No case yet. Went to Best Buy and their selection was horrible. Everything is too small. I'm still using the PDair from the X10 but it just doesn't look right.
I have a Samsonite case (a simple belt clip one, but rather strong) that I have left over from my X10.
I'm not sure if the demensions are okay for the Xperia S, as (yes i know its a bit dumb) I am not sure the exact dimensions the phone :/

That case is more like the "bag" type. They have one in the Sony store made by stm, but this http://store.sony.com/webapp/wcs/st...toreId=10151&langId=-1&partNumber=STMDP030001 is the one im talking about. Its been backordered for a while now, though its showing an estimated ship date of 11/16 now! Too long of wait for me.

I noticed one of the photos is a misrepresentation. The one that's positioned so you can type. We know the screen doesn't rotate when you have the thick part of the tablet at the bottom.

Thanks for posting this, I have been looking as well. I noticed the first case you mention got a 4 star review on Amazon, one star removed because the case blocks the IR. Please let us know if that issue is present on this case as well. If not, I'll order that one too.

Going by one of the pictures, the opening for IR seems to be very big (instead of a pin hole). That's why I went with this one. We'll see.

I just got the ultra slim version, and I have to twist the tablet at an odd angle to use the IR feature. I'm going to return it.

I don't know if it helps, but on aliexpress some sellers have tempered glass for the camera. I know it's not exactly what you are looking for, but it's a good start as I believe the actual camera glass will be quite hard to find.

Oh no, I was thinking about me ordering and of course paying it but sending it to your house. My issue is not having a delivery address. Actually my gf just told me that we are going to Cherating in a couple of weeks after going to Borneo.
mine cracked too after falling out my pocket as I was sitting on the floor to the concrete ( I purchased the replacement from aliexpress but hopefully it's easy to install. Do you just pry the old one out using a tweezer because it's just hold together by 3m tape right?

You don't need to open your phone.
The procedure is pretty much the same as this: OnePlus 3/3T cracked camera glass replacement
If you act carefully it should work ok
I'm soon returning my mate 20 pro and have ordered a mate 20x to replace it. I purchased some plastic screen protectors (never opened) that are meant to work with the fingerprint sensor and a clear case that I will no longer need after I post it back. If anyone wants them if you will cover the postage they are yours.
screen protectors cost me £7.99 from amazon I think case was £4
If your in the UK I guess around £2 postage should cover it. Will post around 1st of december. Let me know if your interested.

It says it doesn't ship until April. I'm also interested in this case despite the high price tag.
I had one for Pixel 2 XL, I backed the original Kickstarter campaign. It was a let down - it was very thick and bulky, and it didn't even fit right down one side of the device - there was visible 'bowing' and a small gap there. I raised a support case with Dbrand but they refused to refund saying it was by design. Put me off a bit! It was one of the first ones released so maybe they're better now, but I wouldn't buy one again/take the risk as you probably won't be able to return it.
Ordered and cancelled. Will wait and am interested. I did get a notification won't ship until April few weeks ago.
Pretty miffed that they'd advertise this at such an early stage. Pre-orders... Advertise when it's within a week of shipping at least. No further.

I get it on pre-order in April. If feel good in the hand and it's a quality product.
Is this case really that "grippy" on the sides? A lot say they are but when I get them they are just as slippery as the next.

I would not call this case grip. It not more grippy than the official OP cases.

I felt the same until I used it for a couple of weeks. Coming from the case that was included with the McLaren edition, it felt slick at first but after being in my pocket for a while and getting my fingers all over it the sides feel pretty grippy. Just had to let the newness wear off.

Grip case impressions
I've been using the grip case for about a month. The case is very sturdy and comfortable to hold. Highly recommend getting a skin for the grip as the back of the grip gets scratched pretty easily. The phone feels a bit bulky after you use with the case, but you get used to it. Protection wise, it's very good. They've flattened the middle portion of the case where it meets the screen, hence it is easy to use. I've dropped the phone a number of times and there's been no damage yet.

I have sweaty oily hands, and the silicone case that came with the phone was not ideal for me. The back of that case is very smooth, so used to slip a lot. But haven't faced any such problems with this so far

Kind of but not by me. The chinese manufacturers made this case which is what my one was going to be but my one was going to have the plunger on the back screen and no cover for the front.

I bought the original version of this which didnt come attached to a bumper(you were expected to remove the bumper and stick it with the adhesive strip the case came with. But that adhesive was weak and kept on unsticking.
This new design they've made integrated with the bumper seems better but I think they should use magnets instead of a plunger because sometimes it's worrying how much it pulls on the screen before it pops off.
For the moment my case of choice is this one in black, I just take it out when I want to unfold. But it allows the back to be used while the case is on which is what I ultimately wanted. You just tap through the case since there's no hole which is what I wanted and taps work as normal
