My guess is your flashing wrong somehow. There should be no problem if it will run some fine. I do get an issue with some roms stuck on boot screen. I get round it by flashing with 2.2.1 then flashing to 2.3.3/4

Galaxy s plus problem with odin

Yesterday night i did some modding to my phone: first of all i -rooted it (and it all went good)
-installed clocwordrecovery (and it went good)
-i thought i cloud install a custom rom so i first did a nandroid with clocwordmod... but when i finished the backup the phone would go directly into recovery mode and not turn on... i saw a tutorial on how to stop that and did it: now my phone is (bricked, think) i can't start recovery mode or turn it on cuz an icon with cell and pc with a yellow triangle in the middle comes in the middle.. i thought i should flash the phone.. so i download odin 4.43 and did exactly like in the tutorial but in odin i get : Download Start...

How to make a hard reset on pattern-locked and unrooted Galaxy5?

Hi
I'm trying to hard reset Galaxy 5. It's my friends's phone actually. It's locked with pattern and he forgot the pattern. Now the galaxy is asking for GMail account that he doesn't know too. I tried to enter mine, but there is no internet conection on his phone. I tried to turn it on with the power key, but it's like i never clicked on anything.
I tried with ODIN using these files:
OPS File: C:\Users\Puma9251\Desktop\EUROPA_I5508_v1.0.ops
One package: C:\Users\Puma9251\Downloads\ClockworkMod-Galaxy5-RFS-v0.7.tar
I'm trying to install CWM and install custom ROM or at least reset the device, but nothing happens. It'just restarts the device and does not enter in recovery.

What's wrong with that phone? I tried reflash but it\s the same/

Just install adb on your PC, connect your turned on phone via usb, open console on pc and type adb reboot recovery
Ok,i did it. I managed to go to recovery mode and install SonyStyle ROM. I did wipe cache/data before that. I restarted teh device, i thought i will se loading ROM. No,iot's just showing SAMSUNG logo, i think it's a bootloop. I can't conect it to adb anymore,as i can't turn it on. Can't flash it with ODIN too, it says close port and waiting for restart and the phoen restart itself with dark screen, then SAMSUGN logo and thats all.
Any ideas?!
Have you closed all Kies processes and ran Odin as Administrator?

so i cant even reflash it. the phone stayed in samsung logo for a while, then it stayed on it. Nothing appeard to happen. It just says SAMSUNG. Sometimes the screen is going black for a sec and then it says SAMSUNG again.
Try another package.

can you give me links as i have no idea where to search for as the device is not mine
Use the search function and search for CWM recoveries in this forum ( gt-i5500)
Hello, look there http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1151396&highlight=cwm and you could try with some psyke83's roms. Almost every rom is build on them. I recomend CM10.1 it's stable and everything works.

[Q] Stuck when trying to flash stock ROM

Hello,
I'm trying to unbrick a bricked Samsung I5500 (branded TIM, from Italy). I booted it into download mode by pressing volume down, center and hang up, and with the yellow triangle on I tried to flash it using VirtualBox. However it doesn't go past this:
Code:
<1> setup connection...
<1> odin mode.. check plcatform verification.
What I tried to do is pausing the Windows virtual machine, disconnecting the phone from the VM, reconnecting it, waiting a couple seconds and unpausing it. It says it's verified, but also "disconnected" right after.
Log:
Code:
Download Start...
<0> Create File...
<1> StartThread Detected : 1
<2> StartThread Detected : 0
<3> StartThread Detected : 0

<1> VerifyPlatform:V0, P0,R0
<1> e - usb is disconnected!!
<1> thread will be terminated.
<0> Destroy instant..
<0> Killed timer
<1> Disconnected!!!
A screenshot is attached.
I tried using Heimdall but I get a libusbx error, I guess it's not supported as it also requires a specific version of ODIN on Windows.
What can I do to solve this issue? The phone doesn't work and it's stuck in a bootloop.
Thank you.
