[Q] "[ROM][CWM][XXLPQ/DXLP7][ICS][4.0.3] Odexed & Deodexed Stock Roms" calendar???
Hi,
I've installed ROM that I mention on the title and I have a problem that my calendar is missing? Why it is missing and how to get it back? I would have made this question in that wanam's thread but still missing my 10th post...

Yes the problem is with stock PQ / P7 as well as the cooked ones.
I have to try the odexed instead of deodexed...may worth trying.
The strange thing is that nobody reported this issue all are talking of icons color or ics color and lauchers...! and AOSP horrible white and raw mail / exchange and other apps...
Please notify if you manage to get calendar back, because I'm desperate and I need that calendar...

I know there is a thread with a modded mms.apk but that's only for deodexed roms and not for the stock rom.
I would really like to stay with my stock rom with cf kernel, so i have root but don't need anything else.
However, it seems that nobody has ever made a modified sms/mms app for the stock version.
Why is that? Not possible or simply no one asked for it? I cannot post in the actuall mod thread yet, hence I'm asking here

I have put the latest ICS leak on my SGS2 which funny enough I find better and more stable than the official XXLPQ.
The only things I miss are the stock ICS apps such as the ICS calendar, stock Email for Exchange, stock dialer/people apps etc ... but I also kind of like Touchwizz launcher and would like to keep it.
I have downloaded the latest gapps but is it safe to flash these over a Samsung ROM and would it bring the stock ICS apps that I am after?
I have searched on the forum and found few threads about stock apps but not really what I am after.
Any ideas?

I am trying to get the Email app from the CM9 ROM installed onto my LP3 stock Samsung ICS.
I have tried to copy Email.apk and Exchange.apk to /system/app but that doesn't work, the app is not visible under settings/applications...
I would love to get the stock ICS apps (sms, contacts, email, agenda) on the Samsung ROM (LP3) which I find very stable

I am unable to post in dev section of the forums.
After using so many custom roms I went back to stock and atm I got NeatROM (deodexed stock). The only issue I have is when I switch to 182 dpi the dialer and launcher is messed up. Tried looking everywhere but I can't seem to find a modded version and custom roms have different dialers/launchers anwyay (not the samsung ones)
Anyone able to help with this?

ics stock dialer and launcher dont have multi dpi mod as of now. you have to use any other alternative launcher

You can use Go launcher + go contacts with go keyboard. Works fine

Just tried few AOKP ROMS.. like AOKP, Omega etc..
I liked the included messaging app the best, specially the option to disable sender name and/or the entire message content's to be hidden.. It really sort out one of my biggest problem in Android Stock ROMs.
Now is there any way if I flash my Stock ROM yet can use such kind of messaging apps or mms.apk from AOKP ROMs cause replacing my original mms.apk with AOKP mms.apk didn't help anyhow.

Hello, XDA. I just recently made an eBay purchase for my Galaxy Mega i527 a few days ago. Came with a broken screen, did a replacement, and so on and so forth... Anyhow, I just recently rooted it, did a semi-debloat of stock apps, and customized it largely through Xposed (seeing as how the bootloader is locked. Won't make the mistake of buying a phone like this again.)
However, now that I have the whole thing just about the way I want it, there's just a few minor inconveniences. My biggest peeve right now is that fact I've themed damn near the whole ROM in a darker tone. Yet, I can't seem to properly change the colors of either the Phone/Dialer or Contacts. Anything I do to it through Xposed modules give me a very half-themed result that looks utterly terrible.
So my question is, is there anyone with a Mega 6.3 who has themed / customized their Dialer and Contacts apk? And would there be any way to share said things? If not, would I be safe in decompiling the apks myself and trying to theme them? I just don't want to replace these system apks and after the past 9 hours I've spent customizing this thing, having a soft-brick that I then have to go through the trouble of using Odin/Kies to flash stock back.
I rooted it using the Kingo Root method/application and I'm on Jelly Bean 4.2.2. Thanks in advance for anyone who can help me.

Have you tried pushing the stock dialer and contacts.apk from the stock i9200 rom to the stock i527 rom? does it work? the i527 dialer and contacts have white theme but i want the dark theme of stock i9200 but i don't have the file to push

I already tried pushing the stock dialer and contacts from a i9205 deodexed megafire custom rom but i get force close when opening the dialer/contacts perhaps it needs an odex file which i can only get from someone running stock if they would upload the apk + odex files here
