Class 4 SanDisk 32 GB microSDHC $23.31 - Barnes & Noble Nook Tablet

Saw this price for a Class 4 SanDisk 32 GB microSDHC - $23.31 on Amazon today. That's a sweet, sweet price. http://www.amazon.com/SanDisk-microSDHC-Flash-Memory-SDSDQM-032G/dp/B004G60AD6/ref=pd_rhf_cr_shvl7

That it is! Thanks for the link. I just bought two.

it's back up to $28

I missed it too. $28 bucks not bad though. The list price kills me $90.99. Yeah right

It still shows as $23.31 for me.

Thanks for the update just picked up a pair

$23.31 + $4.99 shipping
price is $28.30 anyway

Dollar cost average

Price went back up. But found 16gb for less than 10bucks. I figured I'd get two of those and one 32gb before I deploy. Enough room for all the books and movies and games or whatever i need to keep me busy

great news. i can't get it with this price in my country

Can you measure the speed via USB mass storage, transferring a movie for instance, from/to PC, please?

Read some of the low-star reviews on Amazon. It sounds like quite a few bad cards from this seller. Several also commented that it doesn't come in retail packaging, so no warranty from SanDisk if it goes bad.

This is a great price for this card. I had a class 6 16gb card in my phone and decided to get one of these as all the reviews indicated they where as good as a class 6 and all the class 10 32gb seemed to be hit or miss.
Card is working great in my phone and with using sd tools to test speeds it is getting class 6 speeds
I bought my for $28 wish I could have found this deal

Wintec's 32GB Class 10 card works perfectly in my NT, and I had it in my MT4GS for a while. What would also work is the card I currently have in my MT4GS (see forum signature).

WinTek cards from Frys are cheap & work very well. Sometimes you can find Patriot 32GB Class 10 for 80ish if you're willing to spend a little more at Frys also.
I'm currently using the Transcend 8GB class 6 in all of my devices, speeds are pretty good so far - they are around $15-20 including a SD adapter.

I went with Transcend as well - $52 on Amazon for 16gb class 6: http://amzn.to/i9fNPa
I'm ordering a couple of these (from NewEgg) for my TF:
WINTEC FileMate 16GB Professional Class 10 Secure Digital SDHC Card
Can't link yet, so just search for "N82E16820161396" from the main NewEgg site. Price seems good; $23.99.

Unless you have the keyboard dock already, and with the way that's been going thats doubtful

Wow! You are correct, sir. Major brain fart on my part. Hadn't hit the confirm order button so was able to save myself the headache.
I am currently using the Wintec 16gb class 10 and they are fine. Speeds are way above 10mb per second write. I get up to 12 mb per sec write and 17mb per sec read.
Polaroid 16GB from Fry's is $17.99 this week after rebate. Bad news is mine just died today in my N1 (error check fails / can't format). Good news is that it's lasted in my daily driver phones for the last two years. Considering I used it for swap while I had a G1 I'm surprised it didn't die sooner. Not a bad deal if you regularly backup your SD.

I have this card in my HTC EVO (should work with any device though) and pretty happy with it, its fast and cheap!
Patriot Signature 16 GB Class 10 MicroSDHC Flash Memory Card
Its definitely a class-10, the videos and pictures play and save pretty quickly compared to the stock card that came with the htc evo.
Can someone recommend a good (aka fast) 32GB micro sd card? I'm not concerned with cost. I'd rather just spend the money up front than worry about whether or not the card is too slow. Also, is there a nice comparison chart of 32GB cards with read/write speeds of various class cards?
Thx
EDIT: Well, I'm a bit confused. Which SD format does the tablet actually support? SD or SDHC? I would like to get the largest, fastest card.
MicroSDHC should work just fine.

Sandisk 32GB micro at Amazon...

This is a pretty darn good price for a 32GB micro sdhc! Also being Sandisk brand, they usually go for more. It doesn't specify what class it is, but its probably class 4? Anyways, its only $56 and eligible for Prime shipping! The msrp is $138 on the official website. Sweet!
Here's the official link on Sandisk's page...http://www.sandisk.com/products/mobile-memory-products/sandisk-microsdhc
EDIT: I guess this card is a Class 2, according to one of the reviewers at Amazon. They also said it performed very well though.

I use one of those for my evo, it works fine. Then again the evo came with a class 2 card so theres no reason why it wouldn't, its just initially putting stuff on there takes more time, read speeds are totally adequate for a phone.
I think the quality of the sandisk cards are great, I have a three year old 8gb in my tablet right now and it works flawlessly. That is a great price, but it seems kind of slow given current options out there. I'm probably going to buy a 16gb class 10. This patriot one seems like a good deal.
That patriot card is great. I actually have it in my tf right now. I've done speed tests on it that came out pretty high. There is an app you can use called 'sd tools' in the market. Good card for the price!

I bought the Sandisk 32GB Class 4 version from Amazon for the price. It works great and when I watch 1080p movies there is no stuttering
Transcend make good cards too, for cheaper. I've been using a 16GB Class 10 SD with my camera for 5 months and haven't had a problem.
Although I haven't put it in a Transformer yet, I have the SanDisk 32GB microSD and through my SD card reader on a mac it tests at 5.1mb/s write, 13.9mb/s read.
Sandisk speeds
If the card is really slow, and it was cheap, it could be a fake, but don't jump to conclusions quite yet. I once bought a 16gb Class 10 SDHC card, and when I couldn't achieve the 30mb/s read (or anywhere near it) I contacted Sandisk.
I then spent the next week or so sending them pictures, serial numbers and other details such as where I bought it from and it took them a surprising amount of time to confirm whether it was genuine.
Once confirmed it was genuine, although I had a new sandisk multi-card reader, I had to get a specific sandisk sdhc only reader to achieve the fabled 30mb/s. Sandisk allowed me to send my current one to them and they sent me out one that would work to it's maximum capacity.
All this, just to say you can't trust the speed tests you get from windows or osx, as even when you have genuine cards and genuine readers, sometimes there's more to it than that. When I contacted Sandisk I mentioned that they should make it more clear, as nowhere do they say that you need specialist readers to get the best speeds!

[Q] Micro SD Card Size or Speed?

Hey what do you guys think? I can get a either a 16GB Class 10, or a 32GB class 4 for the same price. Does a class 10 really make much difference on a phone? If this was for my DSLR Camera it'd be different. So just curious what everyone's thoughts are. Thanks In Advance!
P.S. The Price is $60. However I work at Best Buy and know i get a discount im just not sure what it is yet...
I was wondering the same thing?
I would think the class 4 32gb would be fine with the Evo 3D, but i could be wrong
What brands? Not all brands are the same.
I just purchased a Sandisk 32GB class 4. I mainly use my storage for music/pics.
I use a Sandisk 32gb class 2 I believe, it may be a class 4. Used it in my Evo4G and now my 3D. I run most of my apps and games off of it, never had an issue. Never any lag, just as fast as a class 6 I used by some off brand. Sandisk is known for having speeds faster then what they are rated, alot of no-name brands are just the opposite though.

Kingston 16GB class 10 for about $55
Kingston 32GB Class 4 for about $50
PNY 16GB Class 10 for about $30
16GB Class 4
I just went through this same thing.... The card that came with the phone was class 4. I downloaded SD Tools from the market and did a speed test. My goal was to ensure that whatever card I got had at least the same read/write speeds as the stock card.
Out of 3 tests on the stock class 4 card the highest results were 7.0MB/s write and 16.9MB/s read.
I went to Frys and bought a 16GB class 4 card (I think it is WINTEC, but will double check) for $19.99. Figured I could return it if the speeds weren't up to par.
Out of 3 tests with this class 4 card, all came back with 11.0MB/s write and 19.2MB/s read.
I decided to go with 16GB first to see if I would really fill it up. Sure, I would love 32GB of storage but when do I really need ALL my music on my phone at one time and how many movies do I really need on hand? I figure I will still use my PC as the ultimate storage device and then sync down about 4GB of music and maybe 3-4 movies at a time... still leaving room for some camera pics. If I find I am running out of space I will then upgrade to a 32GB card.
Hope this helps!
I ordered the Lexar 32GB class 10 microSDHC from tigerdirect today - $55 (approx $6 for shipping *and* tax) today. It retails around $90 at amazon

Only problem is that it is expected to ship in late August... hope they don't cancel it by then
I'm using sandisk 16g class 2 card that come with my Droid X. I do get lag sometimes playing 1080p vids, although rare.. If I don't skip around a lot then no problems at all. I don't consider it a nuisance enough to throw away any class 2 cards but enough to make class 4 my new min requirement.

Micro SD card suggestions?

I have the Adata 16GB Class 10 from newegg. Works really well.
i got a 16gb sandisk from amazon...pretty cheap.... im sure its a generic one but never had a problem with generics
I've used the 16gb class 10 Wintec Filemate. I tested it with hw2test (forgot the exact name), and it turned up 12 mb/s writing and nearly 20 mb/s reading. So it's definitely a class 10 and performs higher than its class actually. It's worked well for the past year, and is generally around 25-30 bucks on Amazon.
Try checking out Amazon's prices, they're usually pretty good. You can get a 16GB card for as low as $16 and a 32gb starting around $40. I usually stick with Sandisk; haven't had a problem yet. They're usually a bit more, but the reviews tend to be high. I went with a 32gb-- class 4 to keep the price down-- but I think I'm gonna go with an Ultra model (15 mb/s) when I get a 32GB SD card for the dock. I have one in 2GB and side by side, it's like tortoises (not the fast ones on youtube) and hares. And with recent price drops, it'll be cheaper!
I appreciate the replies. Is there a major difference between a class 10 and a class 4?

Could you please provide inputs on the speed you achieve using a C10 on the TF? (File transfer, app launches, etc?)
I got a 32G Class 4 Sandisk off Amazon for ~$50. Works great. Sustained write is somewhere around 6 MB/sec.

You might want to check you are actually getting the full 32gb capacity on that card. There are a lot of fakes on Ebay that show up in Windows etc as the size stated but if you actually try to copy that amount to the card it fails.
Ive had great luck with both my aData and Sandisk 32gig cards. One is a class 2 and one is a class 4.
One thing to note with classing of cards is pretty much any card will be fast enough to operate with the TF. Playing videos and holding data for programs. The Class only refers to write speed, so its how fast you can put data on the card. This will primarily come into play when copying large files to the card. If you arent worried about that as much then you could save some money passing on higher classed cards.

Using TeraCopy to copy a big movie file to the Adata class 10, I got a constant speed of 16MB/s. Reading is a little bit slower, around 14-15MB/s.
Does the microSD SDHC TF Memory work with the transformer or would only the regular microSD without the HC work?
Can someone link me to a decently priced 16gb one on ebay?
Thanks

Samsung 32gb Class 10 $35!

As the title says, Fry's Electronics has a Samsung 32gb class 10 micro sdhc card for $35 right now!
I don't know how long they'll have 'em for so I suggest you head to your local Fry's asap if you're interested in picking one up. Maybe call in advanced to see if they're in stock.
Just bought a SanDisk Class 4 from Amazon for $30 not too long ago, oh well. Really good find anyway. The white Samsung SDs would be interesting looking...
If I were in your shoes I would probably just sell that card and get the class 10 card instead, but that's just me.
Nah, I'd be losing more money than the gains would be worth. Class 10 isn't always the fastest.
I bought this!
I bought that (from a different website but the same brand and type of card) and I used some BS method that involved writing a file to the memory card, to Root my nook & it didn't work (shocker) now, I am stuck with these written files. How do I get it unwritten?
Unwritten to the SD card? Just format it.
The samsung 32GB class 10 microsd is plenty fast with the capability of running gamecube backups through the wii at full speed. Performance on the tablet is also flawless, granted i have not tested any other card but a pny 8GB class 4 which the samsung beat the crap out of.
This is a pretty impressive card for $36.50 (amazon)
Oops.
Unfortunately there are no Fry's on the east coast.
