[Q] Marshall Minor incompatibality - Sony Ericsson Xperia Neo, Pro

I racently bought a Marshall Minor earphones but it doesn't fully work with my xperia neo. I cant use the mic. Is there any way to fix it

The earphones themselves should work just fine, just not the mic and that's because for a phone a mic isn't just a mic, it has to have the software and settings necessary to control that mic but phones only have the settings for their mics to work. It's not that same as a computer where you can just stick in any old mic and and it will work. A phone has to know that your earphones actually have a mic and since it doesn't know these earphones it doesn't know there's a mic there and you can't tell it there is one.
Short version: You're screwed, the phone will never recognize that mic.

internal speaker

Hi my internal speaker is (almost) defect, does some one know if i can buy a speaker for my XDA? the sound works when i plug in my head-phone so it must be the speaker that is broken.
is there a (ipaq model speaker i can use ?) or what of a kind speaker do uIneed for replacing the broken speaker (is there a website i can by my speaker ? ) ?
thanx!
greetings
It may not be broken, much usage of the headset can cause a problem with the headset socket, sometimes it stays in handsfree mode. Can you be heard when speaking in to the xda mic rather than the handsfree?

Headphone with built in mic nightmare!

Hi guys,
I recently lost my Shure SE420's and have upgraded to a set of Ultimate Ears Triple Fi 10 Vi IEM's. I bought the 'Vi' version as it has a built in mic for handsfree and a button to answer/hang up. The box said for iphone and blackberry compatible but I assumed the x10 would have no worries as its the same 3.5mm jack.
Turns out I cannot use them as the button appears to be inverted for the x10 / Android, ie its permanently in 'hang up' position. Tring to make a call immedialty displays 'call ended', but if I hold the button down it allows me to call out and releasing it hangs up.
Listening to music is terrible, it sounds robotic and keeps chopping the sound, but when the button is pressed it works fine.
Tested the headphones on my old HTC Touch HD (wm6.5) and a friends iphone and they work perfectly so appears to be an android / x10 issue. The only work around to listen to music is using a 3.5mm extender which doesnt use the mic (one less connection on the jack)
Is there something ive missed in the settings or does anyone know a workaround? Its driving me nuts!
Thanks
its because the wires dont go to the same conections in the x10 compared to the iphone, if you know what i mean. there is no setting because they are hard wired. if you are good with that sort of thing you could make an adapter, afaik that would work but its a lot of hassle.
Does anybody have a headphone with build in mic that actually works on the X10?
yea my stock sony headset that came with the x10 have built in mic and they work fine....

Really? What model headphones are those? The ones I got with my X10 came with an extension remote/microphone that you can use with any headphones, but the extension makes the cables too long so I'm looking for heaphones with the microphone build in.
I tested my Ultimate Ears Triple Fi 10 Vi on an EVO before I bought mine and they worked great. They also worked until around the time of the latest OTA update. Now they don't control music or answer phone calls. I highly doubt the headphones broke but I ordered a replacement cable just in case so hopefully that's it but I suspect they broke something with the update.
Hi! I was wondering of an app that can live monitor my voice on my omnia, in other words I want to hear my voice on the headset so I can connect my phone with an amplified loudspeaker and hear my voice live (without delays) in the loudspeaker. Is that possible? That wold be cool, turn your phone into a speaker system. Please if you can do a reserach and give me an answer, thank you!
mic in headphone jack?
So, does the X10 have the 4 connector-type of headphone jack? Mono headphone jacks have only two conductor areas separated by an insulator; stereo headphone jacks have a third zone; and there are some devices that use a fourth zone adding a presumably mono mic to the mix.
I've been thinking Bluetooth is the only way to add a mic to the X10.
I have one of these mic/headphone combos for my ipod (for skype) and it does the same thing with my X10. I found that if I plugged it in the X10, then pulled it out by about 2-3mm, it worked fine for audio and microphone, but the button would be inactive. Best workaround I can think of.
the original headphone with mic is the best, don`t need to change it
wow so now my skullcandy's w/mic decide to work on pandora radio..
I found this adapter, which might be a fix for the hard-wiring. It's called "FiiO LU1 smart adaptor cable converter".
I am also looking for a wired headset (not in-ears). I know the one from Koss iPorta Pro isn't working.
Today, I found this other one, pretty cool, which claims to be working for most sonyericsson phones: Cresyn C550S black.
Not sure if the adapter is needed though. Maybe it would fix the problem with the
Let me know if you are using any nice wired headphone with mic that is working with x10!

[Q] Phone mic or in line headphone mic issues

I'm getting a strange problem on my note. I have a pair of inline mic headphones.
While the headphones with the mic are plugged in the phone's mic is turned off which is normal...but the mic isn't working on the headphones. Before you say its the headphones I tested the headphones with a call and voice recording on my sisters galaxy s and my old moto cliq.
Another strange problem. the phone mic also turns off when the apple non mic headphones are plugged in.
Are my inline mic headphones not working because of a hardware issue or software? I'm on hybrid with the any dpi tablet mod on stock dpi.
I'm not going to return this note because It's my third one. After two defective camera units.I'm not going to risk getting a more defective unit.
My current note is however having the known problem bottom right corner.
Any insight on my headphones issue?
It doesn't make sense for them to work on the outdated galaxy s and moto cliq but not my note...

[Q] No sound from speaker + mic not working

I have had this problem for a while now.
I don't have any sound from my loud speaker in my S2, and the microphone is not working either.
I can only hear sound/use a mic when I connect an earphone (mic working is the earphones' mic).
I replaced these parts with new ones:
- earpiece speaker flex cable ribbon
- Loud Speaker Ringer Buzzer
- USB dock port flex cable (since the mic is in this part)
Nothing changed.
I'm pretty certain it is not software-related issue since I installed many roms since, and I even got back to stock, but it won't change anything.
What do you guys think? Any way I can resolve this issue?

You are not gonna like my response but its time to visit service center or mobile repair shop.
Thanks ☺
It's probably the motherboard right? Don't see much value in reparing it if this is the case since phones are getting pretty cheap today...
