[Q] Stuck in weird bootloop. - Galaxy Tab 10.1 Q&A, Help & Troubleshooting

So I've been using Kang's ICS preview for about a week, and I really liked it, except from some bugs such as freezing after not using it for a few hours.
Today when I got back from school, (not used the tab for 7 hours) I tried to turn it on but I couldnt get past the loading screen, so I turned it off by holding the power button for a few secs.
Now I just cant get it to load up normaly, its just goes to the bootscreen, stucks, then its impossible to turn it off.
I tried going in to CWM and wipe data/cache but that freezes too.
Is there any other way to wipe it and install another rom like Overcome?

Mine did this as well. It would hit the Samsung loading screen and never go any further. I basically had to unroot it and take it back to stock via ODIN. Hopefully this works for you.
Hit up this link and download the big blue link at the top labeled DOWNLOAD:
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1474971&highlight=odin
Follow the directions to get into the Download Mode, then jump down the unrooting part.
After its done with the download it will reboot automatically. Soon as it does this make the tablet go into Recovery Mode. It should go through a script and reboot automaticly. Again don't let it boot normally, make it go into Recovery Mode. I think it took a few times for me and then it eventually went into Recovery. I then did a factory reset and rebooted. Now I have an unrooted Samsung firmware. Back to scratch though, but fine with me! I was getting worried I wouldn't be able to get it back.
Oh...and this process will wipe your internal memory as well.

[q] stuck in a vicious boot loop help me not to end up with a $300.00 paper weight

Listen i'm somewhat new so forgive me if i posted in the wrong place.
Just hear me out please.
Ok heres a little s/a. I have a samsung vibrant, last night i flashed my vibrant which was on a rooted vibrant9 rom. To bionix 1.9.1 w/ jacs oc kernal and the voodoo lagfix. Before flashing to the bionix i switched the boot logo and .wav file to one i perfered, i also did the same for the shutdown logo. Now, per the instructions for installing bionix 1.9.1 i took a nandroid backup of my phone on vibrant9 before performing the flash. After i did i flashed using clockwork. Everything went fine, the phone flashed, rebooted and was working great. However i rebooted the phone and relized that the shutdown screen wasnt working as it should because i forgot to include the shutdown.cfg thats required. What i did was took the bionix.zip off my sd card went into it and added the .cfg file i needed. I added it back to the sd card and figured i'd just reflash and all would be fine. Not so lucky however, i tried to reflash using clockwork (which took me to the regular recovery menu you would get to holding down the volume buttons and power) and it failed giving me an error which said "error on line 80". Relizing that the instruction said that if you had the voodoo lagfix you should disable it, i decided to do a factory wipe of all data (thinking that would definitly disable voodoo) after the factory wipe i attempted to flash bionix 1.9.1 again with no luck. After the last attempt i decided to just restore using the nandroid backup of vibrant9 i had taken earlier, the phone went through the restore process with waht appeared to be no problems. After it finished i rebooted from the recovery menu then bammmm. The phone is stuck in a boot loop. Its not a normal boot loop though the initial samsung logo will pop up for a sec then the phone screen will show what looks like tv static for a sec, it just keeps repeating this. To get it to stop i have to pull the battery. Ive tried booting into recovery by holding the volume buttons and the power button, but all that happens is the phone starts into the above mentioned bootloop. As a note whenever i plug the phone up via usb to my computer a grey battery screen pops up but it dosent charge it just sits there, and if i unplug the usb it goes right back into the bootloop. Also my computer will not recognize the phone so using odin seems like a lost cause. I read in a forum for this phone just a bit earlier that its nearly impossible to brick this phone. Have i done the impossible?
Well it sounds like you have hardware locked phone. Also you cannot do a nand restore w/ voodoo enable. That's your problem. There are threads on xda about recovering hardware lock phones. You need to search. If you can get into download mode, you need to flash eugene373's "Froyo that does not brick". Also, once you get phone working, isuggest you keep a disable-lagfix zip on your internal sd.

Great Success
Ok, ok after what seems like a million tries i finally got my vibrant working. After finally getting my vibrant into download mode (by removing the battery, putting the battery back into the phone, holding down both volume buttons and plugging in the phone via usb) i used odin to try and flash back to the factory rom. The flash worked except for an error i noticed when the phone was kicked into factory recovery mode to format itself. There i noticed that at the point when all user data was supposed to be wiped it would have a failure to wipe data. After the flash completed with this error i was able to get past the boot loop. At this point my phone would finish the boot sequence but after the samsung s disappeared the screen would just stay black. However, when ever i pushed any of the soft keys on the front they would light up. So what i did was followed the instructions in the above post and used odin to flash eugenes froyo rom that wont brick. Again the flash would complete but when the phone was kciked into factory recovery mode i got an error and it wouldnt complete it would just hang. So what i did next was use odin to again flash the factory rom and to my surprise it worked. So my vibrant is now restored to its full glory. I owe everything to the patrons of this community. Thanks all.

Went From ICS to Gingerbread--Stuck in Boot Loop. Please Help.

I went from Shostock2 ICS to Shostock Gingerbread--flashed through recovery, everything seemed fine, rebooted a couple of hours later and the phone froze at the "Samsung Galaxy S II" screen. As of now I have NOT been able to get back into recovery though the volume rocker/power method ... Nothing happens at all. Half the time my phone wont boot, period, but if I pull the battery and put it back it will boot the first time into that same screen. Not at home so I can't connect it to my computer but if I can't boot into recovery not sure how I'm going to get my PC to recognize the phone .... (sigh.)
Please advise.
EDIT: Finally managed to get into recovery via volume rocker ... Don't know why it worked this time after failing over and over before. Have reflashed the Gingerbread zip ... Keeping my fingers crossed that it works out.

Boot into recovery and wipe data/factory reset, that should get it to boot after you flash the GB zip!

[Q] Stuck at boot after upgrade Revolution HD

Hey guys,
I just upgraded to Revolution HD 32.0 (coming from 31.0).
Here's what i did.
Boot into recovery.
Clear cache+dalvic-cache.
Install zip from sd-card (select revolution hd 32.0)
Started Aroma installer, left everything pretty much default, just removed some of the samsung junk.
After the install was finished i cleared the cache again and rebooted the device.
It started with the start up logo and after a minute or so "Android upgrading..." with the applications counting.
After that it shows "Finishing boot"
Then nothing, it stays at that for like 5 minutes, then reboots and stays stuck at the samsung logo.
So i decided to boot into recovery, whipe caches and fix permissions and reboot again.
Same thing happened as before.
So i wanted to do a full clean install of the rom, wiping all userdata.
Surprise! Can't get into recovery or download mode anymore.
Took out battery for a few minutes and put it back in.
Still can't access download mode or recovery with vol+menu+pwr...
Does anyone know what's going on, or better, how i can possibly fix this?
I have no idea how to access my device now to make changes...
Thanks a lot!
If you can't get into bootloader with vol down, home and power button then you have a brick, service centre repair required.
Worth trying a USB repair jig to get download before paying for a repair .

Samsung Galaxy S2 not booting

I rooted my phone without any trouble for months, and its been working just fine, until now! Then, I had to do a factory reset. The normal procedure, SETTINGS> PRIVACY> factory reset. The phone then never got past the boot logo. It starts to load, and just gets stuck at the Samsung logo, and nothing else. there's two lights glowing from the capacitive buttons, and that's all. I'm on 4.1.2 JB stock rom. Later, I tried to enter recovery mode, and did a wipe, and cleaned cache partition also. AND, the phone just sprung to life, the whole first time set up thing. I started filling in stuff and the phone just shut down again, and if I tried to reboot again, it doesn't get past boot logo. But if I wipe n do it, it happens but shuts down immediately Please help!!

Boot into download mode, get a stock rom from Samfirmware, flash it with Odin (How ? Thread stickied near top of Q&A).

[Q] Stuck in bootloop and recovery vanished

Ok, so something seems to have gone very wrong with flashing my phone :S
I managed to get recovery working yesterday, and followed the steps in this thread, http://forum.xda-developers.com/xperia-z2/general/4-4-4-creating-rooted-update-package-t2933155 , to create a pre-rooted 5.0.2 image. I put it on the external SD card, booted into recovery and installed the flashable zip, then used flashtool to flash with the instructions (though I also cleared Appslog, Cache and Data to get a fresh install). This went fine and everything appeared to be ok. I then tried to get the Xposed Alpha installed, but after that whenever the phone was rebooting it just hung if trying to boot to Android. I tried re-flashing with Flashtool, but still got the same issue. Would boot fine the first time, but then any restart it would just hang and crash out. Tried clearing the cache from recovery, but no difference.
So today, I went into recovery, re-installed the flashable.zip, then powered off the phone and flashed using flashtool, just as I had yesterday. Now though, my phone wont boot. It shows the Sony logo, then a blank screen, then restarts. Even worse, it will no longer boot into recovery. I hold the volume down button when the LED shows, nothing. I try holding the volume down button all the way through several bootloops, nothing.
I've tried to re-flash using flashtool which goes through the process ok, I can hold the volume down button and connect the cable once its in the process of rebooting, and it goes through all the process fine. It then powers off as expected and I can just disconnect and power on the phone. But it's still stuck in the bootloop and I don't have TWRP recovery.
Is there anything I can do to get my Z2 working?
Update - Re ran flashtool, this time not excluding system, only Partition. It now gets a little further, going to "Powered by Android" and giving the purple wavy lines, but after a minute or so it just hangs and restarts again. And still no recovery sadly....
I think I've got it sorted...
Used Flashboot again to do a flash, excluding System and Partition. This time the phone does boot up normally. The downside being that my root was gone. Despite my flashing a pre-rooted image, it seemed to just put a stock image on. And my recovery is still mysteriously gone.
In the end, just to get things completely back to a stable/stock starting point for later on, I ran a repair from PC Companion. Seems I was in the none rooted position anyway so figured I'd get myself to a more certain position. At least this way I can wait for someone to come up with a root for 5.0.2 so I can root and get recovery back.
