There is a whole thread titled "do not use rom manager". You can't use it on our phone. I've had it work with nightlies after getting cm7 up and running the normal way. Look in the twice weekly cm7 thread for the latest kang. Oh and search is your friend. Prepare to get flamed

I actually tried to install it normally without ROM manager first but it gave me the same error.

Try wiping ur phone again, flash another aokp rom, then wipe and flash cm7. I used shep's miui, it worked flawlessly http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1314581

I just tried, I wiped the phone again, then tried to flash MIUI and it gave me 1 of the 2 errors
"E:signature verification failed"

I just read somewhere that my issue can be caused by the Kernel and that you have to flash a custom kernel that doesn't check for the file signature or something? anyone able to point me in the right direction for this?

nah.....i see you sittin there
you see, i know you are really angry at me...in fact uprobablymadbro, but the fact of the matter is....in the amount of time that it took you to write up this topic, wait for the answers to come, and probably still sit there waiting on someone to feed you, you could have read the sticky, and followed all the instructions on how to flash a rom properly on this phone....
but instead, you would rather lash out at people stating the obvious.....so good luck with your dilemma.

Issue Installing CyanogenMod 7.2 on S2

I have been trying to install the CyanogenMod 7.2 for hours now...I have reset the phone back to stock and rooted twice. When trying to install the mod I get the following error -
Finding update package...
Opening update package...
Verifying update package...
E: failed to verify whole-file signature
E: signature verification failed
Installation aborted
It is driving me nuts...have tried all 3 options on their site for installation, I'm sure Im not the only person with this issue.
Can anybody shed some light on this issue in PLAIN english...the help would be much appreciated.
I think u have stock recovery
You need CWM recovery
Or if u have CWM recovery then turn off signature verification
I have it and used it already...error is the same.

Don't try to flash with rom manager
Do it manually by CWM recovery
and post questions in Q/A section from next time
I am running the full version of CWM and it does not give me any options for disabling or turn off signature verification. Also manual CWM does not work....gives the exact same issue.
Sorry for posting in wrong part of forum new...and forums very confusing.

Anyway, regarding your latest fail statement (or is it a question? It's hard to tell with that grammar), all of the CF-root links work fine.

Multiupload is gone for good. That's the resolution.
But, all the download links in the CF-Root thread are links to chainfire's own hosted site. Not a single download link in the CF-Root thread is to a multiupload site. (seriously. Not a one)
So are you looking at the right thread for CF-Root?

CF-Root thread.
Flashing one of these kernels (looks like you'll want to use a KF4 kernel - I think there's only one on the page) will give you CWM recovery. Once you have this, try your CyanogenMod install again.
As always though, the best advice I can offer is to search, research, and read voraciously before doing anything that can possibly do irreparable harm to your phone.

Ctomgee,
Thanks for the heads up...I think the only harm I will be doing is to my friend, whom made me take this path. Should the phone brick its self..at least I will have something to throw at him...
Thanks Again..will give it ago & let you know.

i have 4.1.2 when it told me that is all ready rooted, but when i get in to recovery mode by pressing home lock and volume up screen, and i try to flash something from the zip, it is allways says signature varification failed.
plz help anybody.
It normally means there is something wrong with the file you downloaded.
Try re downloading the fike again and then try flashing.
If the same happens again then question it in the thread you found the download in.
Hope this helps

because i tried to flash omega with no luck, and also what is the main thing i want to flash to my phone is only the mod of the multi view, and i see on this topic that everyone succeeds.

Then the only thing i can advice is redownloading the same mod again. And re do all the steps that it told you to do for installation.
If still no joy then maybe worth asking in the thread and give as much info as possible ( rom, version, and problem )

No, you can't use Odin to flash Slim. But you know what you can use XDA for? Reading. I'm sorry, but spoonfeeding is against XDA rules. Read up & flash slimbean. First you want a custom recovery & root, from there all you have to do is download the ROM and flash it according to the instructions in Slim OP. I'm not saying any more.

3. Read.
No one said you have to be a developer or expert. I'm certainly not. I only know what I know because I read things before attempting them. This isn't meant to be harsh, but right now your phone is in danger. Messing with your phone when you don't know what you're doing is a sure way to screw things up. So please do some reading. I already told you where to start, you need a custom recovery & root.

Good to hear.
The reason that everything looks small is that it's not standard dpi. Slim has default 182 dpi, stock is 240 dpi. You can change it, go to settings>interface>LCD density. Follow what it says there, the instructions work great there.

I've the fusionjack kernel included into the ROM...
Someone already solved this ?
EDIT:
I downloaded the superuser update.zip as explained in the second post, flashed it and reboot.
Recovery asked if disable to restore something, select "yes" and now my phone is rooted

Your Trust Zone (TZ) is not the right version, to update it, you must flash a stock MM ROM first, then you can flash CM13.
Everything you need to know is here, in the Honor 5X section.

I think you actually have reading issues...or you're acting in bad faith.
Your question (and the answer) have already been asked (and answered) several dozens times, hence my sarcastic tone, but I still took the time to answer you on 17th August 2016, 10:38 PM:

Your Trust Zone (TZ) is not the right version, to update it, you must flash a stock MM ROM first, then you can flash CM13.

As everyone can see, I was the first to answer, I don't copied anything.
I saw five minutes later that you have made an other post with the same question (this is a bad habit) and that halomademeapc also answered you there...I have even edited my post to reflect it, and it was still one minute before clsA post his answer.
I have also explained why (trust zone mismatch version), how can I copy something not explained by anyone else on any of your two thread ?
So please stop lying.
Someone please close this thread!
