Here's one for ICS, if your on GB ill try and find one for ya.
Go to your "system/app" folder and rename your Calendar.apk to Calendar.apk.bak, then copy the one I attached, from your download location to your "system/app" folder, change the permissions to match the original Calendar.apk. Then reboot into recovery, 'Clear cashe', Clear 'dalvik cashe' and 'Fix Permissions' then reboot.

Whats is happening with the stores updates ?
Very useful and perfectly working on Note3/Cyanogenmod 4.4.3 Nightly. Only the color tab selection isn't implemented... maybe yet ?
Thanks again, Pax.

There is a group called team black out. I used to download there apps. They literally offer so many apps. If I can find a link I'll post it below.

Request for some apps file

Hi guys,
I have recently make a wrong decision with my Gs2. I tried to use Titanium backup to change All Sharing and Social Hub as a User Application. And that result in these apps disappear from my phone. I tired to put the dlna.apk and social-hub.apk back to the "system/app" while nth new come back after a reboot. I think that's because i miss the odex file related to the apps. As I am using Offical Hong Kong Rom KG2, would somebody like to help me by uploading those files [dlna, social hub apk&odex]
Thanks

I have tried this list and put those apk in to system/app, yet the program have not come back even after a reboot.....
I use Root Explorer for installing .apk files.
Can you not download Social Hub and DNLA via Samsung Apps?

I got those APKs from the list you have posted.
And install them by using root explorer
My way to install is to move from sdcard to "/system/app"
I even changed the permission of the apks but still they don come back
thanks!

I never move them before installing - just put them on internal SD and install from there. Try it?

Try applications>manage applications>clear cache and maybe clear data for those apps if they are there.
Otherwise I'm out of ideas...

Good luck. Don't suppose you've got a full backup via CWM or you'd have reflashed it, right?

yeah, and gonna try to flash some awesome rom too
Attached are both apps' apk & odex files.
Hope it helps mate
I don't think you can install system files with root explorer, you need to flash it through recovery. I was having the same problem and flashing worked for me.

You just push them to the /system/app/ folder and reboot - that's all a recovery zip would do.
Thx Guys!!!!
My finally method was reflash the official rom..... that nearlly kill me as i have to reorder the application icon which take me an hour to finish that....
I don know how to use the recovery method but hope this post would help others who face the same problems.
Btw is there any apps to backup the order of icon in Application page? Rearranging them again is damn horrible if u got tons of apps......

Accidentally deleted the stock Camera.apk

So I was using Titanium Backup and accidentally deleted the camera app without a backup so I am hoping someone can send me the Note I717 stock camera APK...thank you!
galaxy note I717 camera.apk
I tried sending via PM but evidently the site was having problems with me sending a PM. I would be more than happy to send it to you. What is your email address?
[email protected]
thank you so much
you should have mail (;
i got it thanks, but the app will not install, do i drop the file in a specific folder?
should go in "system/app"
im gonna have to odin reflash the stock software cause it's not working, thank you for all your help tho, i do appreciate it
You're welcome, sorry it didn't work out for you.
i did an odin flash without factory reset and I didn't lose any information. I just had to re-root, camera is back and all works well

Glad to hear that.
This same thing happend too me today, I was trying to install a mod for the samsungcamera.apk and i copied a back up of the camera.apk and went to install the modded one but it wont let me..so i said screw it ill go back to the stock one..and when i click on it too install it says application not installed.
Soo..in other words im SOL but ill have a look around and see where i can find a resolution. The problem isnt that i dont have the stock camera.apk cuz i do have a back up its just it refuses too install now... ughhh Lol
***UPDATE***
I could not install the samsungcamera.apk stock & the modded one.
I tried everything possible..flashing it through cwm as a .zip file & had signature verification turned off
even tried copying and pasting manually..
What I just resorted to just installing camera360 from the playstore..
this solved my issue of not having a camera at all.
Remember i tried re-installing the original camera.apk that i backed up and for some
reason it wouldnt let me install it. Dunno if it had to do with permissions or just because its a system app.
But im glad i have camera360 i have alot of new features and filters Go filters!! haha
still if anyone has a resolution to installing the apk let us now im desperate!!!

Extract the apk from the rom zip. Copy it to the system/app directory on your phone. Set permissions to match other apps in system rw-r-r. Reboot.
It may or may not work. If it doesn't, just delete it, no harm done.

Can't select a live wallpaper

Seems that I've lost this functionality some time ago, I don't have the option of selecting "Live Wallpaper" from the appropriate menu.
I'm using CyanogenMod 7.2.4

Remove something like live wallpaper pick up
You mean a certain .apk that used to deal with the live wallpapers? If so then which one is it?
*bump*

That might be what you are missing. Look with a file manager that has root access in /system/app and see if you have the LiveWallpaperPicker.apk . If not, try that one linked above. You have to place it into /system/app and set permissions to rw-r-r and reboot. If that doesn't work, then look in the original zip of your rom and see if it's there.
Thanks! That is indeed the file that I removed. (and now I'm feeling silly for it)
I tried to place the file that you provided under /system/app, and setting the right permissions, but still, nothing shows up in the menu, just the option to select a static wallpaper.
The same happens with the both the .apk and .odex file from the ROM's zip archive...
You can just reflash the rom without wiping. Well, wipe the cache and dalvik, and then reinstall the rom and Gapps. This will put everything back in place while not wiping your data.

anyone have the live wallpaper apk?

so after rooting my phone, i was deleting some of the garbage that came with it through titanium backup. unfortunately, i deleted the live wallpaper picker that came with the phone. Anyone know how to get it back, or get a 3rd party one?

P.S., regarding the System partition, I do have a system file uploaded, it is taken after it is rooted, it is file level zip, not dd image:

Is this what you need? I'm pretty you would need a root file manager to put this back in /system/app. Also make sure to set the permissions once you've gotten it in place.
