Currently, which rom are u using?
and initially, were u on stock 2.2 (froyo) or 2.3 (gingerbread)...when u had ur "connection" working?

i tryed this: http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1529777
the previous mod was 2.3.7

it may be because of u tried to flash a rom of different baseband....if u was initially on LG stock 2.3.3 then u should use rom wich have new baseband....nd If u was on stock 2.2 then old roms should be work fine...

so i can't istall newest roms??
gimme a link of a cool room whit latest android please!

you can install official GB from LG website. In this way you will get the new baseband automatically. After that, you can root the device (there are many guides available around), install from market clockworkmod recovery and install any new ROM from this site.
Good luck!

where i can find official lg p500 rom?

well, depends from country to country.. google should be your friend. For example, in Romania the address is

what rom do you suggest then?

Ok, but what ROM and baseband do you have now?
Sent from my LG-P500 using xda premium

if you want to use newest rom with new baseband then just upgrade your baseband....search for how to upgrade basebande in xda...there's a beautiful guide on that and it's quite safe i have changed mine 2 times already ;-)

Go here, read everything and STOP WHINING AROUND!!!!

now i have original lg rom updated... 2.3.3
but when it start it says wind... (f**king phone company)

Maybe the Rom you flash is not suitable for your sim, there are two version of Roms like milestone and droid
Milestone is for gsm
Droid is for the other one(i can't remember the name)
Or you should try stock Rom?
Sent from my LG-P500 using XDA

he already said that is official GB from LG.
If that is the case, maybe you shpuldtrywoth another SIM. Looks like a SIM issue to me.

[Q] Cyanogen Mod 7 custom kernel

Thank you , and sorry if there is a thread.
First get the rom on your SD card, flash baseband.52 and install the rom normally with recovery, nothing special is requires for flashing the kernal it is done automaticly. If you need help on how to flash use my guide from my sig

So that kernel is already inside and i need just to flash it using baseband .52 ?
You flash the baseband with the flashtool and the rom with recovery. The kernal is included yes. Read through my guide, it explains all about how to flash roms and basebands.

I really don't have a clue if that would work or not cos J's kernal is for 2.3 and wolfbreaks rom is 2.2. You could always just try it out to see if it works just make sure you back up up wit recovery first and if worst comes to worst flash with the flash tool and redo your set up.

you can use Trip rom as well , its very cool
i meanyt to say that if i install any rom will i loose my generic se firmware or data ?
You can always go back to general SE firmware by clicking repair in SEUS.
The data on your sdcard is usually safed when changing between ROMs. But to be sure you can make a backup in xRecovery. Or use an app like Titanium backup or My Backup Root.
Owner of Post,
Do you have the latest version of busybox installed yet and xrecovery yet, because if you don't, I or somebody else can help you. So post again and if you need it and I will post some links for you to use.

Here is flashtool that will help with many things with the x10 like rooting, new se firmwares, installing busybox, ect.
What is your baseband? I need to know before you do the following below.
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=920746
and here is the how to to use flashtool.
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?p=10879507#post10879507
since your phone is already rooted, install busybox with flashtool first then xrecovery with this link.
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=859571.
then pick on of the lovely ROMs with with the correct baseband you have.
im on 2.1.54

Good. Now you can use most if not all 2.2 ROMS. Go the busybox step then.

by the way, it doesn't matter if your phone is X10a or X10i. that just means your phone hardware frequency is different. you can use any custom ROM. I recommend Trip's GB MiUI ;-)

u should try wolfbreak's custom rom in the android development section since your baseband is on .54 if not you have to take the trouble to flash your baseband to .49 or 52 for trips rom
Thanks Guys

LG P500H // From stock to custom rom

Hi,
I have an LG Optimus P500H running Android 2.2.1
Kernel is: 2.6.32.9
Baseband is: V10b
3G/UMTS Frequency is: 850/1900
Phone is already rooted with Gingerbreak 1.20.apk
I would like to know if I can flash Amon-Ra recovery without any issues and If I can flash any custom rom without loosing 3G connectivity.
I ask this because P500H is different from P500 (with no "H").
Looked for a straight answer on the forum but coul not find it.
Best Regards.
I have the koodo version as well. I haven't experienced any issues thus far. If you're going to be using new baseband roms I'd suggest you use lgmobile updater and grab official gingerbread then re root and begin flashing. If you're sticking to old baseband you're good to go. Old = v10 base new= v20base

If you lose your data in any ROM just google koodo data and it should be second post and it'll give apn settings. Or just reply and I'll give I the settings

I will try it then to check If I lose 3g.
Bye
I am having trouble updating the baseband...
I have tried many roms with v20b and v20a and I only get 2G connection... No 3G.
Only stock and v10b roms get me 3G, thus I can't flash any custom rom as they all need new baseband.
You need to flash stock gingerbread ROM via lg update tool or kdz

Or read through the ROM of your choice and see if baseband fix will work. Do a little searching as to how. The answers are all already here

[Q] About OLD baseband and New Baseband.

Hi everyone
I want some help....I am new to android..
I have LG optimus onw p509 (USA version of p500). And I want to install new custom rom...but there are some topics abt OLD baseband and New Baseband.
1) Whats difference between OLD baseband and New Baseband.?
2) Is P509 belong to which one? (OLD baseband ord New Baseband.)
3) How can I find my P509 s' baseband?
Thanks
Old and new basebands refer to the old and new updates. If you had updated your phone to gingerbread(2.3.3) or it had come with GB then you have new baseband. If your phone came with froyo(2.2.1) then you have the old baseband.
You can check your baseband by
Menu > settings > about phone. There you will find your baseband version. You can Google the version and you'll know which baseband is it.
Press thanks if I helped you!!!!

update your phone to 2.3 with lg tool and you have new base band
Or you can probably go to the service centre and have them do it if you're confused.

See if you can tell me your country and I will upload your software with new baseband. You can then flash it to your phone. (The coming weekend, since my exams will be over day after tomorrow)
Also if you want your phone to be Awesome, you'd like to have the new baseband.

Yes. I'm running 7.2 on a P509 with the old baseband. There is a baseband fix posted somewhere in the CM7 thread(s). You can flash that after you flash the ROM. I think I read that you can also run CM10 on the old baseband, but I haven't been following the CM10 threads closely.

You are on old baseband. You will find new baseband flashing guide in this forum!!
You cant check baseband in stock rom's ABOUT.
You can flash any rom even if you are on old baseband using BB fixes and patches
Use CWM 5.0.2.0 oldBB recovery. Flash it through rom manager. BBfixes and patches dont work with many recoveries.
Before flashing anything.. make sure you have unlocked your P509. Search this forum.. you will find everything!!

I've seem some Gingerbread roms that support both basebands but I don't think ICS roms work the same. I Think you need new BB for them
