What the hell are you posting this here for?
It baffles me sometimes when people post crap like this in dev forum.

This isn't Original Android Development.

I will be getting a SGS2 soon and i need to know how to update

yeah i heard of that while i was reading a post.
ummm i think if u detailed that a bit more would be helpful!
Two update methods
Kies and OTA OTA is not yet rolled out worldwide .
No update via Kies or OTA means your phone has not yet an update .
KIES = Samsung .com support software .
Guide
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1125282
Ignore Samfirmware for now as you know nothing .
Alternative update path via XDA stock Samsung roms can be flashed often a later version than generally available full roms and instructions are here .
Stock Roms .and csc

I want to update my SGS2 to 2.3.6 australia (Vodaphone) but all
i could find was some random letters like ( XJEMD )
Thanks.
At the top of the first post in intratechs thread linked in the above post you will find another link to carrier specific firmware.
Find the carrier (Vodafone Australia) and download the latest one.
Also checkout the Australian thread.

[Q] Re upload the vodafone australia csc

Hey guys,
I was just wondering since multi/megaupload are both down would it be possible to re upload one of the Individual CSC Packages from http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1075278 onto a different website that is still accessible. specifically the vodafone australia ones. it would be greatly appreciated as i am still a noob at flashing
Actually instead of the CSC for vodafone australia, could someone just re upload the official vodafone au carrier software that normaly came from here http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1113928 because i need the whole file and im guessing all that use vodafone in australia will also really appreciate if anyone can help us Btw the latest version would be preferable (DUKJ1) but all are good
Do a search on here for Checkfus.
You can use it to download KJ1 (as this would also normally be available on Kies). I did this myself a couple of weeks ago in case I need to return my phone to stock for whatever reason.
I really need vodafone au stock rom. My phone turns off automatically. Any one can guide me to the specific links.
Many thanks

You got a free thanks due to my fat fingers As per my above post, search on here for Checkfus, download it (small app - couple of hundred kb, takes 30 seconds to DL), then use it to find/download Voda KJ1 stock. Flash this package in the PDA section of Odin (follow the guide here)

Is there a relationship between multiupload URLs and URLs on the various download sites? All the files must be up somewhere, even if megaupload is down.

I need official firmware i9100XWKE2

XWKE2: http://www.multiupload.com/4Q0HJJUE51
Firmware info: PDA: XWKE2 Phone: XXKDJ CSC:O2UKE1
The link above is down. I don't understand why they keep links that are down and these links have been down for about a month.

That also has link to multiupload which doesnt work
Those Multiupload links will likely never be active again on Multiupload or anywhere else.
Search Samfirmware.com
Suspect the links are left up one in the hope that the legal side of Multiupload may be restored and two that its a big job to prune all the dead links on XDA ..
Notable that all those who wine about dead links etc are to lazy to actually help in that matter and to lazy to actually search for the firmware but want it all on a plate .

how to find the region of my galaxy S3 gt i9300

Guys i"ve been having an issue with my wifi cutting in and out or functioning when it wants too. So i decided to call amazon where i bought the phone and see about returning it for a refund so i could get another s3. They agreed as long as i called samsung to see if they could help me with my issue first. Long story short after being transferred between 2 different samsung service centers, the guy that i talked to last said i needed to find out what region it was from. How can i find this out? He even googled it while on the phone with me and said he couldn't find anything. i've been searching somewhat and can't come up with anything. Little help would be appreciated.:good:
Try this
I recommend CSC Select v 1.1.

CSC nothing to do with WiFi .
You want to know where the phone came from and what firmware region . If you wiped the phone then only the seller may know the source unless a clue is on the box .

oh ok, I guess I misunderstood some of the posts then
thanks man
Unfortunately the leaked beta test firmware is marked by some posters as official .
Where rejected by Samsung as a valid firmware release is a much better description .

On Sammobile there are new OTA for Sweden it seems they are official

Needed PDA XXBLFB

Hardly rejected, they were built as development roms so.... were never going to be official. Samsung don't build full roms then go "is this good enough to release? no? ok lets leak it"

Please don't give people the wrong information.
It was not rejected. It's a development version, a TEST build. You do know what that means, don't you?

For me their has never been any evidence that the leaks are anything but steps in the development of the finished firmware .
Rejected as in fail or only an experiment or step 3 of 10 on the road to a full finished product .
Whatever they are they are billed as official leaks on XDA now to many noobs official means full finished warranted by Samsung firmware .Not leaked work in progress development roms .
