I have updated my atrix 4g to latest update.
System Version - 4.5.141.MB860.ATT.en.US
Android Version - 2.3.6
Kernel Version - 2.6.32.9
Build Number - 4.5.141
Status bar (notification) is visible and working properly after reboot.
But after some time it goes invisible. So I can not able to check any notification, battery status etc.
I tried to open the notifications by Menu->More->Notifications.
But still the same problem. I am not able to see the notification on top.
When I restart my phone it comes back.
I tried factory restore but still facing the same problem.
I'm having the same issue but I'm running a custom rom.

Ditto. I had an unlocked phone, and couldn't use the OTA version, so I upgraded using RSD Lite. It seemed to work fine, and my phone still shows unlocked on the home screen, though I have not rooted the phone.
In the last couple days, I spent two days at a hotel for a work event. Yesterday, after charging the Atrix overnight, the blackberry was basically out of battery after 4 hours. I took it down to my desk and recharged, but the device seemed to be staying hot, and I was worried about it. So I did a factory wipe and reloaded using Blur, then Google.
I'm missing a few apps, etc... but at first the device seemed fine. Now I realize the notification bar is missing, and I can't figure out how to bring it back. Reboots have NOT made it reappear, unlike those that report it "disappears". Mine literally will NOT come back.
Any info is appreciated. Wish I'd never gone to 2.3.6. The previous AT&T rom seemed to work fine. And while I wouldn't mind upgrading to ICS, I need a simple, documented process. I won't want to waste my weekend on figuring the whole thing out.

I upgraded to 4.5.141/2.3.6 OTA. I hadn't unlocked mine previously, just rooted. I had the same issue on the stock ROM, after a reboot, I had a status bar, but after an indeterminate period of time, it would disappear. I unlocked, rerooted, and installed a custom ROM and it still has the same issue.
Any clues appreciated.
I have also have the same problem since the 2.3.6 upgrade. I tried using a custom ROM NottachTrix v1.2.9, but get the same results. I have tried using MXLauncher home replacement as well as SPB Shell. Both give the same results. Each time I reloaded my phone I did a complete wipe. The last time I even didn't restore my apps / settings from my backups just to make sure.
I am not sure if the fact that I am using a "Live" wallpaper might have anything to do with it. As it was said earlier it happens randomly, but a restart fixes the issue. It doesn't matter if I switch to Landscape or Portrait, launch another app or webtop. At least with the webtop I can see the other apps running and get notifications from the webtop bar.

The problem is the stock email application. It's really annoying as I have not find a fix.
Supposedly, and I also saw what happened that causes the notification bar disappear is MOTOBLUR problem in the Stock ROM this happens when you try to download or make backups of your data, which probe the solution was to create another email and MOTOBLUR this is no longer closed the notification bar, will question that you try too.

Willy you are my savior. This seems to have fixed the issue. It has been about 17 hours and the notification bar hasn't disappeared.

I have the same problem with the status bar, but I have a Motorola Atrix rooted.
After I actualized the rom to the RETAIL 2.3.6 this problem started.
To resolve this problem partially I created a new MotoBlur account, until now it's ok, but I don't like this solution.
I want my old account because I need and like the e-mail adress and the data.
the quick fix is to shutoff email notifications, for me it was only one account that was breaking it, but if you just go in and shut email notifications off and then reboot it should bring it back.

Just installed BAMF 1.6 and 1.6.2 this morning. So far, great, but there are a couple of visual elements I notice that are missing from my phone that were in the app screenshots. Namely the status bar icons for bluetooth/wifi/etc in the 2nd panel, and the non-standard power options in the 3rd panel.

Did you do a full wipe of of the device BEFORE the install?

OP found out his problem in another thread I believe it was because he was just installing the 1.6.2 patch instead of 1.6, then the 1.6.2 patch.
I just rooted my TB a couple days ago, Researched the ROMS available. Choose to go with Das B.A.M.F 1.6. Did a full Wipe/Cache/ ..Check all three boxes(including Backup) and installed 1.6, Then installed 1.6.2 Update. Never once did I have the options the mentioned earlier.
I verified using ROOT Explorer that there was a widget.txt under system\customize. The information is in the TXT file but it is as if the system cannot enforce the changes specified.

don't use rom manager. Flash in Recovery and you will not be missing anything. Had the same thing happen to me.

I rebooted in recovery, wiped cache, and reflashed 1.6.3 over itself without using Rom Manager and the notification controls and power functions are all there now. I've used ROM forever on my original droid and never had issues like that. Seems the BAMF stuff may not be playing nice with Rom manager.

Quite the opposite, actually, but I was on stock with the old radio too. After VZW's 4g network came back up my battery life was disastrous until flashing BAMF.
Well I thought the issues was over after the fresh clean install of 1.6.3, But now Every time i receive a call ...Call Recorder Crashes. Also I am experiencing random reboots. My battery life on the other hand has be excellent and managable.
I was on a call this evening. And it rebooted in the middle of it.
Any Ideas?

What kernel are you running? Call Recorder works with very few kernels. Adryn's and one of Imoseyon's newest kernels are the only ones I'm aware of (there might be more).
Thank you for your responses. I am only using the 4.4.7 kernel. Which come s with das bamf 1.6.3. It is this new kernel (4.4.7). I never had these issues with 1.6.2. I believe the kernel from 1.6.2 was 4.4.5

Is it possible to flash back to that kernel in 1.6.2 without going fully back to 1.6.2? Or will I just run into more issues...

So I was using my phone today when I got a notification in my status bar about an updated version of Busybox binaries. I think it said my phone was currently on version 1.20.0. It updated to 1.20.1, I believe. After this updated, my phone started seriously bugging out. It started acting like it does when the screen is wet. Random screen presses, switching my homescreens, clicking my calender widgets and setting random event alarms, etc. It ended up getting so bad that I couldn't even unlock my phone as I use a pattern lock. I pretty much lost all control of my phone. I had no choice and am currently restoring my latest Nandroid backup... I'm sure the screen wasn't wet too. It worked fine right before the update. I even rebooted and wiped down the screen with cotton balls and used a small amount of screen cleaner. I wiped it dry and left it in front of a fan for a few minutes to make sure it wasn't wet. Didn't help...
So my question is, should I install a specific version of the binaries? I'm running CM7, Mashup v3, 8 touchpoint mod, speedyv7. Everything was fine on 1.20 before the update. Thanks...

I just uninstalled and reinstalled BusyBox free and I still don't see an option for 1.20.1. No idea what that is or why I can't see it.

No I could not just install a previous version. Not because it would try and fail. The screen was acting up way too bad. Too many ghost screen touches, way too fast. Probably didn't help that I have 8 touchpoints enabled, ha... It was literally impossible. Only route was to restore a nandroid backup. Thankfully ReRecovery saved me from an SBF.

Well, after sitting for a few hours BusyBox just updated and I can now see 1.20.1. I'm gonna let it self-scan then install and see what happens.
Any luck auto installing? Mine stayed loading for about 20 minutes so I just went ahead and installed 1.20.1.
I switched ROMs now and I'm on ICS. I want to see if I have similar issues here. I'll be back on CM7 later tonight. If you need anything else from me, let me know.

Not that this will help any or at all, but I had trouble with 1.20.1 also. I don't remember exactly what it was. I went back to 1.19.4-cm7 and it's running like a top.
Last night my phone updated busy box. I waited 45 minutes while the smart installer ran though and I got inpatient and killed the program. I just checked a few minutes ago and the update was installed but the smart installer was still running. What's going on?

Good question. Mine runs as much as my refrigerator
I am recently having an issue with the time on my LWW.
Sometimes it is an hour late.
Sometimes it is stuck at a certain time.
My signature shows what I have on my phone.
This causes the alarm clock app to not work.
The weird thing is that when I check the settings>date and time.
Time is set properly. I have the automatic options unchecked.
To correct this, I tap the set time then tap set and it is corrected.
Or restarting the phone will also fix it.
My main concern here is that I might not wake up on time if the time is messed up causing the alarm app to not work.
Any one here got the same issue with theirs?
I have just cleared cache partition and wipe dalvik for now and seems to be in-sync. Never had this problem before when I was on GB.
I flashed my phone many times, but never got that problem.
Maybe u shoud try fix it with flash other roms, kernel, or fix using pcc.
If not succeed, there's maybe an error inside the hardware.

Was monitoring the running applications.
The only app that I think that would control the time is this SecureClockService app.
Would probably try reflashing again the Generic ICS or maybe its time I try another ROM.
Not experiencing the problem again so far.

i had the same problem for a while: i was on Real ICS Lite v.1 and everything was working great, then i tried Real ICS lite v.2 but didn't like it, so i reinstalled Real ICS lite v.1, that's when the problem occurred but i just had to reboot the phone to fix it, hasn't occurred again since.
this problem was faced by me 2.... i was on real ics r4.1 even the lockscreen time was wrong.... so i just flashed fxp130 cm9.0.... and it was the most awesome thing i did.... can play all the games wich i **** in real ICS....
would recommend the same for you....

Time at status bar is way behind.
But on Set time is OK.
Set it to automatic for now for time and timezone. Hope this would fix this.
Last thing before going to sleep was was just browse on my phone.
Checked running apps and noticed that the secure clock service has just been running for 3 hours. I think it should not be like that since upon startup this app already is running.
Check on automatic time update. Then yo'll get proper time

Were you also in a stock based rom when this problem happened?
I actually did a search on XDA and found some other phones having this issue.
Im not sure if this is just with ICS roms.

yep, stock based rom: Real ICS lite. I would say it's ICS roms problem since i've never heard of this problem (at least i didn't) until ICS got out.
I had this problem once with RealICS r4.1
Reboot and never come back...
Automatic update time & date was and is all time actived.
If it can help someone, clock lock screen and widget were goods and it's only status bar time that is too late...
It's some days that clock seems to be always correct... MAH!

I just got the Padfone Friday, and I seem to have an issue with the stock launcher.
Everyone once in awhile when I dock the phone, the tablet will flash between some screens, and I can't do anything. So I pull the phone out, and it tells me that the systemui has crashed.
I have root via towelroot, and I froze some apps, so I did a factory reset earlier in case it was from something I did. But this is still happening sometimes.
Is this a common issues, or is there something I could be doing wrong?
Have you found a fix yet? I have the same exact problem. I have the same symptoms you do. I can't put my tablet to sleep because it won't turn back on. I have to take the phone out and put it back in but then it glitches and seems like the systemui isn't working right.
Got the phone a couple weeks ago. Worked fine until recently. I haven't done anything abnormal. I did change my wallpaper on the tablet (I saw on another forum that someone thought this was the problem) but my problem didn't arise until a few days later.
I did a factory reset, and didn't change the background on the PadStation, that seems to be doing the trick.
Try disabling the lock screen. Mine would get whacky when putting the phone in the station, bouncing screens and/or telling me systemui had crashed until I disabled the swipe security on the lock screen.
.. .. another thing to watch out for is that some widgets don't play nice with this device. I had a weather radar widget on my phone and it worked well. When I would dock it in the padfone station I would get multiple crashes. Android would crash, Asus system ui would crash and tablet would freeze up.
Removing the weather widget from the phone home screen solved the issue.

Well, that sucks. As far as i can tell it is the lock screen that is the problem. SLIDE lock was the culprit in my setup. I tried setting it a couple of different ways on the handset and also tried setting it from the station. The result was always the same; the station screen would blink on and off with the default text that instructs you to touch and hold the screen to change the wallpaper. When taking the phone out there is a message about the system ui not responding.
I assume this will be fixed via an update soon.
I was plagued with this problem of system ui crashing non stop when using tablet with a lock screen.
The solution I found was to update my Asus Launcher to 1.4.0.150213 and I havent had the problem anymore.

I had trouble finding the updated APK for the Asus apps.
I had to use the Aptoide app marketplace to get the needed APK. (they have all the updated Asus apps for some reason)
Worked perfectly and now I have everything updated and running smoothly with the new features.
Think there was like 3 apps that needed updating.

Seems fine here, try a number with full format, for example +44 for UK

Had this too, i disabled the GSM alphabet in sms settings and seems to fix the problem.

Just installed this update, personally I think everything regarding the design looks worse than before. There's a bit of lag in almost every transition/animation. Checked the camera, photos come out blurier now than before and it seems the phone takes longer than before to process the shots, even for the easiest ones. I guess I'll see how it develops and maybe reset my phone because as of right now it looks and feels like crap.

They should give option for app drawer in stock launcher.

The minimum at dark environment is adjustable with a second slider under Settings, Display, Screen brightness. Adjust upwards.

Yeap, that did the trick. Sms is working now.
Do you maybe know why it's failing with GSM Alphabet turned ON?

The only bug I found so far is with one handed mode. When you switch from one side to another it jumps to the middle of the screen for a second
