[MOD] Beats Audio on Android - TouchPad Themes and Apps

http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1511335
This thread has a link to a cwm flashable package that has Beats Audio libraries. I flashed it on my TouchPad and it sounds a lot better, but I might just be crazy?
Note: I'm using Beats headphones with it, not the speakers.
Double Note: I didn't pay for the headphones, don't worry. Ugh. haha

i think this is a more suitable topic

This is working very well. now my music sounds the same as beats enabled WebOS!

This only for headphones right? Does it have any effect on speakers?

will this work on other android devices...such as xperia play?

did you flash w/ android 4.0.3 or 2.3.6?

how do I remove this because I have an annoying clicking noise after every sound, its more like an echo like(click click click click click click)

guys i dont think that this flashable zip can bring beats audio to android
first flash the zip and try the sound in android you will see that the sound much better
but the truth that sound in touchpad webos is 100 time better than this

Most of these mods have no way of going back which is why you should always do a nandroid before applying any mods.

Well since your not giving the linke delete this topic. Keeping it up might get us newbs hopes up -_-

I can confirm that this does bring beats back to the touchpad pretty well. I have noticed that on the latest official nightly of cm9 the audio starts to malfunction when the screen turns off. Sounds like an AM radio and real crackly anyone know a fix?

I'd like to know that about the audio too - but as it's unfinished I assumed it was a problem to be expected.

Ok,I finally found two that work.

Doesn't the Touchpad already have Beats Audio built in? The hardware is what's going to make the difference--this is just an equalizer with a bass boost.

Beats Audio isn't indicative of differing hardware. When the libs were extracted from the HTC Rezound, it was discovered that Beats is nothing more than a software EQ, capable of running on any device once the correct files are installed. Flash it and you'll hear a difference.

Cool

ICS Camera on Gingerbread

Dear all,
I understand that ICS update on our S2 brings (among other things):
- Stereo Sound on video recording
- Better image quality on photos and video
Is there a way to move these changes into gingerbread? I mean i don't wanna update to ICS, I'm fine on my custom 2.3.6 and just want Stereo Sound and better image quality
Should we just copy camera.apk?
Your thoughts please
Won't work. Different framework.

ok.... so we are stuck with mono. .... until someone expert finds a solution...
Just curious, what good is stereo sound with just one microphone and speaker? Is there a way to record with two real channels?

Look what I "stole" from kindle fire fourms. Also is it possible to...

I was lurking around kindle forums cause my sister has one and wanted a rom for it so I found this beats audio sound apk for settings which is cool but have not tried it on rez yet.
Also is it possible to port over some features from GSIII, like voicing out answer or reject when phone rings, texting while watching a vid, screen wont dim when facing you and some others i dont remember?
EDIT Beats app does work if put into system and its pretty much a themed Dsp manager which looks badass, BUT the settings in the app dont work on Viper rez rom
That would be a TON of work for a Dev to do even one of those.

about the beats apk.......I had read somewhere that there was a mod for beats audio to work with ANY audio on the Rezound, not just the stock music player. Anyone know where I can find that? I haven't found it.

Audio Output On LG Optimus Makes My Eyes Rain...

Hey folks!
Here's my issue and I hope you guys are able to help me out. I am currently listening to audiobooks from the Optimus G through the aux port in my car.The volume output level, even set to maximum stun, leaves a lot to be desired. Is there a way I can increase the volume output with something like Beats Audio, Bravia Sound, or is there an app that can be used? I am currently running 4.1, rooted, stock and I am using Google Music. I've tried volume+ from the Play store and it did absolutely nothing. Any help would be appreciated. Thanks guys.

If you do a quick search on xda for ac!d audio or viper 4 android, those two will do wonders. I know there's also a beats audio installer app on google play that'll do the trick too. Pimpmyrom also has options to install audio mods that will help a bunch too.

Yeah haha I understand. First off make sure to make a nandroid of course. I've found that personally I prefer ac!d version 7 the most, but I've used the beats installer plenty of times, as well as the pimpmyrom option. As far as easiness goes, the pimpmyrom route is probably the easiest, but you're pretty safe going on any of the routes.

If your on stock Check out my kernel in my SIG. If your on aosp look for my b20 kernel. My kernels has faux sound n faux speaker support. This allows you to tweak your sound profiles with presets or you can go custom to fit your likings.

would acid and faux speaker/faux sound work together with your kernel? or would having all three implemented break something/not make a difference?

Acid edits the libs in your system files where faux speaker/sound just tweak the various volumes, so you can have them all running at the same time. (that's actually the setup I'm using presently)

Edit - By the way I'm rooted, unlocked, and stock. Tried acid, beats, and Xloud but Mystery plus Faux was the only thing that made a noticeable difference.

[Q] Equalizers/Sound Enhancers issue

Okay I got this phone, all is good. Updated its firmware and all available updates from HTC. I plug in my headphones and beats audio is working fine, just one issue, where are all the equalizers or sound enhancement options? It ain't in the music player nor In sound in the settings?

You need to root&unlock your phone and install a custom rom , to have the equalizer settings. Many roms here , aka insertcoin or viperx , have build-in eqs , on elegancia you may need to flash layapota mod for hox+
There is only beats in stock firmware from memory so do the obvious and Install a rom to get all that.

Get louder bluetooth.
Looking at the build.prop, does this make the V20 LDAC compatible?
Does this help with BT reconnect issues? When I disconnect BT by turning my car off, I cannot reconnect on startup unless I turn the phone BT all the way off and on. (VS995 Desloation ROM).
I installed the mod, did all the adjustments to my Build Prop.. I can confirm it works and I'm using WETA 5.07.. But I really can't notice a change in volume with my fairly expensive Bluetooth over the ear headset.

I'm quite surprised this thread hasn't picked up much steam, I know this device was meant to use a good set of (corded) headphones, but there is an improvement in a trade off for battery life non the less, but if you are at home and have your phone plugged in.. The volume increase is dependent on how loud your Bluetooth headphones are.
