Finally! Phone.apk with HD contacts and better layout - Sony Ericsson Xperia Mini, Mini Pro, Xperia Pro, A

Hi guys!!
After much wandering around apktool and photoshop and decompiling and recompiling, I'm finally successful at getting the right layout for my phone.apk
This is my first contribution to xda... Thanks to all the help I received from here...
Here's the screenshot..

Please, do convey how this works on your phone..

Sync hi-res facebook contact images
Also, if anyone could tell me if i can sync facebook contacts in high resolution, that would be great...
The i wouldnt have to attach images of people manually..

More info please, like is this stock based? Which rom? ICS compatible? I can see that you are using cm7

Yes, this is the stock Phone.apk of cyanogenmod 7.2 rc0...
I think it should work with all cyanogenmod roms..
I need people to test it and see if it works..

My 4.0.2.A.0.62 is using SemcPhone.apk.
I tried to changed the name and put it inside app folder and it just give me the Phonebook.apk error when I tried to dial a call.
I like the HD idea, but is there any working apk for my 62 versioN?

Does it works for ICS roms? It looks good and usable. I think you can use icons more in touch with the new interface of ICS

Hi..
Well, the apk works only on Cyanogenmod 7.2..
I havent tried out the same with semcphone.apk.. Apparently its giving problems while decompiling..
I'll try it out tomorrow, and if successful, I'll post it..

Could you move picture a bit upper, so it shows square image?
currently, part of picture gone.

yes i deliberately did that to get an effect of the call screen from the stock rom..

Do you mean fading effect at the bottom?
ok. I'm from another phone (CM7.2), will re-crop all contacts's photo, then.
I have another question. Do you intentionally put smaller answer/decline buttons?
or is it because I'm from another device rom base? If it is not by another rom base, which image file should I replace in order to get my original buttons? Your picture layout is perfectly fit the screen, but buttons are a bit too small for my finger. Please refer to attachment

Works like a charm on my DHD running CM7.2
Thanks!!

Not working on stock rom unrooted
HAAAAAAX!!!

Hey, you can try my way for big call screen pictures :good:

Is anyone successful in extracting this Galaxy Tab wallpaper?
http://www.55tablets.com/wp-content/uploads/2011/03/samsung-galaxy-tab.jpg
That's not an official Honeycomb wallpaper, at least not that I know of.
You can grab them all here. The one I use is Glowy Hex, looks awesome on my Tab:

The beauty is that you don't need to rebuild the launcher2.apk to insert those images... if you sync your tablet with a Google account, all you have to do is upload your preferred wallpaper to Gallery and use it as background.
If you ever flash your tablet or do a permanent erase, once you restore your Google account, it will also restore your background even if the image is not present anymore in your tablet sdcard. I was surprised to see that, when I did a complete wipe. It took a while, but eventually the background popped... I don't remember if it showed after I restarted the tablet... I know that after the initial app re-sync it was not there but it showed like magic 15-20min later on my tablet.
I don't suppose anyone has the TouchWiz wallpapers in a zip file?

The message you have entered is too short. Please lengthen your message to at least 10 characters.

Yes you can
Is it ass easy ass just copy "defaultthemes.apk" into system/app witht the permisions of the original file and reboot? Ill answer my own question: Yes it is..I didnt even have to reboot.
Would you mind editing the "White" theme to having grey and white text boxes in the text app?
The pink was kind of "to mutch".
Is this difficult to port to xperia mini?
Sent from my ST15i using xda premium
are only the pictures changed or also the status bar ?
Looks nice thanks for this
Thanks so much... very nice themes.
great job, just hope to include better wallpapers.. anyhow thanx and keep it up
I managed to add themes to the package instead of overwriting them. Just decompile and add your files using unique names. Then make sure the uid's are sequential (+1, use a hex-dec generator). Or you can use the file from my Black and White theme as a base for 10 additional wallpapers.
Thanks, it worked on my Neo V rooted, with locked bootloader.
Had to reboot to get themes working.
Is there any easier way to keep stock themes and just add this new themes, instead of overwriting?
i really like the white one.. but can you change the color in messages.. its pink -_-
is work with rom 4.0.2.a.62?
great theme works well

You need to change Infinieview.apk in system/app, i'm not sure if the gb apk willl work with ics though, i dont have the apk.
Sorry.
I highly doubt that the GB infinieview will work on ICS!
I don't like it either but in AOKP and in CM9 it's really great!

4.2 Clock Widget and 4.2 Camera Icons

Hey guys;

Clock Widget
I was searching around the GNex Forums and stumbled along this: http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1964389 Sadly, it didn't work on CM10 for the i777 because we have a HDPI device, not a XHDPI device. I resized the images and it works great (I DIDN'T MAKE THESE IMAGES MYSELF, I JUST RESIZED THEM). Tested only with CM10, but if it works on another ROM, then let me know and I'll update the description. It doesn't delete anything so give it a try and see if it works on another ROM. (NewClockWidget.zip)
Camera Icons
This is something I was looking for for a really long time. Ultimately, I couldn't find any versions of this, so I found a Nexus 10 screenshot, and managed to crop and edit the Camera icon out. Also, I learned that XXHDPI is 144x144px for those who care. I'm uploading the icons as PNGs (all four sizes) as well as a zip for CM10 ONLY. (NewCameraIcons.zip)
We use the same ROM
Yay

Because it wasn't made for that ROM or device...
goo work, thanks.
is the photosphere working in this camera?
This isn't the 4.2 Camera app. It's just the 4.1.2 Camera from the i777 nightly (i forget which one) with the new icon. It doesn't have any new features. If anything, it's just a resource for the images.

They're not in the regular android framework, they're in the touchwiz framework. (TW_framework-res or something)

Technically that would mean that you mustn't uninstall TouchWiz ?

There is no way you can uninstall TouchWiz just like that. Do note that I am referring to the TouhchWiz framework, not the launcher SecLauncher2.apk (TouchWiz Home)
Have a look in settings.apk or secsettings.apk
Can't remember what TW uses
Edit.. Scratch that, you're looking for the background images, not the text? As shawty says, twframework-res.apk
Edit2.. Look for tw_list_section_divider_holo_light.9.png / tw_list_section_divider_holo_dark.9.png in framework-res, that should be the smaller one...
