This is a completely different project.... Milestone 4 is Android Open Kang Project, this is Codename Android. AOKP is CM based, CNA is AOSP based.

How does it compare with the aokp v27 rom? in terms of features and stability?
does it come with a kernel? can you flash glitch? if so, which version?

Alright this is already getting out of hand. You can't just ask which ROM is better. People like different things. If I only built ROMs I use everyday I would be building 1 not 3. So flash it and try it out. For the love of all things android please lets keep the stupid questions to a minimum.
As for MMS It didnt work for me when I tested it. I am looking into it to try and find out why thats not working and if I find it there will be a fixed build posted.

Also, nightlies will start very soon (maybe tonight)

That is up to them. I have set up a build server for CNA ROM's, that I build official nightlies on. It's up to ROM devs if they want to.

Got very laggy in a first hour, so i just put it my phone, dont get the chance to back to aokp.
But now everything is normal, no lag or whatsoever.

You should compare different ROMs by trying them out yourself, as others' opinions may or may not match your opinion.
Also, no ROM comes without a kernel. Try out whether you can flash kernels like Glitch by trying them yourself and/or checking with Glitch kernel's official thread.
Keep this thread for reporting bugs and issues, instead of asking questions like what is better and what you can try on it or not..

He asked how it's different in terms of features and stability...perfectly fine question, as it is an objective aspect of the ROM, not an opinion on one ROM preference vs another.

ADB does not see the phone after I installed this rom. Anybody else experiencing this?

Its ok, I think they are grumpy from the lack of sleep working on this rom.

I did not build this Rom. I will just be maintaining it and working some bugs out.
Notta is in the thread here, so please search him out and give him a thanks while your downloading.
Lets show him how the LTE community appreciates his hard work.

Info regarding navigation bar: (Click show content)
The only way Notta could get the navigation bar to work was to enable it by default. So the navigation bar is on by default. This can still be turned on/off by going into System settings/Interface/Powermenu then check the Navigation bar toggle!
If you press the power button, you will then see in the menu a on/off button to turn the navigation bar on and off.
When it's on you'll see the options to modify the navigation bar settings under System settings/Interface/Navigation Bar
When it's off you'll see the hardware remapping options. System settings/Interface/Hardware Keys. If you need to make any changes to hardware remapping, Turn off the navigation bar from power menu, makes the changes, then turn it back on.

Couldn't have said it better myself! :good:
Nice! Was running an unofficial CNA 3.3.1 JB port on my OG Evo before upgrading to the LTE. Been hoping, praying even, that someone would port this to the EvoLTE. Can't wait to try this out.
i didnt flash it yet, but do we have to have those three touch buttons on screen?

No, they are not on by default, but they are included in the ROM options for anyone who does use them. I used the codename android screenshots from the website, so those screenshots are from a galaxy nexus device.

AFAIK, those only appear if/'when the device does not have it's own dedicated buttons. the LTE has it's own, so they shouldn't appear.
Of course thats how it SHOULD be. I'm still waiting for my phone to charge up so i can flash this.
Does this have the option to change notification drop down background?
Sent from my EVO using xda premium
Think im gonna have to give this a go. Glad to see someone finally making an OP that is well laid out and informative instead of just "heres a rom flash it." well done sir.

No it does not, I think AOKP is the only AOSP rom with that option at the moment.

Stupid question, but did you flash GAPPS?
If so, did you flash the GAPPS from OP?
If yes, try to reflash. If still having an issue, try these gapps: http://goo.im/gapps/gapps-jb-20120726-signed.zip
Post back results.
Thanks

General Info & Introduction
Android Open Source Project: Or in short AOSP. Android is an open-source software stack created for mobile phones and other devices. The Android Open Source Project (AOSP), led by Google, is tasked with the maintenance and further development of Android. Many device manufacturers have brought to market devices running Android, and they are readibly available around the world.
Rooting: Android rooting is the process of allowing users of smartphones, tablets, and other devices running the Android mobile operating system to attain privileged control (known as "root access") within Android's subsystem. Rooting is often performed with the goal of overcoming limitations that carriers and hardware manufacturers put on some devices, resulting in the ability to alter or replace system applications and settings, run specialized apps that require administrator-level permissions, or perform other operations that are otherwise inaccessible to a normal Android user.

Very very very very nice! I'm an admitted crack flasher (that didn't sound right) and I gotta tell you, my n7 may have found it's forever rom. Congrats on the absolutely stellar work and I love the redone recentest dialog. Does anyone have a suggestion for a kernel or should I just stick with stock? This rom needs more attention!

Working and looking great so far
The only thing which doesn't work is that if I click on either my channel or subscribed channels on YouTube I'll get a FC.
I'm guessing it's a conflict from this ROM somewhere because I tried previous versions of the app, uninstall/reinstall, clear data, reboot etc and the only time it worked was when I went onto different ROMs.
Other than that though, great work

Thank you, I'll fix soon :fingers-crossed:
Not seeing the downloads in Chrome although they are present in Firefox and IE.
Beta 3 released, have a look at changelog, flash and please provide an apt feedback (very much appreciated).
:good:
Currently testing out Beta 3 after using Carbon for so long. I gotta hand it to you guys, this is a great ROM and it deserves much more attention! I used Beta 1 when I was just starting to flash ROMs on my Nexus 7, and it was pretty radical!
My only problem is that while using the stock kernel, my battery dropped 9% while just in deep sleep mode from about 11:30 p.m. to 6:10 a.m. yikes! I can't seem to figure out what caused it either.
next rom after cyanogen, ive liked. very solid and high quality thing) want to become your grouper beta tester and can help with translation to Russian language

I want this rom to be the go to for a CLEAN AOSP experience. Ultimate battery, performance and reliability OUT OF THE BOX, that's the goal of the rom. I picked the source that impressed me the most to do add my own layer of optimizations over it, tailor made for our device and it's hardware, more than a bot building the same source for 15 different devices. This rom may not be for those who feel the need to flash nightlies and even weeklies as I will always pick refinement over the addition of features. The base will only be updated when a new version is proven to be as clean as current version and when time allows it. To those who like the sound of it, you're in for for something great
There will be TWO changelogs for ONE rom. First, the source changelogs you can find in first post. Second, for my own layer of additions/fixes/tweaks: W03Tweaks
4.3 Known Bugs:
* Known CM 10.2 bugs
* The rest.. Ace!
4.4 Known Bugs:
* Known CM 11 bugs

For a long time I have refused any kind of donation and Beanstalk kept taking more and more time in my life. I will always do it for fun and for free, never expecting anything out of it but donations will go torward my andoid fund, next step is the Note 3
If every user gave just a dollar for the work I do the Note 3 would be paid and BeanStalk + W03Tweaks will get rolling on it!!!
DONATE TO THE BEANSTALKVILLE FUND

I am not responsible for borked phones, your howling cats and dogs, or the weather. If you flash this rom, it is AT YOUR OWN RISK.
And be sure to flash Gapps if you want the play store. Also, I am by no means a developer. And these are initial builds, they will more than likely have bugs. Help along the way is always welcome. And don't forget to thank the sources!

Should I flash now or wait for your update with the camera in? (Depends on how much time it'll take for you to get the camera working.)

Can anyone confirm if video recording and Youtube are working?
Thanks patch_Adams! If I just cache and dalvik wipe, then flash this over your preview Rom, and after having backed up Camera and Gallery apks, should I be good to restore those?
Edit: Just checked my downloaded file and I see that camera2 apk is in the Rom. Is a working camera included now?
FYI, Bookmarks don't sync, it did in Alpha (unless I'm doing something wrong)

you get speed, stability, and ultra customization ability. Many of the additional code additions came from slim ROM and also Derteufels build and have been modified to work with my current setup. A huge thanks to Derteufel and the Slim ROM guys for their work and dedication. Also a big thanks to everyone involved with CM as that is the building stone in this project. Thanks to skyliner33v for the bootanimation and upcoming wallpapers!

Im going to say this once and only once... I am doing this for fun. It is my CHOICE to share my work with everyone. If you decide that you do not like my work, good for you.. So your interested in Building/Porting for another device?! Follow this guide! **Please make sure to give proper credits and Use the layout i have in the first post.** - If you need assistance, please send me a PM, do NOT post questions in this thread. I may open a general porting/building thread in another section depending on how this goes. You must have some general experience/knowledge in this area to complete this. Building from Linux platforms. In particular Ubuntu 10.04
If you have building/development concerns or issues, Please visit the BeanStalk Development Thread to avoid cluttering this thread.
Setup to build - This section can be skipped if youve ever built anything before. This is for first time build setup.
1. From your root terminal location, type the following: sudo apt-get install curl git-core gnupg flex bison gperf libsdl1.2-dev libesd0-dev libwxgtk2.6-dev squashfs-tools build-essential zip curl libncurses5-dev zlib1g-dev sun-java6-jdk pngcrush schedtool g++-multilib lib32z1-dev lib32ncurses5-dev lib32readline5-dev gcc-4.3-multilib g++-4.3-multilib
2. Type: mkdir ~/bin
3. Type: PATH=~/bin:$PATH
4. Type: curl https://dl-ssl.google.com/dl/googlesource/git-repo/repo > ~/bin/repo
5. Type: chmod a+x ~/bin/repo
From terminal
1. type 'cd'. This will bring you to your root folder.
2. type 'mkdir beanstalk'. This will create a folder named beanstalk.
3. type 'cd beanstalk'. This will take you to the beanstalk directory created from previous step
4. type 'repo init -u git://github.com/scotthartbti/android.git -b cm-10.1'. This will setup the folders to be synced.
5. type 'repo sync'. This will sync the folders to your beanstalk directory. Note - This will take some time depending on internet connection. Be patient!
6. After the repo sync finally finishes, all you need to do is add your device, kernel, vendor specific files for the device you are building for. (You must know what these are, dont bother asking me if your not sure.)
7. Make sure all your device specific files are setup as if you were going to build for CM.
8. Outside of terminal, navigate to beanstalk/vendor/cm. Double click on the get-prebuilts file and select run in terminal. This will fetch necessary files needed to build and place them where they need to be.
9. Type '. build/envsetup.sh && brunch "device name"'
10. Previous step will start building beanstalk for your device. The process takes anywhere from 1 - 3 hours depending on your computer.
11. Once completed, it will say package complete and you will have a beanstalk named zip file in your out folder.
oh my god, your the best!
I'll test it right now and report later.
Thanks a lot bro.
