[Solved] Adobe Flash player refuses to work, just shows lego icon. Any ideas? - Galaxy S II Q&A, Help & Troubleshooting

Hoping someone here may have had a similar issue and knows how to solve it.
Adobe Flash player simply does not work. All I get is the lego icon in the middle of the screen.

The phone does not even complain that flash is not installed. I have specifically tried opening a flash video or page without installing the flash player and I get an error that "Adobe Flash Player is not installed." But when I install the flash player, the browser does not do anything.
I'm using Pure ICS Rom by Spike_M. Users of this rom have reported that flash works on their phones, so I can't say that it is because of the rom. Also when I try to install the latest Flash from the market, it says that my phone is not compatible with it.
Anyway, this is the mystical situation I'm in. I have tried different versions of flash, different apk's found on the internet, different browsers, played with libs and permissions, but no result. Appreciate if you could share thoughts. Thanks!

Solved the problem by changind the display density to default 240dpi (it was set to 196 previously) and downloading the Flash player from the market.

I am a strong fan of html5, and also a bigger fan of having one app to do more stuff, instead of more apps having the same functions included in one, like rom toolbox is.
Also this is why I prefer libreoffice instead of msoffice+adobe reader, or html5 youtube instead of flash+opera (luckily chrome has flash built-in)
Flash could also go away from PC, it runs a background pretty cpu hoggy process and slows cpu startup a loooot...
Yes, I am an adobe hater

ok, but how is it going to affect our phones anyway? i dont remember ever using flash even though i had it instlled in cm7. Youtube? its hell laggy with flash, and much smoother with the youtube app. i dont remember anything else. maybe huge flash ads on browser, only to make it crash?
Flash was a good technology, but plugin-free web-brossing is the future (note: plugin doesn't equal add-on, I am all for those)
Good bey Flash
But our Optimus one was not support!

I have changed builds,cm7,cm9,10,Jokers,aokp,epinter, wiped and formated, tried about six different browsers, ck'd browser settings.I tried older versions of flash player. I will get either a black screen, a white screen, or it will try to load then stops.

[Q] Touch issues in Internet-related apps

Hello everyone.
I've recently upgraded my Gingerbread-Based RAZR to ICS. My Rom is middle eastern version by the way.
Everything seems fine except the problem I have with the touch in the Internet browser and Facebook. when I touch a search result in the browser or a picture in Facebook for example, an orange frame appears somewhere else and navigates me to some other link or picture! The thing is, when I hold my finger on the result/picture I tend to open, the orange frame comes to where it should be and the correct link/picture will be opened. This problem only happens with apps related to the internet, and the touch works perfectly fine in any other apps/environments.
I made a factory reset and installed miui rom on my Razr, and no matter how lovely the Miui theme is, the results are the same.
Does anyone else have had a similar issue? Any ideas what should I do?
I have attached a screenshot. Maybe it clarifies my problem.

Galaxy Player 4.0 / YP-G1 bricked

Tried to reflash Galaxy Player 4.0 (YP-G1). But something went wrong. Now it cannot boot (even in Download mode). Seeing only following picture:

Tried UnBrickableResurrectorR40, but still no success. Please help to recover this device.
Technically speaking, this is download mode, it just looks a little different. I would say just try to reflash whatever it was you were trying to flash in the first place. I would not be able to tell you what exactly caused your device to do that (in that case ask zaclimon). It could be that you tried to restore using the U.S or Korean firmware, the connection between the player and your computer could have been interrupted, the flashing tool you use could have been set up incorrectly, or even something that I did not mention. Since your device can at least boot up it is not totally lost. If worst comes to worst, contact the people at mobiletechvideos, they can preform a jaytag repair for $40. Other than that

Reflash the stock ROM, and then flash whatever you were trying to flash.
Exactly as stated about. I believe that this a kind of force download mode in that as you said something went wrong while flashing your gp. Just reflash what you were flashing before as others have stated.
Thanks everyone. Now it works.
