. And here the thing start. I follow the instruction: first you dial *#*#4636#*#* and the setting window come out. And the choose phone setting, set the network to wcdma only or gsm only. And i choose the wcdma only. After that start to refresh the smsc and update it. After that the instruction said to choose to select the radio band. After i select the radio band my device loose the signal and it just show x in signal bar. After that i try to restart the phone but it come out the same no signal appear. I try to remove and replace the sim card but it steel same, i try to change with another sim card from another operator and it steel same. After that my last choice is to reset my phone to factory setting. And seems it work my signal is back. But after that my phone signal become so weak and recently i got my signal got lost for a view time it just show x but it's not for long the bar seems back again. I start confused is that the advice i choose is wrong ? And there a some info that i got from some search in internet that says upgrade the baseband can make a risk that wifi, LTE signal, and the other connections setting loose they capabilities. I'm so frustated now need help immediately, anybody have some advice or solution? thank you first.

I have the same problem too. I go to the service menu then select the USA band, and I lost the signal. And there is no networks found/available!
The solution is, you need to flash the baseband. First you need to download the newest stock rom (the stock must for your country, you can try asking Google). After that, you download and install the flashtool ( ask to Google too ).
After that, install the drivers (not compatible on Windows 8.1 ), goto C:/FlashTool/Drivers, and run the installer, then select Flashmode Driver.
After you install the driver, move the downloaded rom to C:/FlashTool/Firmwares, then run the flashtool via start menu.
Click thunder icon, select Flashmode, then select the firmware you downloaded.
Make sure that you only flash baseband, not kernel or wipe data, or anything (I forgot where the checkboxes located)
Then, click flash. Turn of your phone. Then hold Volume Down Button, and plug the USB cable that connected to PC, until the illumination bar turns green.
Then wait the process, and it's done.

well Sony is bad, it is normal the XSP got low signal and also this product is discontinued. There will be no any updates again in the future :crying:

that solution is for you accidently choosen the wrong band, and you lost the signal forever. If they are having low signals, try switching from WCDMA to 3G

Ok, sorry for not giving details earlier. I've been using my XSP for 6 months on a 2G connexn, and all was good. Then I tried to shift to a 3G and my problem, on WCDMA only or WCDMA Preferred, I get absolutely no connection, no voice, no data, no bars! GSM only for 2G is still fine. Wifi is working fine.
Guys I have a strange problem my razr wont connect to any of the data 2g or 3g only on custom roms like 4.4 Kitkat,Carbon rom etc . I flashed them on slot 1,2 even on stock slot but no luck.. I tried to change Baseband But It always failed So guys help me.....

I fixed the problem partially..
I fixed the network mess It was bad radio which did this all I flashed ICS radio and now network works fine in all roms (Stock and Custom) BuT bo mobile data on any of them

I tried reflashing stock rom But no success. Help me guys...
2g/3g for many of the newer roms has been a problem with both the XT910 and XT912. I know with cyanogenmod 10.2 I'm still not able to connect to 2g/3g although LTE does work. With the newest release of cyanogenmod 11 though I do get 3g and LTE, although some people have been reporting they are not. Seems it's headed in the right direction. Give the latest CM11 build a shot and see if it works for you.

Is there any APN that saved in your network setting? If it doesn't, set it and save it by hand.

Yup my SIM is in contract and working on other phones I can make and receive calls but not on razr I get NO SERVICE message
Open the phone (or dialer, whatever you would like to call it) and Dial *#*#4636#*#* and go to Phone Information and tell us what the preferred network is.

What ROM did you get LTE Only on?
I learned that sometimes ROMs can mess up NV's. The only way of fixing this is to wipe everything and start fresh. And when you are flashing you cannot downgrade, it will fail every time. You may already know what I am telling you but just in case.
And what carrier are you with?

In my case in testing I am on GSM auto prl. I tried Flashing JB stock moto BUT it also did not solved my problem. I have erased my cid and checked with different region stock also but no progress

I m having same mobile phone xt910 with idea sim ... already pissed with moto and google for not releasing JB in entire asia &

I purchase a new microSIM & also did a data / factory rest from phone boot option ( u know from tht recovery option comes after rebooting in boot seq mode) to solve the problem but no positive result ... though i found one thing if u go to settings -> more -> mobile networks-> select network ... there you'll find 3 option
1) 2G only
2) 3G only
3) automatic default
well by 1st option works it given me range ... doesn't show no service or emergency calls but 2nd & 3rd option gives me same problem " NO SERVICE " or " EMERGENCY CALL "

I dont think its the problem of sim jack. Just go to dialer then *#*#4636*#*# then to phone info then hit menu key select radio band & choose option to automatic.. Hope this helps you.. I had same issue when I chose US BAND

Hi. I have XT910 for more than two years. After brought the phone from Australia to Hong Kong (use Hong Kong SIM card) and back to Australia (replace SIM card with Aus one), I have the same problem as you. Phone can make voice call, but no mobile data connection (3G, 2G).
Want to know if your problem is fixed or not?

i updated my N915P from smart switch to Marshmallow and now i cannot get any signals...i have to unlock my phone again but i do not know how to do it. i bought it unlocked-pre rooted from the reseller but he isn't in touch anymore....please someone help me...and no i cannot spend any kind of money as i do not earn money myself and my parents won't allow me to either......also I'm from India so everything costs like hell here.....
FIX:
After searching through a lot of sites and forums I just tried to dial #72786# carrier reset as a hopeless experiment and viola my phone rebooted and was showing my carrier and i was able to make calls & SMS too. So I just want MODs to close this thread but do not remove it if someone else does the same mistake like I did.
NOTE: It will also ask for Device Activation after the reboot. Keep that in mind!
Just flash mm again whenever you get msg for android updating don't click okay just press home button and let it stay in notification. Your data will work normally.. I'm trying to find fix for it till then you need to use it the way it is..

No I have saved my wifi pwd in lp but its working fine after update... Fingerprint records are causing trouble to me.
I have a sprint note edge and i updated it to marshmallow
Now , i have no signal
It says emergency calls only
And it is on gsm/ global
I am currently in the middle east
Can anyone help ??

insert your sim card
go in settings/networks/mode & set it to GSM
select manual operator & search for your carrier.
if that doesn't work then go in diler and enter ##72786#, select Yes and reboot and try the method i said again

go in dialer and enter ##72786# a popup will show up, select yes and reboot your phone. if that works or not, please report back here
Not working
no any change...same problem after reset.
