[Q] Stock browser apk requirements

I had an issue with deleting stock bookmarks. Using Titanium backup I deleted bookmarks without backing up. Subsequently it deleted my stock browser as well. Reinstalling browser.apk gave me a stock web icon but with errors fails to load. Do I need additional files? Other browsers work fine. I need stock though. froyo 2.2

Anyone have the 2.2 stock web files?

i deleted the 2.2 web via titanium backup because i didn't want it and only want to use skyfire... however, now everytime i try to access my bookmarks in skyfire, it forces close. for some reason, i can see the deleted 2.2 web in TB, but can't restore it... any ideas? i was reading elsewhere (on diff forum) that i need to put the original files into TB and restore... i also have root explorer if i need that. thanks! trying to do this without reflashing bionix =)
program in the dev section called bloater will add all the stock apps you want back on to your phone.

[Q] How to switch to a different ROM while restoring all apps and messages

Hi,
I have a question which might seem too stupid or trivial.
I am currently running CM 7.1.0 ROM on my Legend. I would like to flash ogo2's Gingerbread ROM while restoring all apps and messages/contacts.
Can somebody help me with the procedure of backing up apps and messages, then flashing the new ROM, then restoring all apps/messages
I have no idea for messages since it doesn't care for me.
If you are not going to format/clean your SD card Titanium backup can be helpful for saving applications with data.
The only app you will need to install is Titanium and it restore applications+appsdata for you after flashing.
Make a backup/restore test drive before proceed with flashing.
For keeping your messages there's some apps in market that might help you, haven't tried them though.

Hi, when i did my root and flashed brand new rom, I used 3 things, I used visionary+ temp root then used Titanium Back for all my apps, I used Go SMS Pro to backup all my sms/mms, and for contacts, I used the built in export contacts to .vcf file the good thing about this is if your contacts are stored on phone (not sim) and you have more than one contact for each name + contact pictures associated they fully restore (so long as you leave the pictures alone on SDcard. If you use only sim for contacts, I have found that you can have problems, only storing the default cantact number, no picture association after backup and restore (lost a whole heap of contacts that way).
How ever, since gaining a lot more knowledge, apparantly you can actually use Titanium to backup your contacts and sms/mms as well as your apps using the "backup system data" from the batch mode, although I haven't tried this yet, I cannot confirm that it works.
for contacts you can export them to sd card, as for the sms and other apps use Titanium Backup

[Q] Backup/Restore contacts from TW to AOSP

Hello XDA Community,
I'm changing roms from Stock (XWLPG) to Chameleon Hybrid Rom (XWLPU)
I'm having a problem where I can't restore my contacts from the Stock TW Contacts app to the AOSP People app.
I've managed to restore messages & calendar events via Titanium Backup (data restore), but not the contacts.
If there's a way doing this manually extracting from nandroid or other, please share.
I tried searching the forums but I can't seem to find a solution.
Thanks!

[Q] original stock apk

I rooted my X10 mini and installed Titanium backup. I replaced stock messaging and browser apps with new ones. Later there was a problem reading SD card witch titanium puts the backup on it. Now there's no way to restore the original stock apps such as the messaging and browser. Now my phone cannot open any SMS message or visit the web!! With problem accessing SD I can' download any alternative app! I guess I'd like to go back to the original light weight apps. Where can I find them?
