Smart tags included in retail box? - Sony Xperia P, U, Sola, Go

Guys let me know if anyone has s,art tags included in the box!
Many say they got and many say they didnt!
Please post here regarding it!
Thank you

Two Tags, Home (Red) & Bedroom (Black). It might depend on the market that the phone is released in btw. I bought mine from Kuwait.

Thats what i am asking atleast we people will get to know which market has got and which hasnt!!

Depends on where you get it from. In my Singapore set, it didn't include the smart tags or leather pouch, but I have a voucher to pick them up on the 18th.
However, the MRT (subway) stations here already have NFC smart tags to help you book a taxi, etc.

I am afraid India wont get it!!
:'(

I bought mine in Singapore and it didn't come with the smart tags. However, there is a redemption coupon in the box that can be used to redeem the tags later when they are available in Singapore.

How many tags will you get in Singapore ? Please let us know.

In Poland, they ship Xperia S without Smart Tags.
Leather pouch and HDMI cable are included though.

In France, they ship Xperia S without Smart Tags and leather pouch.
And we didn't get any redemption coupon for the Smart Tags either.

So almost everywhere smart tags are missing!!

The redemption coupon is for 1 pair of smart tags. That means 2.

2 tags in Singapore....

UK retailers Clove and Handtec are offering 4x Smartags but they aren't shipping the phone yet.

Malaysia offer 1 tag for free

I ordered from Clove and wonder if their 4X offer means they are giving additional 4 to whatever Sony already includes in the box.

Here in Lebanon they sell it with the red and black tags

Not even all markets are including tags in the box, so it's probably just 4 in total.

Where to buy Smart Headset and Smart Tags

I live in Canada
I am looking to buy the Sony Smart Headset (not the wireless) and Smart Tags
Sony Mobile Canada and USA do not have them for sale. Sony Mobile UK does but they do not ship to Canada. Clove UK has the Smart Tags but not the Smart Headset.
I am looking for somewhere that has them both and will ship to Canada... any suggestions?
Thanks

In all honesty unless you really want the Sony tags I would save yourself some money and get some standard NFC tags and code them up to act like the Sony ones. Will be a fraction of the cost.
I have four Xperia Tags came iwth my phone new and unused as I already had a pair. Willing to sell for 6GBP + 3GBP Postage.
Il take them if his not interested?

US Buyer Reccomendation

I am in the US looking to buy one of these. Any recommended sellers?
From xperia blog they recommend Clove and Handtec from the UK. Handtec seems cheaper (vs ebay for perhaps better returns/warranty).
I'd appreciate any recommendations from people here who have purchased.
Handtec sells for $572. Ebay is closer to $540
If I do get it from ebay (from taiwan or HK), could I run into issues with languages?

I got one from clove. No issues.
Sent from my Nexus 5X
I purchased mines at Plemix for $520 + $28 shipping. Also purchased a Z1 compact there with no problems. Shipping was within 2 days so that's a plus. Currently, there's a free 32 GB memory card special until the end of the month. Haven't really had any issues with them and never really contacted customer service so I can't say anything about that. Not too sure about the returns/warranty but there's info about that on their website.
Thanks. Although from some quick research on Plemix I see some mixed reviews. I'm sure most of these places online are fine if everything goes smoothly. Its really when something goes wrong (ie. item arriving damanged, DOA) to see how it is handled.
I've also noticed that Amazon UK has it for cheaper than Clove and Handtec. The Xperiablog article said AmazonUK does not allow VAT to be excluded but it was excluded when I added it to the cart. Actually, I notice I can buy directly on Amazon US for around $540. I might just do that.

Isn't the one listed on amazon from third party retailers like expansys? I wonder how they handle returns just in case.. any idea??
I got mine from Amazon for $550 and received it next day thanks to Prime shipping. No issues.
I ended up ordering through amazon as well. I decided to save $10 and get the non-prime option. Although I ordered it Friday and it came today. I just wasnt at home to sign for it. (Missed the guy by 10min)
I think the only issue will be if I need to send it back for warranty. I'll have to pay shipping both ways to Hong Kong or Taiwan or wherever the phone originated from.

I live in Australia and have bought the z1 and z3 compact from Clove UK, have bought other tech from Handtek, had no problems or issues with using Australia cell provider, support or anything. I now have the z5 compact which I bought from ebay Quality Deals Store on Ebay when ebay had 20% off store wide recently, got it delivered for a bargain $600 AUD. The phone came quick, set it up in English easy and it works on Australian networks etc. Couldn't be happier ☺
Amazon was perfect for me. These past two weeks has it seldom carry the Z5c as Prime... usually a seller ships some 10 devices to Amazon's warehouses (to be categorized as Prime) but those fly off the shelves. In the past two weeks I have seem some 60 Z5c as Prime to disappear within hours, but if you look daily, they are there.
If you are in the US, at $550 Prime is worth it over ebay's $540 in my opinion; faster shipping and 30 days possibility to return it.
do you need amazon prime account for it? is this different from 3rd party sellers on amazon?

Buying in China?

I'm going to the Beijing area later this month. I'm thinking about picking up an Amazfit in a store. It should be easy enough to change it into English firmware or PACEify it.
Has anyone bought it in a store in China? I wonder which stores are selling it - any electronics store or just Xiaomi branded stores and what price to expect?
Don't know what price are at in China but I got mine online for $104 us dollars.
I'm Europe based, and in order to avoid VAT and admin. fees by importing from US or China-based online webshops I have to buy through Europe-based resellers - and then the price is something like >$200 according to my research. So it would just be easier (cheaper), when I am in China to buy one there if possible.

I'm based in europe and the price I paid was £82 from gearbest and also geekbuying (I bought 2 amazfits).
You don't pay any VAT or admin tools from either of those retailers if you just choose the standard delivery method,.

I'm in Denmark. So gearbest ship from within the EU? Maybe I'll look it up.
Though still traveling to China so if anyone have information about getting one of these out there let me know.
Check with some aliexpress seller (sort by number of orders) and ask them from what town they are. Maybe you will be near them, so you can make personal deal. Or just order from aliexpress and put the adress for delivery where you will be in that time. Easy as that
You can do same with Gearbest/geekbuyibg, etc.

Yes gearbest ship to the EU. Though recently I've had a better experience with geekbuying (their shipping was much faster)
I think buying online would actually end up being less hassle than buying in China, and I'm not convinced there would be a huge saving anyway. At least with buying online you have some protection and after sales support.

No they are not shipping from the EU, but they have found a way to avoid for you to pay taxes.
Probably won't last after brexit, as it is rumored that they ship via UK and then avoid taxes at all.
Just a short update. I ended up buying Amazfit Pace from the Xiaomi store in the shopping mall 'Modern Plaza' (https://goo.gl/maps/ETduKM7SLcw) in Beijing. Easily accessed by the subway.
The unit price was 799 Yuan. No problems by installing English firmware and updating to 1.3.4f.
I did look for it other places but couldn't find it anywhere. I found most resellers only had a few Xiaomi phones and sometimes more simpler fitness trackers.

Any way to pre-order in the US?

Is there any website that would ship to the US? I really wish I could jump on the deal on the UK that comes with free watch GT and free wireless charger but I know that won't happen but is there at least a website that would sell the phone and ship to the US? Or we are stuck with having to wait months until they start showing up on swappa and ebay?

Thanks! I thought about it again an since I would not qualify for the free gift it would be $1,180 for literally just the phone since the supercharge 2.0 would not be compatible with US plug. Being able to charge 70% in 30 minutes was one of the big pros for buying this phone but without that I think I'll have to hold on with the Note 9 for a long time, maybe when the S10+ comes out I'll compare with this and if Mate 20 pro is still better I'll look again a way to buy it cheaper then

You can pre-order a Mate 20 PRO on Amazon.co.uk. The models do not appear to be carrier specific, which I assume means they are unlocked. Amazon specifies in the listing that "This item does not ship to the United States." Undeterred, I decided to see whether I could order the device and specify a US shipping address, which worked fine.
Questions:
Will amazon ship the item to the US even though it says it won't? When might they catch the error?
Are these UK devices unlocked? The listing does not say unlocked, but they are also not tied to any specific carrier.

Well it's nice they didn't charge you VAT. Will you use an US to UK adapter for the supercharger 2.0 plug or will you just use another slower charger and type C cable (when not using wirleess charging) to charge the phone?
I wonder if Huawei is planning on manufacturing at all any superchargers 2.0 with the US plug
About the watch and and wireless charger unfortunately all the websites I've seen specify in bold and/or red letters that gifts are claimed on hauwei website after receiving the phone (similar to samsung gifts) and they'll be shipped ONLY to UK address. So you'd qualify but you'd still need a UK address :/

VAT in EU averages 20%. America does not have this. So instead of 1300$ shipped the phone was 1000$.
As far as the gift, I plan on using a mail forwarding service. They provide a UK address and forward the package to you for like 30$.

Where to buy from?

Let's get a list of places where this will be selling including importing.
WondaMobile expecting to ship by Oct 15th. This is with 256gb rom £759 which is slightly cheaper than UK pricing with double storage. https://www.wondamobile.com/sony-xperia-5-ii-8gb-ram-256gb-sim-free-unlocked.html
Otto (and maybe others?) offers a promotion product (Sony »WF-1000XM3 True Noise Cancelling«) additional to the mobile: https://www.otto.de/p/sony-xperia-5...2-mp-kamera-1225041412#variationId=1225041413
It is already available here in Sweden since a few days ago for ca 865€ bundled with WH1000XM3 headphones.
I am waiting for the Xiaomi Mi 10T Pro but this is tempting too. I could buy it, sell the headphones and get some of the cash back so phone will be closer to my budget but I am not sure if I wanna do that since the front camera is same as on Xperia 1 II and that one was so crappy according to user reviews so what if this one is crappy too. Also no 30w or faster charging like on Chinese brand phones.
Any other places selling the 256gb model?
Be good to know if there is any way to get hold of the elusive grey model here in the UK. Not interested in black or blue, but the overseas sites like Expansys only have black blue or pink. Grey seems to be available in Europe, but not UK - unless Vodafone get it as an exclusive colour which they normally do with Xperias.
Vodafone always last to the party adding Xperias to their site though which is annoying.

Yes, exactly. Poor front camera and also missing wireless charging / face unlock are the real issues that bugs me on such a nice phone for US$950. Still can't understand why Sony used such a bad Samsung (!) sensor on their top tier "Photo Pro" smartphone. That's ridiculous!

I don't think so unfortunately.
I think all Sony deals are country specific.
Belsimpel had a 300€ cashback offer on Xperia 1 II so could get the phone for ca 735€ after cashback but only if you have a NL address.
Same with this offer, you need Swedish address.
I preordered the Xiaomi Mi 10T Pro for 650€. They are giving away Xiaomi Mi Essential Electric Scooter worth ca 300€ for free if you pre order before 21st October.
For me that's a better deal since I don't need headphones and I find the scooter more useful.

For any US buyers I highly suggest getting it from WondaMobile. I ordered mine last Wednesday 10/21/20 and selected free shipping. It was listed as 9-12 business days, but I just got it yesterday 10/26/20. Even shipping from Hong Kong it got here that fast. WondaMobile pays import taxes if you are outside of Europe, and you get more than one color, 5G support, 256gb. I ordered the blue model and it worked with my existing TMobile sim out of the box. It cost me 955 USD, 5 dollar premium to Sony's direct pricing the US, except you the more colors, 256gb, and you get it before December. Sadly no bonus goodies like some EU sellers, but it is easily the best way to get your hands on one in the US.
