Dear all,
My friend (who is a girl) has a DesireS. Some months ago its touch-screen not working. And I solved it by doing hard-reset (clearing /data).
Today this problem happened again, but she wanted to save some SMSs. So, is there anyway to read/back-up the SMSs without a working touch-screen?
(the bad is this phone has not been rooted )

Long time reader first time poster; I've got this fantastic phone, been playing with it for a while. I installed HSPL as soon as I got it, with a new stock ROM to unlock it. I had problems making phonecalls where the voices were garbled, so I tried a different radio ROM which fixed it. I've since been through about four radio ROMs trying to fix this new issue.
I send a SMS, and it shows as sent in the phone, but doesn't get recieved. A couple of days later, all the SMS that were "pending" will be sent at the same time, leading to some fairly confusing replys. Any ideas? Should I try a new ROM?
If I try a new ROM, will my SPB backup restore my data correctly?

For some reason, on my X10 mini pro, making outgoing calls is no longer functional as it should be.
I'm making a call, and when the other end picks it up, I'm abled to hear the 2nd side but he isnt abled to hear me, though the same wont apply when having an incoming call, both sides hear each other (though I heared complains about low vocal volume..)
For now, I have attempted to make a factory reset, which seems to have worked.
Yesterday, I have done the same to the phone (factory reset) and brought up all of the apps I needed, make a call test, then went to CWM and had a restore.
Today when I've recovered it, the problem still presist and I dont know if its something releated to apps that I have installed, or some wierd behaviour of the phone... (tried plugging out the bat, didn't do.)
Sim card is fully functional since I had no problems making a call after a factory reset.
Anyone can assist me locate the problem and quarantine it?

AGH!!!!!!!!!! Problem solved!!
Found out that viber is apperantly causing this trouble, by uninstalling it and home-calling test, seems it cured the problem... GONNA POST SOME MAJOR BUG REPORTS TO VIBER AGHK!
Mhm... submitting a ticket to viber support,
And a reply ;
"Altered, or customized ROM units are not supported by Viber. Nevertheless, we have heard of success
stories from our users. Our recommendations to you would be to uninstall and re-install [try again]. Or to find the proper customization which works best with Viber. Returning the ROM back to the it's original settings is of course the best option."
Any ideas why this is caused on my MiniCM6 (Cyano) mod on my X10 mini pro?

a week ago i got my motherboard of my p500 replaced..
after 3-4 days i rooted it with GingerBreak APK...i just used it normally 2-3 days after rooting only and it started giving this problem.
whenever i make a call it will automatically turned to loudspeaker it is same while in the case of receiving it. i can manually turn off the loudspeaker after picking it.
and when i restart the phone the problem is solved.!!!
now i installed THE OPENOPTIMUS 2.3.3 ROM. The problem is still not solved.!
please help me what should i do now..its really very annoying..

u should have done a complete reset before flashing new roms?
try searching google for "solved p500 problem after repair"
i did it....
when i turned my phone on at that time after reset the phone looks like the new one and the memory card is completely erased.!..with the help of custom recovery.

Since about a week ago my SGS2 answer an incoming calls with the speakerphone turned on by default, and there's no way I can change it.
I use lightning rom 1.5 for a few months and everything was perfect until now.
Please help!

Oh I had this same issue just last week, out of nowhere. Here's what I did: plug the USB cord in & out the phone a few times, it should get okay. Just google it too, there's a bunch of HTC users who have reported the same issue but the plug in/out solution works for S2 as well.
Do you all use Go SMS Pro?....if so then its a software issue...
Update the application to the latest one and your issue will be resolved.
I used to have Go SMS pro, but I removed it long ago.
I heard about the problem it makes - similar to mine, so I tried to install and uninstall it again, but it didn't help.
I tried the USB connect/unconnect advice - didn't help.
I tried to install several auto-speakerphone apps to bypass the problem
Most didn't succeed, except from "save your brain" that worked OK for a while and than stopped. It also had annoying notification icon, and many Chinese notes, so I uninstalled it too.
Can't find the solution yet
I'd love more suggestions.

i had the same issue for about the same period, it started kinda a week ago, but in the past days i noticed that it just returned to normal
i updated gosms on 29aug to the last version, i guess this was all the fix i needed, stock 2.3.3 atm

I Managed to solved the problem using Elixir widget.
One of the possible widgets is Speaker widget.
Once I turned it off - the problem stopped.

I have X10 mini pro, with MiniCM7Pro v21
And problem:
I can get notofication about sms (same message) up to 5-40 times ranging from one hour - to multiple days. Number of sender is irrelevant it happens from all of them. There is also no pattern to this behaviour.
Factory reset, with cleaning cache dosesent help. Its not a newtork problem - they say on there end everything is ok, and sometimes thing just work the way they should. It started some time ago - before everything was ok, also on stock firmware everything is ok (but i wont use it because trading solution to one problem, by reversing to crap is unacceptable).
Can someone tell me what to do, to not smash the phone with the hammer ?
