Description:
The firefox alpha browser is not compatible with all of the current plugins available for the stable firefox browser that is already available on the market. Compatibility checking is based on the version number. After playing around with this browser while its still in alpha i find it to be quite stable but lags a bit.
i have personally tested it and it works somewhat fine, too much use of ram. but its kind of stable. mozilla is taking armv6 seriously.
"ARMv6 is some huge percentage of Android devices, something like 62%. By not supporting it our market is immediately cut by over a third. We should try to get these builds working again."

Steps To Update:
1) open the browser and press menu
2) press more
3) press settings
4) press about nightly
5) check for updates
awesome man works but bit laggy.

only way to keep it opened is to. Open a new tab, constantly.

Hi all
Has anybody got this on their gt540 yet?
Ive been reading about spb shell for a while now but there still doesn't seem to be a release date set as its still in beta.
In the vid it says it doesn't work on all phone but has been tested on the samsung vibrant - check it out here

So far im having compatability problems, running on 2.3.3 rom but in another vid a guy has it running pretty smooth on the gt540.
Hi, yeah i tried to test it too when i had Froyo 2.2.1 running but with no luck , i just reveiced a pop up message saying that my phone is not compatible ... but i will try to test it again on CM7 v1.5 2.3.3, i will let you know how it goes.

Yes has sence , this phone is not that powerfull for support this launcher
i dont think it to do with how powerfull it is i think the developers have made for a few handsets from low spec to high spec ones to get an idea of what needs done to support all handsets.

I finally got this running after alot of playing and boy does it eat battery,
Only problem now is I still have to reactivate it again after opening certain apps like the browser.
By the time that they fully release this many other launchers would have caught up and the device not supported message would be cracked for most phones so they wont get the asking price they deserve lol

What i did was choose it as the default launcher then rebooted and reactived it again,
I cant upload the apk's as there just over 8mb but you can google for them, theres 2 versions i found (full version) and (cracked version)
The "device not supported" message will always appear so just click ok
maybe someone with more knoledge than me can tweek it to work better but for me but if you dont mind having to reactive it again after you use a system app like the browser it fine

First I have to say how amazing the cyanogen 2.2 is. I love it!
I just wanted to know how to get the led flashlight working, I am running the very latest version, and apparently it should be functioning.
I don't mean as a camera flash btw, but actually as a torch. I used to use mototorch from the market with stock 2.1, but this no longer works.

Sorry its CyanogenMod 6.1.3 v 4.5.7 that I am using now and flashlight function doesn't work on, and it did work on se 2.1.
All the apps I have tried so far just make the screen glow, which is bit naff.
Tell you what though, I can play music without stuttering for the first time since stock se 1.6

Just use the xperia flashlight. I use that and it works fine. Just grab it from the market.

I downloaded an app called FlashLightApp. Have a widget right on the desktop and it works great for me. Pretty bright too
Skyfire 4 has been released this is a must I think for our devices.
1-install skyfire 3
2- open it and accept terms & conditions (this is important)
3-uninstall it
4- install skyfire 4

no need for the screen shot, I installed it already. just forgot to go back here because I was still playing with it. I think in accessibility of buttons, I still prefer the following:
1. Miren - top choice
2. Boat Browser - secondary
3. Net front browser - nice gui & good controls.
though the video feature of skyfire is blazing fast.. good. but I think the quality is a little bit off.
is there any other browser than skyfire can play flash video on our mini pro?

Just added skyfire 3 if you install 3 open it up, then install 4 you should get the video licence free

1-install 3
2- open it
3-uninstall it
4- install 4
should work

Hi you must of done something wrong you need to install 3 first then open it and accept the terms and conditions. Then uninstall 3. Then install 4 and it will work

Hello everybody!
I've found a way to open flash sites, and even flash games!
You can do that by using Puffin Web Browser, but still there's one problem... You can't adjust the zoom level because there are no zoom buttons and our phone doesn't support multi-touch, so you may sometimes experience problems fitting the flash element in the screen... Otherwise it is great!!!!
The browser also supports tab browsing and is a hell lot faster even than the Opera Mini and Opera Mobile! It is definetly worth trying it!
P.S. The old version no longer works. We'll have to wait untill the new one is cracked...
Tried it on o1 and it is the best app for flash contents. Video a little bit laggy but still better than with any other browser

Zoom
You can zoom in, sort of, just double-tap on a non-flash zone. It zooms in or out slightly
BTW, THANKS FOR THE HEADS UP! THIS IS GREAT! Now we can all watch flash and play flash games. I'm looking for a way to speed it up.

This ROM is a Galaxy Note clone for DS5 with Samsung TW.
No Landscape
Yeah, just installed it and i can confirm its a clone of the Samsung Galaxy note TW, with Galaxy S2 boot-animation.
I nandroided back as i cant live without landscape mode, it seems to be locked to portrait.
Seemed to work pretty fast, didn't have a notification bar up the top but was definitely smooth.
The only problem i could find was when you selected CM7 settings it FC.
Also it installs at 240 dpi.
Looks like cm7 + samsung touchwiz ui (in Korean language), need to flash gapps from cm7, the performance same as cm7 and miui (still hv lag issue when open and sync gmail).
I uploading now to my dropbox and will give u the link after finish.

It feels like running hpa's cm7 with 240 dpi. I still preferred the dsc rom. The only thing that I like with the Leedroid was the touchwiz

I use an app from the market called "Ultimate Rotation Control"...it has a free 7 day trial and then after that you either pay for it or go back to however your phone was before you got it. Worth every penny I paid for it.
I just installed the said rom, after a few trials I returned to Longhorn, its a bit weird looking at a CM7 based rom and on 240 dpi. I settled with 160 but the screen or launcher look odd.
