[Q] Android Market VS Apple Market - Android Q&A, Help & Troubleshooting

Hi All,
Actually, Im new in Android world. I bought Galaxy P1000N few days ago.
However, I have Ipad & Iphone.
In Apple world, when i want to download Apps I just go to :
App Store for Free & Paid App
Installous for Cracked App
What about Android ??
Im asking cause i downloaded Whatsapp from 1Mobile Market. But its Free Trial as written in about box
could someone help me???????????

There's the Android market for paid&free apps.
I would count a couple of "pirate" markets, but discussing them here is against the rules.

What about cracked Apps?

Yes. Not allowed to be discussed, but if you want an app support the dev.

The Market.
Android applications usually cost between 0,50 to 3 dollars.
I know the paid Market is not accessible to every country so far, but really we should all try to support devs in any way we can.
And yes, acquiring paid apps for free is not to be discussed here.

Now I did let out a proper lol to this thread.
With a question like that, you bought the wrong phone.
Try this :
Super glue your battery in, uninstall flash player, snap off your card holder.
Now your nearly there, just get a crappy miui rom.
Job done!

You can dowload iOS4 for Android here:
http://tinyurl.com/265hpgn
i have just seen this review/preview of an iPhone clone that looks EXACTLY like the iPhone 4 (it fits perfectly in iPhone4 cases) and runs a 2.2 Rom that looks EXACTLY like iOS4
maybe someone will dump it for those that want to have an iOS for whatever reason.

Lolz, you made my day! I hadn't laughed that much about something regarding technology since my grandma tried to understand what the internet is!
Seriously though, what the hell were you thinking?Android is the open-source,much cooler and generally better alternative to iOS.Why would someone want to spoil that?Would you buy a Ferrari and start modding it by putting the engine of a Smart car in it?Jesus.
Y on d earth do u want iOS in android! Duh!! Tat was d dumbest question

Hey guys!
You know, there is one point about ios on SGS2.
Garmin is still not available for Android, and if we could run an ios app on Android some way, then this very BIG problem would be solved!

Investors fled GPS-makers' shares today after Google announced it would offer free turn-by-turn GPS directions in its Android phones and as a service for other mobile phones, like Apple's iPhone.
Garmin shares dropped 17% and TomTom shares dropped 21%.

Because Topo Czech Pro 2010, Topo Germany 2010, and many-many other FULL featured and DETAILED maps are only available in Garmin(NT) format!
Google's maps are useless in comparison to Garmin-TOPO-maps.

If you want/need Garmin, buy an iPhone instead. Pretty simple solution if you ask me.
As for the OP; quality. Sig'ed.

Slice 2.0 apk

Hey all,
I want to get my hands on the new version of Slice - Shopping Organised, which allows you to track shipping information based off your email.
However, the app is not available in my country from Google play. I don't understand why, since the email and the shipping companies are pretty much the same here. Why is it restricted?
Anyway, can someone post the apk here for sideloading?
Thanks!

Its license might have been changed. So, its illegal.
Go directly ask for apk on their official website.

Err... no it's not
@OP
If you're rooted, Google for Market Enabler. With that you can set your phone to appear to the Play Store that it's in any country you wish.

So allowing someone access to an app despite it not being available in their country wouldn’t be classified as warez?
*edit* With your edit to your last post I guess it isn't, meh my mistake.
If it's free, if you can download the apk and if it doesn't have any specific licence restriction (which it won't if it's freely available on the Play Store), then it's all good.
And thinking about it, wow! This is one of those rare occasions where something actually doesn't belong in Off-topic! It deserves this emoticon...

This thread represents a misplaced, not asked for, placeholder. Plus XDA has an entire policy concerning paid apps promotion. Read da rules
Please don't do that again. @xanthrax Could you take care of that ?

Hi
it`s OK, I`d say, the guy has no intention to sell a paid app here as far as I can see, he only made an announcement about his "findings", hope he won`t post any links to warez
