while i am backing up my system using CWM, i am getting the error :
"error while making a backup image of .android secure"
I could not figure out what is the exact reason for this. I have searched and googled enough..
Please somebody guide me or give me some links for resolving this issue and take a backup..

Delete some stuff from you card and try again or try with a diferent card

I too am having the same issue! I'm trying to find more info on getting Metamorph working on HTC Aria.
Your best bet is to read or post in the thread dedicated to metamorph/ninjamorph in the main Android/Themes section.

This can only be achieved if the Aria is S-off. The Aria does not currently have a way to S-Off it. It's NAND locked meaning you can't just write files to your system partition and stuff while booted up.

Try zip themer its free in the market. I just used it to theme some things on my phone and works perfectly no force closes no memory problems. It even creates an undo as well as a update zip. Make sure usb debugging is on.

I installed cyanigenmod today on my phone..and my bad luck i accidently deleted some file...not sure which one...and i no longer see my lovely cyanogenace live wallpaper.
I am a noob here and i dont want to risk flashing cyanogen again...morever i dont want to take the pain of re-installing all those apps.
Can somebody please please provide me or guide me to how to get that lovely lwp back.

Did you go into system-app-livewallpaperspicker.apk or livewallpapers.apk and delete that, or did you uninstall a live wallpaper? Or maybe turn off scrollable wallpaper? Because I don't remember any CM7 theamed live wallpapers... what ROM are you using? Why don't you just get some flowery live wallpaper from the market?

Nisha: Download Titanium Backup from the market, Back up all your apps and reflash the rom. You can use Titanium to restore your apps to the exact same state they were when backed up.
As to the file you deleted, was it an app? Or was it in a system folder or what? Where did you find that file?

Thanks superace...yes, i was indeed in the system folder. I was trying to establish the differences introduced by cyanogenmod...its my first custom rom.
I tried installing one lwp from market and i can use it. So, imo its the apk that i deleted. Can i get that back from somewhere?

Which file did you delete??If you don't know,just copy the zip of your rom to your PC.Open the zip and go to system/app.Then compare the files in the same folder in your system app with a root explorer.See which file you deleted.Now,if you found which one you deleted,copy that apk file to your SD card.Make it a system app and give it the correct perms.I can't give you the perms because i don't know the app you are using...This is pretty much the only thing you can do because you don't want to reflash

Well, if it was the apk of the wallpaper that you deleted, then you can just download it from the market. Just remember the name or something. Since you deleted the apk itself, then you might have to "uninstall" it from the list of applications then proceed to reinstall.
Like I said, download titanium backup and back up all your apps. That way, no matter what happens to your phone, all your apps will be in the SD no matter what unless you format your SD.

Yep...tried that and it fixed the problem as well..but just noticed...the files in zip are odexed...while the zip provided by sam is deodexed. So wanted that as well...i m greedy...gals are usually.

H... @@@). Now i got to knw that i need odex file... So any senior member here to help me out?? Now its force closing for every 2 secs...and cnt use d basic phone features..? Someone said that copyin the contacts.apk and contacts.odexs files from the system/apps folder of a legit ics running on the g ver....repairs the damaged phone.
i knw i can flash via odin...but after that i cannot use kies.(Waiting for CM9)...So any of you guys ....PLzzz..

1.Update I9100g to ics 4.0.3 - I9100GDDLP5
2.Root the phone using second method (see the link below)

Well I dont give a sh1t what YOU "want".
And yes I do keep creating the same message, that is because people keep posting questions and general topics in dev sections. I will continue to inform the people who do this until they stop or XDA intervenes and ups the post count restriction to something realistic or completely restricts posting rights to dev user groups. And FYI I was helping, if the OP posts in correct place and in correct way they would get better replies.

Wasn't personal, Its just that if you post in right section and with a accurate descriptive title you are more likely to get a quicker and more relevant response(s) instead of ones like mine or from the "prophet" dude.
Also posting your email address on a public forum is a very bad idea. Not just because of general people seeing it but because of bots that crawl places like this for email addresses for spam/malware purposes.
Sorry to have a word here, but TheATHEiST IS right. I registered some days ago and i had to watch a video telling me that i am a noob and should keep my mouth shut until i really know what i can, should and must say. I try to follow that rule. This forum is really straight over the usual users mind - a forum from developers to developers/experienced users. It really makes me kind of sick to see ppl spamming the whole day their questions (especially into new threads) like in a ****ing AOL newsgroup. Here is no place for this. [/sorry off]
To the thread starter: I damaged my phone 2 days after i got it (around 2 weeks ago). But usually you can just flash and try again. Next time make a backup before - there are tons of possibilities. And read a lot here before acting. That really helps.
So flash again (as suggested already) and follow the steps given.

I would like to request a full nand backup of any or all i717M,D,R !
Did something stupid and now I can't boot ...
and didn't do something intelligent so same results !
So I would be very glad for anyone to provide me these precious infos , theses are totally tenporary as I have backups but can't boot android properly.
This backup will contain every information about your phone, inlcuding imei and sim lock and a few other things.
If you agree with that please post the dl link for the file in a private message to me, DO NOT POST IN PUBLIC!

Not sure just how think you drunk I am, but good luck finding somebody to give you this information. I am sure there is someone out there who just smoked some kind of drain cleaner and will send you that file just before they die.
