First of all,hi,i'm Gabriel and i'm new in here,i got my SGA 2 weeks ago and i'm really loving the phone..I just rooted my phone and i'm thinking about installing a ROM in it,this one specifically http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1493143
But i don't know how to,and i'm a real noob when it comes to this stuff,and also if there's a tutorial about this i'm sorry because searched everywhere for one but i didn't find any that i understood..
Please help me, how can i install this rom into my phone,and i have 1 dowd,if i install it and i don't like it,is there a way to unnistall?
Oh and if someone can point me to a better rom i'd apreciate it,i'm looking for a rom that doesn't drain so much battery,it's good looking and it giver a better performance in games n stuff =p

Hi . First, you must have clockworkmod(cwm5) .. Reboot the recovery . Now wipe cache,data and dalvik. Go to install from SD card . Search your ROM file. Select it example: (IcSrom.zip) Flash it n wait. After that just reboot n wait.. Congrats u have a custom rom on ur phone now.IF u don't like the rom. Flash a stock gingerbread with Odin or use other custom rom. For me All the rom best!!!

Yes if you install amy rom it will be wiped
But make backupp with cwm then ur apps can be back or use titanium backupp

As long as it's a cwm flashable file you can swap roms all you want. Just clear your data, cache, and dalvik between roms
I'd also suggest creating a backup in case you don't like your new ROM out something goes wrong. You can do that in cwm recovery as well.

My rom manager is not updating, saying some signature error. Right now I am on sensation rom using KI3 kernel.
Can anybody assist and also when I slide on my lock screen to unlock my camera starts automatically.

What do you need rom manager for? The sensation rom already comes the speedmod kernel which has cwm recovery, boot into recovery if you want to install other roms, don't bother with rom manager. You can flash all day long.
I noticed today that the data connection on my phone is not working the way it used to before I flashed the rom. Any particular reason or remedy for this.
No wonder have a better battery performance

I have p500(indian) on old baseband and want to upgrade to new bb using lgmdp.. following are a few questions that i dint find an answer to.
1.what is the risk of having a bricked device if i turn off lg virtual modem..?
2. th lg virtual modem is shown as lge android platform usb modem.. is it the same..?
3. What rom and recovery should i be on to flash new baseband?
4. can i flash cm9 first and then new baseband?
5.my recovery takes around 5 seconds to show the options... it wasnt like this before.. is this normal? im on the recovery i firrst installed(amonra 1.2 the one with bad boot message)
6.before flashing a recovery zip or cwm from rom manger what precautions should i take?
7.In rom manager if i say install recovery.. it shows p500 and p500(oldbb) so if i flash old bb now and then upgrade.. will it work?
8. if flash the one without (oldbb) will my phone get bricked..?

Well there are many tutorials out there on how to get new bb. Just follow them step by step. You have to flash it first then you can get CM9. Forgive me but some of your question sound like this "Will my phone work if I submerge half of it in water?". Don't worry just do as you're told on the tutorials All the best!

joel chan thanks for telling me.. but actually my whole family has gone out.. and this is the only phone i have.. so i have to be extra careful... being an engineer.. had to evaluate each and every risk factor that could be involved.. i know i might so III md screwed up.. but thanks for anwering atleat two of my wuestions.

Aspee has an old baseband fix that might work.. there is also a funny sim fix that might work...flashing baseband is easy and simple

There is definitely a risk, and you have to follow the instructions clearly to avoid any risks. To be honest here, I bricked my phone thrice (yes! 3 times) using kdz updater. That's why I'd suggest that you don't upgrade to new bb using kdz updater

The only and most secure thing i have to prefer u to flash official froyo 2.2.2 on ur phone first... if u already using it then its ok... n if not then search a official froyo rom in zip format for flashing it via cwm recovery... after then... use lg pc suite for upgrading it to official 2.3.3 n ur phone will automatically updated to new bb too.
EDIT: Just clarify me what rom n recovery are u using...!?? What android version and baseband shows on ur phone....

I am newbie on this forum so I don't have access to post on development section that is why I am posting here..
When I first tried to install this rom through skin Cwm by doing wipe data and catches I installed successfuly but stuck at Samsung logo. So removed battery and again tried to go into recovery mode by pressing combo of three buttons I was not able to get into recovery mode. I was sticking to Samsung logo. I did the same thing at least 5 to 6 times.
I am fully aware of the procedure. as have successfully installed the all versions of creed rom, chobits digitalis, mui v1, hybrid v4, chobits digitalis v2.. At that time I was on creed fusion v3. 2rom. then I installed stock ddla1 firmware through odin. And after I successfully installed the same through recovery mode by doing wipe data an catches. Again I installed the same on stock ddle1 firmware successfuly. I am currently on ddle1with ultimate v1 rom.
It is best rom I have ever seen. it is working nice.
I have seen the same problem post on the ultimate v1 rom thread.
Don't get me wrong, I don't want to spread negativity about his rom. I appreciate his work and efforts towards making this beautiful rom an making it available for free.
My genuine intention is to make all new user who wants install this beautiful rom
Should know this in order to prevent from getting into trouble.
Must install this rom on stock firmware. I have tested on ddla1 and ddle1. Working best
I will give him 4and half star.. Half star is always improvement for improvement.

You wont void your warranty with flashinh new rom coz you can always go back to stock one with sus.....there is no best rom, all of them is worth to try, because all of us had different tastes, and thats why there is a plenty of cus roms...

You need root your phone so you can install cwm, with you can flash roms and other great stuff from devs, well iv tryied Xperience lite, Terra rom and now im downloading Zperience rom, so far all roms are good and fast, but their optons and other stuff are related to your owne interests so you should try a couple of them and decide which one is better for, and offcourse you should flash cybershot mod for your camera coz in stock ics camera sucks, this mod improves it
