ICS NEO V - Sony Ericsson Xperia Neo, Pro

Some one know when will be ready in Portugal?
Sent from my MT11i using Tapatalk

You are referring to an official release from Sony?
That's what they say:
If you’ve got a 2011 model, however, here’s the schedule for the phased rollout: starting in late March, the Xperia arc S, Xperia neo V and Xperia ray will get their skinned Android 4.0 goodness, while owners of the Xperia arc, Xperia PLAY, Xperia neo, Xperia mini and mini pro, Xperia pro and Xperia active will have to wait a month longer till late April.

If you are referring to any release: There are already very good working ROMs here on xda. Games, HDMI, front and backcamera working. And of course WLAN, GPS, UMTS and so on:

Thanks

I don't want to sound rude or anything. I'm new to this board. But I think you should have hit the Thanks Button instead of replying.
But anyway, glad I could help.

Awww yeah! Lockscreen music controls. I will switch to the stock player!
It looks awesome with still gingerbread-ish look... (i know it's an alpha relase, but still looks great)
Use stock music player with megabass patch added, then it supercool!

Official ICS Rollout thread - Updated 27/6/2012 - All firmwares available!

Posted on 25/05/2012
Hello everyone. We’d like to bring you up to speed with recent developments in our Android 4.0 software rollout.
First up, the rollout plans for the Xperia NXT series (Xperia S, Xperia P and Xperia U) are progressing as planned. The first smartphone to be upgraded will be Xperia S, starting from the end of June. Then Xperia P will follow, whilst Xperia U will receive it a little later in Q3. As always we will keep you in the loop with the latest info as soon as we can.
For our 2011 range, as you know, we began our Ice Cream Sandwich software upgrade with Xperia arc S, Xperia ray and Xperia neo V last month.
Now, we are happy to confirm that the remaining 2011 smartphones; Xperia arc, Xperia neo, Xperia mini, Xperia mini pro, Xperia pro, Xperia active and Sony Ericsson Live with Walkman will start to receive their updates starting from next week.
This software upgrade will be Android version 4.0.4 and the good news is that this latest version will also be made available for Xperia arc S, Xperia ray and Xperia neo V users, who received Android 4.0.3 the first time around.
In regards to Xperia PLAY, after extensive in house testing with our developer teams and working with our partners, we have concluded that a consistent and stable experience, particularly with gaming, cannot be guaranteed for this smartphone on Ice Cream Sandwich – therefore, we will not make the Android 4.0 upgrade available for Xperia PLAY.
This decision was also verified when we received similar feedback from the developer community; both experienced developers and advanced users, along with game content providers following our ICS beta ROM for unlocked Xperia PLAY smartphones.
Our priority has and always will be, to provide the best possible user experience on Xperia smartphones. In this instance the ICS upgrade would have compromised stability, where we look to ensure a quality gaming experience with games optimized and developed for Xperia PLAY.
As always, feel free to drop us a comment or question below.

There is not said, that update is released to all devices to all regions during this week. The whole update project to named devices begins this week and lasts until they have done everything for devices receiving the update.
The whole team is in progress of uploading thousands of firmwares and now they also occured server problems probably due to massive uploading and downloading. It all takes long time.
And yes, they said end May/early June. It begon end May. They started like they said, what's the problem?
Now please, calm down, be a bit patient and stop spamming the topic. I know you are all excited and so impatient, but please, that's not a reason to spam. Go outside, have some fun, it is pointless to wait hours behind computer, waiting for the update, finally going to sleep without it. You can't miss the update, it will be available for long time.
When a update comes, then it will be announced/posted, I will update this topic when I see something new, on Sony forums the SI lists are updated when new firmwares are available etc.

Kamarush don't use it in his works because it's not fully stable yet... Maybe something is change?

Honestly I can't tell you what it brings but, if Sony is giving it to us, it might be stable. The latest version released was 3.4.0, so I think 3.0.8 might be far from stable by now. Dunno why kamarush says it is unstable, should we ask him?
Anyways, are you guyz serious when you say that a fw won't be released before its registered here? http://www.ptcrb.com/vendor/complete/view_complete_request_guest.cfm?modelid=19510

uhh guys 4.1.A.0.562 was certified for arc s on 30 mar and released around mid april....... certificate for wt19i is still not certified ... how can they release it next week then ??
http://www.ptcrb.com/vendor/complete/view_complete_request_guest.cfm?modelid=20152
Is that a rule? I mean, the fw could be ready for mass distribution and just waiting for certification... Maybe that site is delayed? Because if Sony will actually release fw for ALL 2011 phones, they might have tons of work to certify everthing.
Just my 2 cents, though.

Btw, when ics came, I'm waiting for someone to taste it first. If one complains due to slow performance and such, id rather not upgrading but we'll see

Sony Ericsson Xperia Arc x Xperia Neo V

Hello guys, I have a question.
Which phone should I buy? Xperia Arc or Xperia Neo V? What is best?
What you indicate to me?
Help me, I'm unsure which one to buy.
Thankful, Mateus.

Arc-S I would say, if not normal arc
I just want to opinion to which one to choose.
Xperia Arc or Xperia Neo V?
i have to say, you wanna buy arc but arc and arc s they has cronical problems "house crack" and they have 8 mp exmor and neo v hasnt.

does sony plans to update xperia p to 4.2?

Hi,
I want to buy xperia p and I want to know does sony plans to update it to 4.2?or like arc s sony will leave it with 4.1?
sony never updated the arc s to 4.1
Don't even dream about that,XS maybe, but XP never. With all the large number of phones that Sony release every year the 'old' phones are forgotten easily.

I had an Xperia Ray (same gpu/cpu amount of ram as your arc s) OCed to 1,8 GHZ and now I have a Sola (same gpu/cpu as xperia p) and I have to say that Ray was way better. I don't think that you should ever buy a novathor device. Go for HTC one S or galaxy S2 in my opinion. Or Xperia l.
Even if Sony wanted to bring 4.2 to P, it cannot as ST-Erricsson is about to die & they are most probably not gonna develop sources for 4.2

The JB Rom really great and fast in Xperia P...
I also tried it on my sola which was ported by Munjeni...
Fast than ICS Rom,but with some bugs because that was ported from Xperia P & go...
You can go for Xperia P
Or Xperia L,good also.
Just Screen resolution lower (480x854)
Xperia P 960x540
So Xperia L can't watch Full HD Videos and also can't capture full HD videos.
Others Xperia L won Xperia P...

So is there any chance to sony update a 4.1 lag free even?

You can enable clear audio+ for better music or Xloud for calls. I got Xperia P JB and it is much better than ICS, sound and everything is smoother. I love new stamina mode on battery in which you can choose which applications should work even in stamina mode (like skype, what´s app or viber).
The v4a app is by far the best sound mod ever and I've used all. Plus it's a app
