I believe your SD card is bad, you need to replace it. Then reflash.

Without memory card device works good. But when i instert new card and reflash it again hangs on startup HTC logo.
Where was a liquid in a memory card slot. It just needed hardware repair Problem solved

[Q] Changing Everything to Default

Hi Xda Members,
I'm using HTC HD2 for 6 months.
I've installed Hard SPL first. Then i've upgraded my Radio Rom from 2.07 to 2.12. Then I've installed ChuckyRom and later I changed my rom to EnergyRom.
Now, I'm going to send my HTC HD2 to service and I want to send it with factory settings because of warranty issues.
I need to know;
1. How can I change the boot screen to original one? (The first one which seems when I turn on the phone; it shows ChuckyRom's boot screen now.)
2. How can I erase every clue about custom roms after flashing the shipped rom? Is it possible for them to understand that I had flashed a custom rom before?
3. When I press Volume Down + Start Button i see LEOIMG.nbh and other stuff. Is it possible to erase them? (I've removed the LEOIMG.nbh from SD Card already.)
If you help me I'll be grateful.

Normally, you should post this in either the HD2 ROM or the HD2 Q&A sub-forum...
If you've read the HSPL/HSPL2 thread, you would've seen this:
4) Uninstallation
Only way to remove the HSPL is to flash an original SPL from SD card.
- Take any "RUU_signed.nbh" from a ship ROM and copy it to SD card.
- Rename it to "leoimg.nbh"
- Reset the device while pressing the volume down button.
So basically: download the right official ROM from HTC for your device (this means: right language/vendor), rename to leoimg.nbh and flash from SD-card.
After this, just format your SD-card (or remove it, you shouldn't send it in normally) and you're done
Grtz,
Degake
Thank you degake.
When this progess is done, is it possible for to understand that I had flashed a custom rom before?
Will the boot screens return to default ones?

no- once you have placed an official rom and have removed hspl everything is back to stock (boot screen and all). no one will be the wiser.

Exactly.
If you flash the shipped ROM this way, HTC won't be able to tell if there was anything else installed prior to this flash (as the whole internal memory got wiped before installing the shipped ROM).
Grtz,
Degake
should he task 29 before doing this flash?

not necessary. just flash stock rom and then remove hspl- now is back to factory and ready to be sent in.

[Q] can't flash Rom Stuck at 0%

i have hspl 3 installed and have installed custom roms befor on this phone.
my problem now is that when i try to flash new rom it gets stuck on 0%, i have tried from the sd card and using RUU Custom installer with no luck .
also i have done a hard reset, also have tried to install HSPL3 again even that gets stuck at 0%.
Has anyone come across this before and is there a fix.
You said "i have tried from the sd card and using RUU Custom installer with no luck".
Why do you use RUU installer when flashing using a SD card?
All you need is a SD card with ROM in it, and start the flashing from the phone.

If you get really stuck just re-flash the rom that the phone came with - i.e. the official one from your mobile operator - and you should be fine. You can find them on the net if you don't have it (e.g. on the HTC web site).
You can then start putting custom roms back on it.
Good luck!

Flashing the original stock ROM over SD will remove HSPL, will bring your radio on the version who is integrated in stock ROM and brings you back on stock settings.
So the only thing you need to do is flashing over SD
thanks alot!

1) Download the correct Stock ROM from the HTC Webpage by using your S/N. (you will get a RUU_Leo_xxx_x.XX.xxx.x_Radio_xx.xx.xx.xU_x.xx.xx.x_LEO_Ship file.)
2) Right click on the RUU_Leo_xxx_x.XX.xxx.x_Radio_xx.xx.xx.xU_x.xx.xx.x_LEO_Ship file and select extract with 7Zip/WinZip
3) Prepared your SD-card (use a 2 or 4GB SD no bigger) and format it by FAT32
4)Take the "RUU_signed.nbh" from it and copy it to SD card.
5) Rename the "RUU_signed.nbh" to "leoimg.nbh"
6) Reset the device while pressing the volume down button
7) Follow the instructions mention on your screen

Get start to give us some more device information.
- witch Rom version do you have now?
- Radio version?
- SPL/HSPL version?
i tried to flash the latest official HTC ROM: "HTC_HD2_5CRUU_Leo_S_HTC_GER_3.14.407.2_Radio_15.42.50.11U_2.15.50.14_LEO_S_Ship" to get shure its no ROM problem.
Radio i had on my HD2 was: Radio_Leo_2.15.50.14 witch worked well for the last 3 months!
HSPL is: 2.08HSPL
i also had to say that before that i flashed gingerbread on NAND. working fine (exept battery drain and the default known ROM problems
an there i had also a VOL (-) problem (see http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=906881)
because of that i wanted to change back to WM.
and thats the state know!
i first thought my bad usb-connector causes flash problem (i found 2 bad made conntacts under the microscope), thats why i flashed wia SD now.

First of all remove your HSPL; HSPL and stock ROM 3.14 isn't compatible and create lot of issues/problems.
allready done (by flashing via SD) ?!
as written here:
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=623402
for me it looks like WM is missing a sound file or something like that, and thats why it permanetly switch down VOL.
because i get a "file missing" windows for a few ms, but there is no concret file name so i don't now really whats missing
is this possible?
i solved it!
I've got no idea why but its working!
I started the SD update process once more (the third time now
(nothing changed!)
what I've done is i waited after reboot till it locked it selves (screen black)
but i think that made no difference
probleme there again
once more bad news.......tomorrow mornig my HD2 is going crazy again :'(
actual state: my VOL(-) button isn't working.
so i think the real problem was my (know) defect VOL (-) button.
sometimes working sometimes not....

[Q] HD2 spl 3.03 bricked (WSOD)

Hi
My friend has asked me to help him try and fix his phone, I was telling him about android for the HD2. He got it working and was happy till it locked up (in android) and pulled the battery out. It went to WSOD on boot with no red writing or the green htc logo, I’ve had a look at it. You can get in to bootloader, but when trying to reflash the phone it fails. The bootloader is SPL-3.03.0000, I've read different threads but can’t find a solution. Is there anyway getting it fixed or should I just give it back to him and say it’s beyond repair.
Thanks
When you tried to flash it did you use a USB or external card?
I'd try to flash stock ROM via SD and see if that gets you back.
I tried both usb and then sd both of which fails. Ive tried MTTY and did a task 29 which did not fix it either. Thanks

Task 29 isn't compatible with spl 3.03 sir [reason stock ROM 3.14 isn't compatible with HSPL]
If I was you try to download the correct 3.14 stock ROM from HTC webpage and flash it over SD.
There are a few options:
A bent battery pin - since the problem started after you removed the battery.
A corrupted microSD Card - Android runs off the SD Card and a corrupted one will stop the phone booting properly.
Trying to flash a 3.14 ROM version that the phone is not allowed to run, ie the 3.14 Orange UK ROM when the phone is a T-Mobile UK one.

Ive checked all the pins and have made sure it makes contact to the battery.
I have tried a vodafone rom which has also failed.
Thank you all for the help.

Make sure you download the correct ROM with the problem phone's serial number (not yours). If it is the unbranded one then try the 1.66 WWE ROM, if it is branded to Vodafone, then download the 1.72 Vodafone ROM.
With no SIM or SD Card inserted, put the phone into Bootloader Mode, then connect to the computer. Run the downloaded ROM.
If this works then you could always use the same method to try the 3.14 ROM of the same type.
I want to thank everyone whos tried to help me with this. My friend has contacted HTC and gave his S/N to them and they said the phone is still under warranty even though it was bought second hand, they also said that WSOD was a common problem so will be repairing it for free. Once again thanks.

[Q] bricked HD2 .. it won't flash radio

hi,
i have brand new hd2 tmobile. the phone stuck on the tmobile logo and didn't start-up.. i tried to flash the original tmobile stock ROM ** i got it from tmobile website** but it stuck in the flashing and refused to finish flashing.
i tried to install the ROM from the sd card but it always freezes in the radio flashing process.
i installed hspl3. now i have 2.8.hspl and tried to install the original stock ROM again and cocked roms through RRU.exe flashing and the SD card but no luck.
Also i did task29. it wiped out every thing yet no luck .
btw i try to flash radio 2.10.50.x
all the radios i did were 50
i use the reset button every time coz the phone wont respond unless i use it.
Bricked HD2
Make sure it's in bootloader and flash 2.08 HSPL to it via HD Tool Kit...Let it reboot, and pull the battery..Let it sit for 30 seconds..But the battery back in,and flash radio for Leo 2.15.50.14.It should flash the radio with no problems then.Best of luck with it.
