Heres what happened... A good friend of mine did a factory reset soon after I rooted her phone because sms stoped working. now it wont boot to anything other then Download mode and only after many trys to even get it to do that. I have flashed and mods lots of phones before but I cant get anything to work with this phone. the one program I found and thought might work has a dead link and no where on the net can I found it. if anyone has any ideas please help or even the ROMTools v2.3.1 (ex-recoveryflasher) I could try all that I have collected.. Its not serious just follow this guide and you should be good.http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1090687 In hindsight, you should tell everyone when you root their phone "Don't factory reset!"

i have installed clockworkMod this morning and then hit create recovery. after that my phone got stuck with the LG logo screen.

If it can't find your phone, then i don't know how you could do it....

Unortunatedly, this is my first post and i will be asking for help rather than helping :/
So... my father came in a week ago with a chinese android phone that i cant tell what phone it is trying to replicate exactly.... thing is, no matter how much i look for this phone i cant find anything about it, i already searched a lot on how to fix this proble but to no avail...
I can give more details if you need them), but basically this is my problem:
I got a chinese phone that runs on 4.2.2, and after working a lot, i managed to install supersu via framaroot(superuser would not work properly).
Thing is, being the inpatient person i am, before backing up anything, or installing a recovery rom or any costum rom, i decided to check some apps that required root.
I downloaded the app anim mod *root* because i thought it was a good idea to change the animations of my phone
HERES THE PROBLEM i used this app and i could see how it was changing things in my system files, it then asked for a reboot, and now it wont get past the boot animation and it freeses right there, i can enter factory mode(which is in chinese and i did look up for a translation) and recovery mode:
In both modes i was able to reset the phone but the problem is still there, ive literally have been searching whole days now and i am quite frustrated.
My question: what should i do to fix this? i have root but no recovery rom , so is there a way i can install a costunm rom just to try?
If the case is that i changed a system file (animations) how can i change them through my pc? does a reset from the stock recovery reset the system files aswell?
I am new to this, but i am willing to learn and try everything that could fix this.
If anyone wants to help, you can ask me whatever you want, i can upload pictures if you want to help me identify it or the specs i managed to get from factory mode.

Hello I'm a user of a Sky Vega Iron (IM-A870)
And I need desperate help.
It's not an ordinary boot loop I wish it was, here's the story.
I rooted my phone just to let you know.
So I installed the wrong version of cwd recovery on my phone and so when I go into recovery mode the screen will turn like this.

But it wasn't a big deal I just didn't use it.
Now is the deal I decided to update my phone to stock kitkat that the vega devs supported themselves with vega station(the stock updating app)
And when it started installing it suddenly went into cwm.
I wasn't that worried at the moment just tried pulling the battery out and rebooting but...it started a boot loop.
I can't navigate cwm because of the way it is and I'm stuck. Is there another way to factory reset? or to get out of the loop?
Maybe a way to get rid of cwm and get back to stock recovery mode? Please help I need help until tomorrow! (personal reasons)
I searched online hours for solutions yet I can't find one.
Please help. I'm begging anyone out there.

I'm using Lenovo A766, Android 4.2.2. My device is a rooted android. I have a problem that just happened last night. I tried to install 'Chainfire 3D'. To those who know how Chainfire 3D works, I'd appreciate it but to those who dont know, we need to install something that even I cant remember what it is but it did give me a warning about something before installing it. My problem is, Once I installed the application, My device would reboot automatically. Now, my Lenovo A766 would not boot up, It's stucked at the boot up. Idk whether we call this brick or what but as I know, Brick is when your phone cant even shine a single light. But my device can, just it gets stucked at the boot up. Please help me asap. So also no recovery? If not then you might have to go to the unbricking guide where you need to open your phone to unbrick it. It can even recover from hard bricks like this as I also fixed something similair when I accidently flashed the wrong bootloader. I suggest to read that unbricking guide here in general and try to fix it yourself, else ask a friend who is good at this kinds of stuff
