PowerAmp - Optimus One, P500, V General

because that's the way it's supposed to be.You can notice that even at your audio system home.If you can turn off the bass and you'll see that sound from other speakers will improve.
Anyways,I use power amp too,in my opinion it's the best.the volume reduces in order to not ruin the sound by adding pledges. You can turn off the limit by pressing limit button and move up the first channel from equalizer bar.Your sound will be very distorted.
Extreme bass and those things are especially for good headphones. It's obviously you can't feel the bass or something on a phone ))

Thanks downloaded, tried & uninstalled!
Volume + Does a better job IMO...
Haven't tried it for the headset, however for the speaker I found Volume + to be clearer and louder.
As far as headsets, haven't given it a try but Volume + works amazingly well with my Desire HD!
Any1 else have any input on DSP vs Volume +?
Yeah I have some input. Volume + is a totally different kind of app that has nothing to do with bass, treble or graphic equalizer. Volume + sets your ring tones, notification tones, etc. DSP manager is for making your music or video sound better, not making ringtones louder..

Thanks, I need to play with it some, but it's nice to have some control over the sound.

Went back and compared both once again (this time with a headset!).
What I noticed:
As you stated above, Volume + makes everything LOUD. In my ears that's a good thing, and why I choose to apply it to my loud speakers.
As for headsets... Volume+ is less customizable in terms of eq, however it still has a very commendable range of modifiers. I went with Volume+ in the end simply because it was simply louder whilst still maintaining clarity at lower volumes.
As for Bluetooth devices... don't use so couldn't tell.
At the end of the day... Listening to audio on the Flyer isn't so great... Lots of Hiss and distortion. Voodoo is MUCH better, unfortunately its only available on the SGS.
So... I will not be using the Flyer for listening to music unless absolutely required!
not to bad if you have a decent headphones
I use my flyer everyday to listen to music and podcast and its not that bad. A set of great headphones makes a huge difference. Got me an ATH-M50 using spotify and the audio is not bad. No lossless mind you but no hiss or cracks you speak of. Been wanting to make play with the equalizer but spotify doesn't give you much options. I think this is a great app for people who wants more control of the sound not just loud. However was thinking about getting a headphone amp for that. Fiio E11.
Running Jellybro 20120814 (maguro) and tried it with Spotify.
It did not work.
Still looking for an equalizer that affects the output not the internal Android API channels or what ever...
Any Idea someone?

How Sensitive Is the Volume Control in the Stock Music Player?

Hi all,
I have a question about the S2. I have the SR and I use the stock music player to listen to music while studying.
I used to have an iphone which was an awesome music player but I find the SR has one huge problem I never had with my iphone. On the iphone, you could control what the max volume was and there were plenty of intermediate settings in the middle.
On the SR, once I get to the 3rd level of loudness (0= mute, 1= 1 press of the up volume key) it is ridiculously loud to the point where it literally hurts my ears and i like loud music. So basically I have 2 options of volume and the sweet spot is always somewhere in the middle.
I'm using the stock iphone headphones because i like the way they fit and the in-line remote. I think these have pretty low resistance so I get why the volume gets loud quickly but it's ridiculous to only have 2 usable volume levels.
Does the S2 have this same problem? If not I will definitely look into switching.
Thanks!

[Q] App for battery and music

Whats the best app and setting, know its plenty of other topics about it, so please link me to a good one
And i have heard its apps for getting the sound a bit better? if so what apps is recommended?
have you tried using poweramp? it has an equalizer which you could try tweaking
Battery Spy & Poweramp. Search the Market tho. YMMV with any app.
Battery Monitor + Poweramp
+1 for Battery Monitor and Poweramp
I find Power Amp lowers the default sound level .
personal use on a phone with good sound level is
MixZing player
Settings are equalizer on set to flat smooth off
with Vol + free app settings .
headset speaker on virtual room on
settings
EQ flat
Vol Level +3
Bass +2
Virtual room +4
Normal sound level in player is about 25% .
jje
Battery Monitor + PlayerPro Music Player
+1 battery monitor/ playerpro
PowerAMP is eargasmic once you've had a play around with settings.
Disclaimer: My opinion is not liable if you damage your ears to awesome music quality over long periods of use!
louder sound through headphones - voodoo louder
Poweramp + Good earphones
Poweramp sounds great with the stock earphones (those that come in the retail box) and I guess it would sound even more awesome with a better pair of earphones.
Thanks for all the replies! The battery monitor, from who? Whats the author? It is multiple apps called "battery monitor" hehe. I will check out the different sound apps listed

[Q] Sound Quality, Sound Clear, how?

Hey mates.
I wanted to ask you some questions:
1 - Is there any way to make the sound off XMP10 better and more clear?
Example: when playing songs in any music player, i note that the instruments are loud and "almost" clear but...The vocals don't hear that much, the instruments are louder than the vocals making the vocals not very clear to hear. I'm using Gingersony v06, and to hear music i use the original Sony Erickson Earphones, before those earphones i was using MX170 by sennheiser and the results were almost the same about the Quality/Clear Sound.
2 - Is GB sound worse ( in quality and in being with clear vocals ) than the original Eclair?
If someone has already tested both quality sounds, please tell me if it's better to go back to the original Eclair to have better quality sound and to have More Clear Vocals in playing songs, or if it's just the same thing and then i stay with GB.
Thank you for your time , all good answers will be rewarded with a press in the Thanks Button
Maybe try equalizer/DSP manager?
That's should help i think

What option should i enable to make the vocals more clear without losing the instruments EQ?, because a change in EQ will affect 'all' the the sound itself when the idea is just to make things more clear but the sound must stay the same way, not more bass not more meds and not more highs, just staying the same but more clear. I use Mixzing to hear music and it also has an EQ, but no matter what settings of EQ i add, the vocals will always be not clear :S .
Thanks for answer

Increase the right side of eq bars (a little)
or use pre existing options

yes i know, but the problem is always the same: Vocals not clear :S. If i change the EQ the sound will become weird because three things happen: If i add more bass the sound will become deep and the volume will have to be much lower / adding more med frequencies will make sound more rocky but in a weird way / adding more highs will make the sound not good to be heard although the volume can be more Up.
So what i generally do is a balance of them: less bass, normal meds, little up on the highs. But it doesn't sound that good :S
This doesn't have anything to do with volume of frequencies but yes with the 'quality' of them, because no matter the changes are, the results will be almost the same about the 'clear' of the sound :S.
Ps: Eclair is the same as GB in sound quality/volume?.
Or maybe i'm just used to be hearing Clear Rocky sounds 'being a rocker myself' and therefore giving more importance and being more concentrated about this thing, because normally people only listen to music and f... the rest xD, making me a little petty xD.
Ps: I just listen to songs in my pc with the sony ericksson earphones and the vocals were clear, so the problem is not eq, it's in the 'quality' :S

[Q] Xperia Z2 volume through earphones very low

Experienced the same issue with my xperia zl...is there any fix for this

Same. Is it normal that music is soft through earpiece? Unrooted by the way.

I managed to increase it a bit from the the Sound Menu in Settings.
I used the Sound Enhancement and changed the equaliser sliders.
I also later install Player Pro and Poweramp. Both gave better and louder sound.
The equaliser had a preamp slider to increase
Fixed Xperia Z2 headphone volume -NO ROOT-
You can increase your headphone volume on xperia z2 dramatically, before i used this method my volume was constantly on 100% because it was too low,and now it's on 60% because it is too high and the best of all is that quality is untouched. This method is very easy...First of all download app called volume booster. Now your walkman settings should look like on the pics i uploaded before you start using the app (I hope they did im new on this site and im on my phone lol) ok so go to walkman/settings/ and do the SAME settings as i have on pics. When you'r done with that take your headphones plug them in play some song,go to volume booster and and move volume button in app from maximum to minimum and without releasing the button move it to the maximum(your button should barely touch the minimum sound so do it fast ---> From max to minimum without releasing than to the maximum and release button, you will hear sound like you do when you press volume up for call volume) if volume after that sound doesnt increase do it more times until the volume isn't VEEERY loud.I do it every time when listening to song it's not hard as it sound you will get used to it,it will pay off trust me Love my xperia z2 now ^^ (settings are in croatian but that isnt importnant just uncheck clear audio go to equaliser and max out evertything and turn on DSEEHX( CRUCIAL STEP)
Even simpler solution... Use viper4Android from here:good:
