Best launcher for the Note? - AT&T Samsung Galaxy Note I717

I can're seem to fine a launcher that doesn't lag when switching pages on the note. Anyone know of a good launcher that's ics themed?
Sent from the best phone in the world Galaxy Note!!!

I think they will al have a degree of lag. You really should consider overclocking and then pretty much any launcher should be good for you. I use adw ex and my phone is ocd to over 1700. Its very very fast. Lag is nonexistent in every way on this note now.
Sent from my SAMSUNG-SGH-I717 using xda premium

I'm running GO Launcher EX. I don't notice any lag, none to complain about at least.

SBH Shell looks amazing on the Note. I am still test it out.

VTL Launcher. IT is made for landscape and it is developed by an XDA member.

or the Market.

I try most all of them; and then come back to GoLauncher

I LOVE Go Launcher, but Launcher pro is 100% lag free... I mean everywhere, including the app drawer runs smooth as silk and reminds me how much I love this phone!

I use lightning launcher. Its actually pretty good after you set it up and tweak it here and there. Looks much better than touch wiz IMO.

Launcherpro plus is great for me, no lag, and I can stretch my widgets to fit the note's screen

+1 ive been using LPP for a long time now across many different phones with great success

Adw is good but a little heavy. I've tried them all and always end up going back to go launcher

I use Zeam launcher. very light weight.

I know its alittle exspensive but TSF Shell is by far the best launcher on the market and couple together with our note's mega screen its priceless. I would pay the developer again lol best $16 you can spend on an android device IMHO. Plus the devs send out timely updates too. Hope this helps.

I've really thought about buying this, but I haven't really found a problem with the stock launcher that would make me want to pay that. I've tried ADWEx, Go, and LauncherPro Plus but I always come back to TouchWiz.
What are the main advantages for you with TSF Shell over stock TouchWiz?

I agree zeam is great, lightweight and fast. But I am using ashell right now because it has scrolling wallpaper. It is also pretty lightweight

Sent from my SAMSUNG-SGH-I717 using xda premium

Launcher pro runs fantastic on the phone, as well as TSF, however you will have to get used to a new way of doing things with TSF...

TSF is definitely the fastest and smoothest launcher I've ever used. It does take getting used to...I'm still not entirely lol
Sent from my SAMSUNG-SGH-I717 using xda premium

I always end up back on ADWex just because I've been using it for so long with great results and am so familiar with it. Most launchers seem to work ok with appropriate transitions etc selected.
I did get TSF launcher and am pretty happy with it. It seems incredibly smooth in the app drawer, no matter the transition. If they implement regular swiping through homescreens it may become my default. It's a bit silly with lasso select popping up every time I try to switch screens.

Recommend me a good launcher.

I've already tried adw ex, go HD, go ex, apex, nova prime, lightninglauncher, keys, spb, winphone7, Regina pro, tsf, sslauncher, zeam, nemus, fullscreen, launcherpro, and claystone.
I guess I'm OCD...

I have to say my personal favorite is Apex. It gives all of the features needed, in a nice clean package!
I personally tried Go Launcher, but found it to be too obtrusive and it lacked the polish that I was wanting.
I will include a link that needs to be fixed for the time being, as I still am a "new" user :/

I'm not sure what recommendations you're looking for, as you've tried 10+ launchers, including all of the popular ones. IMO, Apex and Nova work best with the TFP. They also have been built from the stock ICS launcher with added functionality. Personally, I use Apex and love it. I use a custom grid size that works well in landscape, as well as portrait without cutting off any of my apps or widgets. I'd say give one of those two launchers another shot.

From what I've read about it it isn't a launcher. Instead it will be built into phones/tablets kind of like sense on htc stuff. Hopefully someone finds a way to turn it into a launcher or modifies it to run on the prime, but it may be awhile before any of that happens.

Apex is the best launcher i've got on my Prime. To phone I recomend GO Launcher Ex
Using SPB shell 3d. Awesome.
My prime in not near by. I will post screen shots when it is.
Used SPB shell 3d on my phone and was shocked when it looked better on my tablet.
Stack and scrollable widgets strangely work on the tablet and not on the phone!!!!

my favourite launcher is the touchwiz ux launcher from the galaxy tab 10.1 although you got to have root to use it with widgets its realy nice and almost no lag

TSF I admit is probably the slickest launcher on the market. Adw is amazing too (I own both)
But to be completely honest ADW has more features than TSF shell.
Live wallpapers and icon customization; TSFUI has les than half of what adw has.
Yes I use tsf every day as a launcher but I'm pissed off that my $17 isn't $14 better than adw.
-end rant
Although it never lagged even once on stock let alone ics. So I suggest you wait until TSF shell has live wallpaper support, auto rotation, screen transition animations, etc.

really it doesnt have any of that those seems like basic things at least to me in most launchers, wow ok well I'm definitely gonna hold off I dont want to spend almost 20 bucks on something that has less features than a 3.99 launcher
nice video! shows off some good apps and launchers.
I used TSF for a while when i first got my note- great launcher.
I also played around with Regina 3D launcher. this one was actually pretty dang cool, and free on top of that! its a fun little launcher.
even with all these cool launchers out, i still cant pass up my Apex Pro
I have been tsf and I like it a lot. The only question I have is there a way to auto space and align the program icons on my home screen? I see the + where I can do it manual but would like something easier than that.
Thanks

Nice video. TSF looks slick but seems like it might drain some extra juice off the battery. I think another good launcher would be Go launcher EX. It's fully customizable in regards to grids and transitions and it's free in the market. I gave up ADW Launcher ex for Go launcher. My personal opinion of course.
Enjoy!
Go launcher is a resource hog...I'll never use it again lol. Tsf doesn't even use up as much .I just with apex ..very customized ..themes that aren't colored by a lil kid

Best Android Launcher?

Hey guys..
I was just wondering whats the BEST android launcher in your opinion?
My personal favorite is Zeam Launcher. I like its minimalistic look and its blazing fast too. It does not have any fancy features and it works great.
I also like Holo Launcher. I am still on Gingerbread so the Holo Launcher is a very appealing choice for me to try out because it is an ICS launcher. Holo Launcher works great and is one of my favorite. It has a lot of cool features but for some reason.. I keep finding myself going back to Zeam.
So guys... Whats your favorite android launcher?

If you like minimal and fast, try lightning launcher. I've been using it for months on all my devices now. It's great and let's you do loads of things that are just impossible on other launchers, like freely placing and rotating widgets and icons

Hey mate... I have actually tried this and I would agree with you that it is probaly the fastest launcher I have ever seen. However, it is not for everyone because their is only ONE home screen.
It may be fast but with only one home screen... its severely limited and putting apps on the home screen can sometimes screw up the grid. You just have to a little bit careful when you are placing or moving apps. Otherwise, its a great launcher.
Thanks for reminding me about this app mate...

Hmm... it seems like an impressive app but it seems more like a homescreen customizer. It is a also a whopping $16.80 in the Google Play store... hopefully its a typo but if its not... it seems awfully high for an app.
I have been recently wondering...
What's the fastest launcher?
Lightening Launcher is blazing fast but is there anything faster??
I have purchased tsf ui .. awesomely fast but take huge amount of ram. Nearly 45mb while others take 10-15mbs.

Its a quality app. We need to be willing to pay for quality apps if we want android to evolve more. That's just a couple of coffee drinks.
And 45mb is low for an eye candy app.

I personally love Nova Launcher.
I got the Prime version for 25 cents once upon a time and it was a great deal. While a lot of other launchers do offer more "power" now, I find that Nova offers a great balance between features and simplicity.

You can't go wrong with Nova or Apex (they're basically the same, but some people's phones like one better than the other), but my current favorite is Action Launcher.
It can be kind of stuttery sometimes, but Shutters more than make up for that.
I've been trying a lot of different ones including Nova and Go launcher but they seem to get laggy after a few days. Been pretty happy with Atom launcher. Action launcher looks pretty neat too. My two faves are Next3D and Nova. I bought Next3D when they had a 50% off sale about 8 months ago, but I've been using Nova more and more because...it just works great. No redraws, small memory foot print. I made the mistake and bought SPB Shell 3D back in June '12, and it's pretty much abandonware ($15 bucks). Yes, I could get the Yandex Shell for free which is a direct clone of it, but it has too many limitation, it's a memory and battery hog and redraws way too often.

well tsf shell is what I would consider the most "different" but definitely not everyone's cup of tea.
since its expensive, next is not bloated like GO thank god (HATE go lol) but it does take some tweaking to make it look nice (I like a clean holo-ish theme), fortunately because it is from the go dev team, it has a lot of theming support.
I would describe it as having all the customibility features apex or nova have but with the coolest animations and widgets I've personally seen.
best thing I can tell you is to go on YouTube and look at launcher reviews before you go spending money on anything.
