[Q] Some questions.. - Asus Eee Pad Transformer Prime

Hi,
I just need some answers on a couple of questions I have, firstly how can I get spellcheck to work with the physical keyboard and not just with the virtual keyboard?
Secondly, I remeber seeing an app which would let you run a sort of overlay which would always be on top, allowing you to for example browse the internet and have a video playing on the side. Just can't remeber the name of the app, any ideas?
Thirdly, when using splashtop, wether its the ASUS my desktop version, normal splash top or splashtop HD is there a way to have the remote computer's mouse pointer follow the transformers mouse pointer?
Hope someone can help clear up a few questions.
Thanks

I suggest dual screen browser.

[Q] How can we solve the remote desktop right click problem?

So I got my dock today and I've begun sampling remote desktop solutions including several RDP clients, VNC clients and Splashtop HD.
So far Splashtop seems to be the clear winner in terms of video performance, which is important to me as I'd like to at least be able to do simple things in games with high video demands (check the auction house in MMOs for example). The problem is that when I plug in a USB mouse or use the touchpad with Splashtop HD, there is no right click support- right click seems to be bound at some level to back in Android. I have not pulled the trigger yet on Remote RDP (paid) because I already own splashtop, so any comparison between the video on the two would be great, also.
So, questions:
How might it be possible to change the way android sees a right click from the mouse? If it were possible to make android see a right click as a random rarely used character like ` (tilde), there are ways to tell your desktop to interpret such a key as a right click (mousefighter comes to mind).
If the above proves impossible or unwieldy, is anything comparable in terms of video to splashtop?
I agree splashtop is pretty incredible from a video standpoint. You might try gotomypc? I believe they have an android app.
I didn't know about this right click issue, I've been using splashtop but I don't have my dock yet.
I'm sure there is a workaround...
TF201 | XDA Premium
i use pocketcloud. The free version only allows one config but i just reconfig when i need to. It has a nice mechism for different mouse and keyboard functions but i have not tried an actual mouse with it. Not sure how good video and stuff is since i just use it to admin servers. It does pass windows sounds though.
Plz post in the Q & A forum..
Pocketcloud Free does support right click from an external mouse Sadly, de paid pro doesn't I hope they will upgrade soon.
I don't know if this would theoretically help, but in ICS there's a setting to change the touchpad right-click to long press rather than back. Doesn't seem to work for me though...

[Q] use one Android as mouse/keyboard for another?

Hi! I know that there are apps to let an Android device serve as a mouse and keyboard for a PC or Mac. But is there anything to let an Android device do the same thing for another Android device? I feel like someone must have done this, but I can't find such an app. (I'm interested in getting an Android HDMI stick PC to use with my TV, and I'd much rather control it with another Android than with a keyboard and mouse.)
I found one app, Tablet Remote, which does _much_ of what I'm looking for, but it doesn't actually act as a mouse (instead just giving you arrows to move the selection point), which means that there's no way via Tablet Remote to do lots of basic things that require key taps.
Any ideas?
Thanks!
Alan

Ideas for an information board

My goal here is to make an EASY to use display for people be able to read DOC, PDF, XLS files.
Here is what I want to use:
1. Rikomagic MK802 III
2. Logitech T650 touchpad
3. 1080P 52" LG TV. (We already own this)
4. Office/PDF app such as: Kingsoft Office, or Easy PDF reader
I plan to connect the MK802 to the tv then install the touch pad (in the available USB slot) and have people use the touchpad to "flip" through files.
In my mind it seems simple enough but some questions I have are:
A. Does anyone know a way to lock android into a "demo mode" of sorts. Where only one app is accessible and the screen stays on?
B. Has anyone used the logitech touchpad T650?
C. Any better app suggestions? Keeping in mind easy is the key.
Just found a cool app that will take care of the demo mode that I want:
KioWare Kiosk Mode Software
On the MK808 custom software, you can disable the navigation keys... essentially keeping from anyone escaping. It is possible to bring back the navigation and exit but not at first glance...
Not sure how you could do this. Maybe a tasker sequence to check if XYZ app is running else launch XYZ. So even if someone did exit, it would relaunch.
Combination of both?
Sent from my Nexus 7 using XDA Premium HD app
did it work?
Hi, did the Logitech Touchpad work?
I tried the newest MK 802 (8G, bluetooth) with Apple Magic Trackpad and it did not work - no mouse movements, no clicks.
This might be of use to you, Smart Protector. I've used it in conjunction with launchers that can hide icons to stop anyone from messing about with the setup.

[Q] Enable Mouse/keyboard and Trackpad support in games?

Hi how can I play games on the Matricom Midnight MX2 with a wireless usb keyboard and mouse/touch pad, or any device with no touch screen?
I have a Microsoft All-in-One Media Keyboard with USB Integrated Multi Touch Track Pad :Amazon URL deleted, as system doesn't seem to like external links.
And a Logitech K400 Wireless Touch Keyboard: Amazon URL deleted, as system doesn't seem to like external links.
Of the two the Microsoft Keyboard is probably the most useful, as the trackpad supports full multi-point touch functionality, whereas the Logitech keyboard only has two finger, up, down, left right and single finger 'tap to click' functionality.
The problem is of course hardly no Android games at all were made for keyboard and trackpad functionality.
I have tried USB/BT joystick centre and Tincore Keynapper. However, both of these seem to require some extent of touch interaction with them to set them up. I don't think there is an assumption that someone will try to set them up on a non-touch enabled device.
Besides which they both seem freakishly complex and may require several hours to try to set up, if that is you can get them working, which as I said might not be straightforward in a non-touchscreen device. To be frank I would rather not have to spend hours configuring keyboard/mouse and track-pad support. I just want to plug and play if possible.
I wonder if the guys at Android X-86 have resolved this? If they have, couldn't the Matricom folks do something? This seems like something that should be enabled by default.
To be clear Keyboard and mouse support do work in Android itself, but just not in any games I have tried. One of the biggest attractions about Android is of course fun games!
Hi has anyone got an answer for this?

[APP] [Dev needed] - Gamepad right thumb stick mouse pointer control...

Hi...
Shieldtv gamepad has special feature, when app is not made for AndroidTV there is a mouse pointer on screen which can be controlled with right gamepad analog stick (only with original Shield gamepad)...
Unfortunately most of nonnative AndroidTV apps doesn't use this feature...
I investigated a bit about this feature and came to next idea...
If one can make app which will be in foreground with permission to draw over other apps, doing nothing, only 1px height/width (for example in top left corner of screen) and if that app is made as nonnative AndroidTV app then it will activate mouse pointer (on AndroidTV)...
And if that app can be bind to gamepad button (for example through tvQuickActions app or any other button mapping app) for activate/deactivate it (toggle), that way user could activate mouse pointer in any app (native/nonnative AndroidTV app)...
This way we could use nonnative AndroidTV apps with no need for hardware mouse.
What do you think about this idea...?
Unfortunately I didn't find this kind of app (closest to this functionality is Ease Joypad app for persons with special needs, but it has also other functions which limit its use).
Here is the video of Ease Joypad app and whole idea...
Does someone here have knowledge/skills/will to make this kind of app?
I'm willing to pay for that kind of app on PlayStore...
Sincerely...
I'm unpleasantly surprised that no one is interested in this kind of app and that there's no interest even for discussion...
So sad...
