Just download the neo V's file and flash it via fast boot, then follow the step then you will get ICS for your neo

Thx! Try it!
Is there anyone who has tried this method to Neo?

Custom kernel only needed to hot-boot or can I flash it?

5. If you want to enable face unlock flash ICS gapps from CM9 thread
Known Bugs: cannot use front-facing camera for video recording or still photos. (who's care? you still can use back-camera)

So how are we supposed to use face unlock

@zackie012 :
are the steps (1 to 6 with all the fixes) necessary or only the zip file you attached does the trick?

Can we root it like on the Arc too?

To get ROOT access:
1.Flash the superuser fix via recovery ( access recovery via method above)
2. Go to the market and download busybox by Stephen Sterricson and then select any version of busybox and install it. NOW YOU HAVE ROOT

I tried a file named "MT15i_Camera_Driver_4.0.2.A.0.42.zip" and the back camera is functional, also the front camera, but flash does not.

What about battery? My was hot (sometimes 36 degrees of Celsia)and draining was very high. I have rooted it, flashed old MT15i camera libs from alpha ICS.
I went to CM7.2 and I'm waiting for update.zip of whole ICS beta ROM from NEO V.

I'm back on Gingerbread. Could you post screenshot of the camera with your mod ?
That's how pictures look on the ICS build I tried:
Sent from my MT15i using Tapatalk
Hello,
Thanks for the fix. Actually I didn't install it by recovery but I added the camera files into my little bit modded ICS SE.Tweaked rom fot xperia neo (post here)
So now the colors are respected and video recorder works, but is laggy, and it's not possible to take a picture.
if you install it by recovery i think you can take photos
Can't we just take the camera part from the Arc S ROM?
maybe but you know arc has one camera but neo has two.so i use neo's camera driver.

bad news. I think it's your ROM's problem.I use stock system.img , userdata.img and my boot.img.than flash DooMLoRD-ICS-APLHA-wifi-bt-gsm-ENABLER-v01.zip and camera_fix.zip to my phone.wifi, bt ,gsm ,camera work well.
And you say your wifi can't work too,so I think it's your rom's problem.
Actually I didn't change important system files, my rom has the same structure as the original ICS SE.Tweaked rom so maybe the problem comes from the SE.Tweaked ?
But I'll try to install your zip with the original rom to see.
Hew nothing to do with us thanks.
Copy n past rom
i have applied the fix ... the red colors are gone ... normal colors now but on taking a picture (camera not available) message appears.
flash not working neither in camera nor in flash programs.
video recording working but a bit jerky.
my device is neo ... using ics tweaked.
please use stock system.img , userdata.img and my boot.img ,don't use ice tweaked.

[ROM-GSM] (ACTIVE) - ICS MIUI v4 (2.3.9) - Android 4.0.3 [UD 17/03] *RC0*

Hey Guys,
Here we have MIUI v4 for Xperia Active!
This ROM is based on CM9 FXP111 and is MIUI version 2.3.9.
IF YOU USE ANY OF MY WORK PLEASE GIVE CREDIT WHERE IT IS DUE, THANK YOU!
Whatever issues CM9 has, this ROM will have as well..
Obviously whatever is supplied and you flash is at your own risk,
I will not take responsibilty for any damage to your handset, car, pets etc etc
I cannot update this ROM in the same way I do for the Play as I do not have an Active handset.. maybe if the more generous people in the community would care to make some donations I will purchase one to work on
Please report any bugs and I will do my best but obviously as I cannot test anything myself I cannot guarantee I will fix anything!
YOU NEED TO USE THE LATEST FXP111 KERNEL

I'm downloading one now. I try to do as you said
-Already have the file on my PC.. Oh thank god!
-Flashing the rom with the hopefully home button fix now
-That made it stuck at the MIUI logo. I dont think its possible to replace the ICS usr folder with a GB one with success
-Home button works now but it makes evrything FC when i press the home, back or menu button (btw it wasnt a completely stock ROM i used so i might have to download a update.zip completely stock )
STABLE
YES! I have all the buttons working without any crash! I tried replace the files with a STOCK ROM wiithout delete the folders, just overwrite the files!
-Only big issue is wifi does not work right now but it shold be pretty easu to find a working fix for that too
- Fixed wifi now by using wifi module from KrSH and using kama's kernel v2 from his ICS AOSP ROM.

[MOD][ICS][.587] Skip Tracks via Volume Buttons Long-Press

Tested on Mini and Mini Pro. Should work on all 2011 Xperia line. Made for deodexed, but works on odexed roms too.
Just flash zip via CWM and you're done.
Note:
If it doesn't work on odexed rom, try wiping dalvik cache and reboot.
If you have small apps installed on your rom, flash second zip.
Credits:
Sandy7: for using his script to make flashable zip. Thanks man
Tutorial for developers:
- Decompile android.policy.jar
- Add two smali files (PhoneWindowManager$23 and PhoneWindowManager$24) to /smali/com/android/internal/policy/impl/ folder
- Make changes to PhoneWindowManager.smali according to diff file
- Recompile jar
That's it.

If u already had it, why didn't u post it? I was looking for this for ages...
Anyway, it is possible that it existed somewhere before i posted it, since i'm not an original author of smali code. I found code on some japanese website, and i just modified my android.policy.jar according to differences to see if it will work, and it did.
It's only because i couldn't find fix myself for a long time, that i decided to make flashable zip and share it here.
If i ever find out who is original author of smali code, i'll give him a proper credit.

Is it OK to get stuck soooooooo long (more than 25 minutes) in bootanimation? ( I guess not )
My Experiments:
I just flashed it with it's own cwm (from boot.img in .zip file) it installed probably.
I installed gaaps and ok again.
when i was about to restart it says root access maybe lost would you mind to fix it?
I enter yes ... stuck
I flash again and enter no ... stuck
flash only rom but not gaaps ... stuck
BTW: I did wipe in every sections! to make sure it's cleen
looks like bootloop is in this rom

Why don't you install 10.2 instead everything except Bluetooth is working . open flash tool hold volume down and connect USB to phone then it will say its connected in fast boot mode on computer click on lightning select fast boot mode then select flash kernel select where you extracted kernel from.zip file then boot into recovery by pressing power after vibration

Download android sdk, set it up(this can be found easily on youtube) then navigate to where fastboot.exe is stored, shift right click(windows 7 and up) and click open command window here and type
fastboot flash boot boot.img
Where boot.img is in fastboot.exe's folder
Alternatively you can flash with flashtool(easier)
