Stumbled across this game today in the market and it's ridiculously addicting. Plays great on the touchpad.

I'm downloading right now, looks fun.

I love PewPew2

Just gotta say, if you're looking for an addictively fun shooting game that's very similar to Geometry Wars, look no further than PewPew (free) or PewPew2 ($3 I think).
Online leaderboards and downloadable replays of the high scores. And catchy music!
I played the original for a bit and needed to get the sequel which even has a campaign mode.
I'm currently running PP2 on CM7.0 but I did run the original game on rooted stock Eclair.
Does anybody else out there love this game?
I downloaded this one off the Amazon market while it was a free app of the day. I really like it. It runs incredibly smooth. The music is great. I just still have to figure out the goal of campaign. But it is good game though.

I love it as well! Got it free from Amazon, maybe I'm terrible, but I can't even beat the easy boss
That first boss drove me nuts for days! I finally realized that he only shoots you when your bullets hit his shield. Fly around and take time to set up your shot. Then if you miss and hit his shield just wait out the barage(don't shoot back). Rinse. Repeat.

Realistic HD Zombie FPS - Aftermath XHD

Ok, so if youve read any of my previous game posts you probably realize that i like first person shooters and that i love zombies.. ive been waiting for a game like this for quite awhile! "Aftermath XHD" is the best zombie game ive played on android and it runs beautifully on the nook. its a bit pricey at $5.99, but well worth it.

More of a 3rd Person Shooter but looks much better than Gun Bros, Minigore or GuerrilaBob. Thanks for the heads up!
Looks sweet, I love zombies.
Are there options to play with a bluetooth controller?
How far have you gotten? I bought this about a week ago, and I love it. But I can't get past Fattie's Ruin. The explosions from the grenades freeze the game.

im on the level right after fatties ruin. everything ran fine for me.. what setup are you using?
edit: it wasnt until i hit a group of 4 or more zombies with a grenade that made it crash.. small groups of 1 or 2 are just fine. anymore than that is askin for a crashin :-(

T-Racer HD

I saw this game featured in the nVidia Tegrazone application and thought it looked promising. Now I see its finally out and getting trashed in its market reviews. Anyone here give it a shot yet?
Also if anyone has some game recommends I'd appreciate it. I'm a long time PC gamer and I've found the contemporary "casual gaming" trend abhorrent compared to the quality and depth I'm used to. While still fairly poor at least the iPhone had some legit games. Anything worth playing on my Atrix?

RipTide is a very good game. Fun factor is great and graphics are amazing and smooth. Galaxy on Fire 2 is expensive after the initial free part but its very fun. The game offers 6-9 hours of gameplay and building up your ship gets addictive. Check out gamelofts website, its got some good games that you woudl be used to from your iphone.

OnLive released for Andrdoid

OnLive's gaming app was released today for Android... you can find it on the market at
https://market.android.com/details?id=com.onlive.client
I don't have my NC with me, but I tried it out on my phone. It works at least! I didn't really get to play much but hey, it's there
FYI, there is a special controller that is coming later this month too (tomorrow?), although it's supposed to be $50. Hopefully it at least comes with a free game.
PS. if you sign into onlive through the app, you can get Lego Batman for free.
Anyone have the .apk file so we can try it out? It doesn't show up in the market for my T-mobile Samsung galaxy s 2

People in the article on engadget mentioned it was posted at http://onlivefans.com. I didn't find it just by looking quickly, but maybe try a search
I got it, ill post it soon. It's running laggy on my NC but I bet its my crappy 3mb internet connection, since i keep getting a message that my connection dropped lower than the minimum
Here is the apk hope it works
Ok, cool. I'm interested in the new controller they have coming out. I did not find much information on if you could use other controllers, but it sounded like "no" for Android: http://onlivefans.com/showthread.php?14160-The-Controller-FAQ
I haven't been able to try it on my NC yet, but on my phone the graphics were fairly blurry but it was mostly pretty responsive (just navigating the UI and playing the first couple seconds of Lego Batman). I was on 3G because Verizon's having another 4G outage apparently, so I'll have to see how it goes on my home wifi or 4g when it comes back.
Anyone having issues with not finding in Market or the apk not side loading likely can go to onlive.com/hardware_mobile and click the Market link that shows there. Had to change my dpi to 160 to install but worked great after that. I had to go this route on my 2 bionics and the NC.
It runs great on CM 7.1.0.1 (Stable)
I tried playing games on my Nook Color like N.O.V.A. 2 HD and after getting my @$$ handed to me in the game because the NC wasn't fast enough to respond to my controls I tried the OnLive game service and I have to say it's pretty sweet.
I didn't notice any lag whatsoever when I played a few minutes of LEGO: Batman and I was using the on-screen touch controls the whole time since I don't have their universal game controller.
I'm not a serious gamer but my 5 year old is really getting into it. He already is monopolizing time on my other android devices playing games. Since LEGO: Batman is his favorite at the moment I've been forced to drag out the old Playstation 2 console out of the closet. Now that I've got this to work on my NC I can get rid of the PS2 finally and contain all of his gaming on the NC.

For all who can't download sonic data

My blog site Land of Droid has the fix for sega's sonic game. Normally you can't download the data so we provide you with the data and you place it in Android/data
Link
The game runs well on the tablet and is fun
my data downloaded no problem. I wish it was more tablet optimized. the phone app being stretched looks kinda distorted. itcouldve easily looked sharper. great game though. the genesis, snes and n64 emulators great also.

alot of people cant download data you got luck and yeah but i think its suppose to look pixilated and rough like a retro game. although it could have looked nicer fun to play though
i had the same problem... i put my prime on wifi and set to never disconnect.
i started sonic and said YES to download additional data and left it sitting at 3% wher eever it stopped at and just let it sit for about an hour.
came back and it said complete.
this was after several attempts and every time i touched the screen the progress indicator would disappear which was frustrating.
just being patient and leaving it untouched for about an hour allowed it to download.
Using this makes the process done in about 5 minutes
