AT&T Galaxy Note IRC - AT&T Samsung Galaxy Note I717

I started a channel over on irc.irondust.net for the AT&T Galaxy Note Come on over and hang out with us, I have a beta Galaxy Note rom that needs to be tested and Da_G is needing some more dumps to complete the stock tar collection for all versions.

Can you please move the channel to Efnet, or at least freenode? There is too many IRC networks to be connected to. These 2 are the most popular for android hacking and development.

TwoPumpChump and Da_g working on my new phone! Oh yeah! We are in good hands people!
I used to use their stuff back in the good WinMo days ;-)

#xda-devs or #note on Freenode

is #note on freenode for AT&T Note or international one? I dont think having AT&T and N7000 users together is a good idea - it'll cause a lot of confusion and bricked devices, since the roms, kernels etc are not interchangeable...

I could have sworn I opened this thread in the General section, but it's in development Did someone move it, or am I insane lol. I have made the channel here, if you guys want to come join me you can...if not then go chat wherever you like. If there is one thing I have learned on xda, it's that you can't please everybody Now stop whining and come over

Moved thread to General section, where I thought i was starting it at lol.

In xchat, open the network list. Make a new server, click edit and in the servers field put this:
irc.irondust.net/6667
then, below that there is a favorite channel you can put #attgalaxynote in there

2.1 Roms?

I know everyone here is waiting for the latest and greatest with froyo release but are there any 2.1 roms in the works?
Also inb4 make your own. I don't know how, I wish I did because I would, I don't know why people are withholding their skills because we don't have 2.2...

You're probably about to get flamed for this
But there is work being done, it's just not always visible on this forum. I'd say head over to the irc channel if you're looking for the bleeding edge of development information.
By all means folks don't label me as unapreciative, that's not what I was getting at by any means. I appreciate all the hard work that is being done, I know I myself am by no means helping. Just looking for any info regarding. I like to see what devs can bring to the table and the talent that I wish I had. I'd be more than happy to throw money in the directions of developers, jt and dirrk will soon see some. I can't dev but I do support which is why I asked...

Nope, no need to install on your phone. Just make sure you have flash (duh) and choose one of the links that gives you. Usually the "HD" links that they recommend you are ready to go. But if you click on a link that say "you have to install a program", just ignore (because you won't be able to install them on your phone anyways) and click on another link.
I've been using freerow, has good quality ones, especially sports such nfl or nba. I've been on vacation still and nowhere near my computer or tv, and its helpful!

Rezound Section

I wonder why there isn't a section for the phone now that it has been announced..
It's hard to develop on a phone when it's not released yet.

don't need to be actively developing on it to setup the section that will inevitably be created. Will give people a chance to become acquainted, and a formal place to discuss the phone.
I'll be there!!! Specs's look waaaayyyyyy better than the GN, and we'll still get ICS before the actual "update". So I'm in!

Jelly Bean source code is out!

Seems this news hasn't made it to the Rezound forum yet, so I'm taking the initiative.
http://source.android.com/source/downloading.html
What I'm wondering is, when RIL is finally released for the Rezound, will it be forwards and backwards compatible? Will GB, ICS, and JB all match up and work? Or is it specific to each?
Edit: I see someone started a discussion in the General forum while I was typing this. My apologies.
This belongs in general, not development
I'd bet that the ICS RIL would work with few or no modifications in JB, but then again I don't know a thing about Android development.
Sooooo yeah. JB is pretty sweet. Before I lost my Nexus, I had JB on it, and it was AWESOMELY smooth. Even pure stock was awesomely smooth

Getting sick of these posts saying this is why people leave XDA. If you all want to leave then leave. We don't need to see this post over and over and over again!
How is your post any better then people posting what should be in the development section.
You obviously are not in a hurry to leave because you are still posting here so stop with that BS already!
And if you do decide to leave, XDA will still run just fine without you. I would much rather see jayochs stick around.
