[Q] what are normal battery stats in mA - Galaxy Tab 10.1 Q&A, Help & Troubleshooting

Hello everyone, I'm sure my question is an easy one, however, I have not been able to find the answer anywhere.
What are the normal mA battery drain stats for Samsung Galaxy Tab 10.1? I'm running the stock ROM.
I mean consumption in airplane mode, in normal sleep mode, in sleep mode with partial wake lock and in running mode with screen on.
on my HTC HD2 I know what to expect, but no idea what about this tablet. I just wanna have a benchmark to see how can I fix my battery life, and if it is normal.
Thank you all very much.

Hi! In my case (im on overcome mod) battery drainage is:
- 0,2% per hour in airplane mode on normal sleep
- when watching movies 720p - 9,2% per hour (airplane mode)
- when watching normal avi movies (700 mb DVDRip) - 7,2% per hour (airplane mode)
- but i noticed that on this rom there is big battery drainage when on 3-4G browsing internet (touching screen often) sometimes it reaches 15% per hour
In all of this cases brightness is on 25-30%.

Anyone else please? And in mA?

I concur with brightfly. If you want in mA then I already had posted my numbers... but here's recap.
500 mA idle when screen is at 15-20% WiFi is on
about 560 mA average browsing internet
600 mA movie for which there is hardware decoder
700 mA for some HD or software decoder
800 mA gaming with some intense graphic
1200mA idle with screen brightness 100%
I guess you have got the picture.

What about screen off? What's the consumption like? I feel that my 81mA are too much...

overclocking/underclocking with liberty to increase battery life?

any help????
my wife's battery life is so bad
I use set cpu and turn down the speed when the screen is off. My battery performance is almost equal to what I used to get from the Droid1. It'll last me all day with moderate usage,
I use SetCPU as well but I am a little more aggressive.
ScreenOff = 300Mhz
Less than 50% Batt = 800Mhz
Less than 25% Batt = 600 Mhz
I also have it set to throttle down to 800Mhz when temp goes above 50C but thats not really about Battery Life.
You really don't notice the lowered CPU at all. Especially during phone calls or TXTing.
I think the real savings is in the screen off. My guess is the stock automatic scaling is not doing a good enough job on it's own when the phone is sleeping. and most of our battery life was being blown away in standby.
With those settings I have been able to go almost a day and a half on a charge with moderate use where before even light use would only get me 6-8 hours.
And that is with a BP6 not a 7!
With those settings as your battery goes lower the longer it will take to drain. It really was remarkable.

Battery Temperatures normal?

My current setup is as follows
-Weekly #3
-Faux's 1.0GHz 0.2.3 (no UV)
-N_-1.77.30P radio on AT&T
The battery often reaches temperatures in the 40s (Celsius) and the CPU in the 50s.
This happens when I do normal activities like web browsing or texting.
I don't experience battery drain when using my phone as a feature phone.
If I play games, even the simplest ones like Angry Birds or Dragon Fly, my battery hits 45+ C and my processor into the high 50s. The battery drains almost 1% every 2 minutes when doing this.
If I listen to music (through headphones with Google Music app from the market and offline music), I lose 1% every 6 minutes (almost exactly) even with the screen off and device unused for that period.
My idle battery life is perfectly fine, often only losing 1-2%/hr without use.
Is this normal?
its extremely normal... lots of threads like this(could have searched?) if you want to improve it underclock. Also your phone will shut off automatically if it gets too hot so don't worry
i'm running CM7 and underclocked to 608 mhz and runs everything with no problem even some games then i crank it up if its really necessary in those settings my phone barely gets hot and has good battery life

indication of battery damage and battery life

sometimes battery percentage always stuck at one point for example at 65% or 85% and not moving when charging(phone on) if i restart it and suddenly it goes up to 99% is that from rom or need battery calibrated? or does my battery is damaged?
how long your battery last when playing 3D game or wifi browsing on airplane mode and every radio turned off + brightness on 5%?
already undervolt at minimum in dodova kernel with max speed at 1.2 ghz but the phone still get warm when playing 3D game near the camera,if i underclock it at 1ghz or maybe 800mhz will it save significant battery and reduce heat?

Dude, first of all, I'd suggest to stay away from under volting anything as it severely affects performance and life span of the hardware. It needs a lot of testing to get it correct, else it simply damages the hardware. Yes you may get more battery life but it wouldn't be a huge difference as per stock.
As per your first problem, simply calibrate your battery using battery calibrator from the market. Do this with defaults volt values.
As for 3d games, yes mine too gets hot but that is due to the gpu as well, so underclocking only the cpu won't help. And if you underclock both of them, then it will affect gameplay.
My phone lasts for at least four hours with mobile network on, but that is because I am using a 3460mah battery, not the default one.
thank you for answering
i just want to play 3D game above 2 hour more i will calibrate my battery and trying to underclock than undervolt it to 1 ghz , on 1.2 ghz is still play gta 3 all max with smooth framerate

dripping current from screen

hey
i start webbing the net and set the brightness to half sun [30% or 40%]
and got that leakage
2% of battery for one min of webbing very high
i played a bit with the brightness and it went down
i test it at power saving gov'
0% bright = 150 mA
100% bright = 350mA
very abnormal no ?
here pics with battery drain
edit:
using global FW
suil's sense4.1 rom
the transistor of the screen is not functional well ?
350 mA is pretty low actually, although I measure with Battery Monitor Widget by 3c.
Can you get GSAM Battery Monitor and post the results?
Sent from my HTC Rezound using Tapatalk 2
thx for reply i did the same test now
and still got 2% for min even on 0% bright
It's not screen, it's CPU using much current. Flash custom kernel and limit cpu max freq. and you will see much better battery life. I managed to have 6hrs of display on time while reading with same rom and funky kernel and cpu set to 500Mhz max in airplane mode

What are your average battery and cpu temperature

Hi all,
I just want to know your average battery and CPU temperature. Since some people got heat issue (device getting warm even normal use), it may be useful to share your results.
After standing by for an hour then 2 min of browsing the internet with full wifi signal, 26C room temp, mine are
41-42C CPU
34C battery
Then 7.49 mins of Youtube HD streaming
50C CPU
37C battery
(Firmware.402)

CPU Temperature (show as CpuTemp when installed)
Same here, seems to be the normal temperature for this phone,fw 17.1.A.2.55
