Update to my problem: Calendar is not able to sync only events which I subscribed..I have subscribed to holidays and I'm able to see it in mobile now. When I have subscribed to sports like Arsenal,Manchester United matches I'm not able to see them in mobile
I have opened calendar from mobile browser and can't see them there also.......I have deleted and re-added account still same
UPDATE: Came to know Google do not allow viewing of sports calendars outside of the Calendar Web view

Use Yahoo Sports
I was having the same problem and used yahoo sports instead. Very quick and easy. Here are the steps.
Only works if the team you are looking for has a schedule on the website.
1. Go to Yahoo Sports
2. Go to the sport you are looking for and click on the team you are looking for.
4. Once you have the team you are looking for click on score/schedule.
5. When your are looking at the schedule click on the link that says iCal.
6. When you do that a link should pop up that you need to copy (you might have to hit an OK button a few times until you get to a link you can copy).
7. Once you have the link copied go to your Google calendar.
8. Click on the other calendars drop down menu and click on add by URL and past the link you have copied.
9. Once you have copied and hit OK enable your new calendar.
10. You should now be able to go on your phone and enable your new calendar.
Hope this helped.

[Q] How to Sync Tasks & Memo with Google?

Hey,
I have two issues and two questions regarding them......
1) I would like to sync the Tasks app. with Google however I do not see Google in the Sync Task profile only my Samsung account.
2) I'd like to sync the Memo app. with Google. It says that I'm not logged in to Google Docs however when I put both my email and password in the login tab does not light up, if I use a different email address it does.
As an added note I also declined a popup from Google about permissions to see what would happen. The window disappeared and nothing did happen!..... At least thats what I thought till now! Not sure how to undo that and suspect that's the problem!
I have also tried to remove my Google account, this only seems possible if you hard reset-which would have to be a last resort for me. I've also been on to my Gmail and Google docs setting via P.C. and am unable to find any setting there that would be affecting these issues.
Any Ideas on how to fix this?
I also have this problem and can not solve it.
I have google docs installed on my phone, but the e-mail address which is registered does not end with gmail.com but a different domain. I can use google docs without a problem but I can not login inside Memo to sync it with my google account.
Any ideas?

Is very good (I use it a lot)... But doesn't solve the sync of Memo... Any recommendations?
i use document to go for google doc... they work fantastic!
Since there's still no way to sync memo with google, i just use Simple Notepad. Color note sounds good too, it supports online back up and sync but haven't try it yet ...
Im using Mobisle Notes. Is very good, not perfect... But... the best u could find.
Any solution on this problem? I also would like to sync my task and memo with my google account. But when I hit the "Sync task" only Samsung Account is available for sync. When I hit the "Add Account", I can only add Exchange ActiveSync account".
I read in this forum and elsewhere, many have successfully sync their task with google task. I wonder is it really possible to sync stock task app with google task? Maybe it is the bug of my ROM. I am using stock ROM Gingerbread 2.3.3.
Use Google docs ore dropbox

Thanks for the information. But since the Tasks is already available for TouchWiz, I would rather use the built in Tasks app. I think the only way is to configure the Gmail Account as an Exchange ActiveSync account. There is a sample configuration for that in the Internet.
Sorry, you mean Task or Notes is on TouchWiz?
Also, can you post the "There is a sample configuration" you mention?
I would like to see it.
Thanks!

[Q] Forcing Calendar to sync past events...

I've seen this question asked on other phone forums, but never answered...and not Atrix specific.
Is it possible to force phone to sync 'ALL' calendar events. Right now I'm only getting future events, plus around past 30 days or so. I really need them all as I'm constantly needing to access info from them, and I need to try and navigate calendar from Atrix browser which is ridiculous as you can imagine.
Hope somebody has this one figured out, as I have tried everything I can think of over the past 24 hours and tap-out.
I would love to know the answer to this as well... iv been trying to get my faceboook or gmail calendars to sync but just can't get them to...!!!
I totally understand hoe frustrated you are...
Sent from my Motorola Atrix
If anyone is still looking for the answer to this I just found it. It's a known Google bug. What you need to do is export you calendar and then import it and sync. I went into my calendar on Google to get the steps and couldn't figure out how to do it even though I did it last night! You need to go into Calendar settings, but not the regular calendar settings. - real intuitive.
Exporting content from a specific calendar
Follow these steps to export one of your calendars:
1.In the calendar list on the left side of the page, move your mouse over the calendar you'd like to export from.
2.You'll see a drop-down arrow appear next to the calendar name. Click the drop-down arrow and select Calendar settings. (Alternatively, click the drop-down arrow next to My calendars and select Settings, then click the appropriate calendar from the list.)
3.Click the ICAL button in the 'Private Address' section at the bottom of the page, and click the displayed URL.
4.Save the exported file to the desired folder on your computer
To import events from iCalendar or CSV files, just follow these steps:
1.Click the down-arrow next to Other calendars
2.Select Import calendar
3.Click Choose file and find the file that contains your events, then click Open.
4.Select the Google Calendar where you'd like to import events, then click Import.
...and then all events synced to your phone? I did this and actually lost entries. On my next phone sync it deleted everything older than 30 days?
I must have missed something simple?
Any ideas?
Sent from my MB860 using XDA App
I've done this a few times since I posted and it worked every time, but I did it after flashing Alien and then again after I went back to Gingerbread and then again after I went back to Alien again. Since I do a wipe data/factory reset maybe that's the difference.
I did see somewhere that someone had to delete their Google calendar after exporting and then sync to empty the calendar on their phone. Then they re-imported the calendar and the sync worked. I tried this first because I was getting force closes everytime I tried to sync, but it didn't work for me. As soon as I tried to sync to empty my phone calendar I got a force close again, so I just did a wipe and flashed Gingerbread again and all my entries came back. I was afraid I would lose everything when I deleted so I created another Google ID and imported my calendar there just in case. But that's probably just me being paranoid.

Once you have set up your Google account(s), click on the account name(s) on the Google accounts screen in "Settings." This will bring up a window that gives you the option to Sync (or not) all aspects of your Google account (app data, browser, calender, contacts, drive, gmail, play books, play movies, play music, play newsstand, google+ and people details). If you want to sync, click the check box. Once you have that info clicked (or unclicked) you can run Sync by clicking on the 3 vertical dots in the bottom right hand corner in the Sync settings screen or one level up at the Google accounts screen. Good luck.

I'm not sure why contacts sync is missing under Google accounts on your phone. Like all users outside of China, I'm not running KK. Contact sync shows up on my Gmail account page (the types of sync are listed alphabetically and contacts, as you'd expect, shows up right under calendar). Maybe someone else has some ideas.
Yours is not a US version? I think the China versions does not come with Gapps. Only the playstore that can be sideloaded. I am from the original ham section and I flashed a China rom and that's what happened. There's no calender or contacts sync adapter installed.

my friend,
i've 2xMate2 4G - MT2-L01 and MT2-L05.
I had the same issue on both phones... to fix it is quiet simple.
if you are on the last version (b408 kitkat 4.4.2), just need to manually install one APK called "GoogleContactSyncAdapter.apk". (attached file)
if you are using any other version, download the lastest gapps package for your version, unzip, find this apk inside unziped folder/system/app, and direct run this APK.
after that, you will have the CONTACTS SYNC option enabled again.
Thanks a lot, I tried with your app and didnt work, but I tried to search on google "Googlecontactsyncadaptet.apk" and worked perfect!
Really gratefull, it was a serius isseu of this phone
My friend owns a Huawei P8 (China) which identifies itself as shown in the attached screenshot.
To enable Google contacts and calendar synchronization I downloaded the CM12. 0 GApps package for Android 5.0 and extracted the 2 sync adapter APKs.
The installation of the calendar sync adapter worked smoothly and now the Google account also offers syncing of the calendar.
However the contacts sync adapter from the very same GApps package refuses installation on the phone. The installation starts and then terminates after some time with the message "application not installed". There is no further information why the installation fails.
Any ideas how to fix this?
Thanks
Stefan

This solved my problem on Cyanogenmod 13. Thank a lot.
This happened maybe because I flashed pico Gapps, which doesn't include this file.
I did following steps:
1) Extract GoogleContactSyncAdapter.apk from stock gapps.
2) Install GoogleContactSyncAdapter.apk on phone.
3) Goto Settings - Apps - Google contacts sync
4) Give it contacts permission.
5) Go to Accounts -> Google account and delete the account.
6) Go to contacts app
7) Add a contact it will ask you where to save, select Google account and login your Google account.
All your contacts will appear now.
yes this is how it works on a HUAWEI P8 MAX MARSHMALLOW for the no option for contact

[Q] Sync Facebook Birthdays with Samsung calendar

Does anyone know a way I can display my FB friends birthdays on my Samsung calendar? I have Haxsync but it will only display events and does not give me the option for birthdays.
Same here
It is the same for me too and its annoying as hell !!! The Facebook Calendar sync option is just not available in S6 (check the first attachment) while it is working just fine in S4 (the second attachment). I also checked Lollipop versions of S4 and S5 - the calendar sync is there and working correctly and their Facebook apps are just the same version as on my S6 Edge. I can't see how Samsung managed to miss that or why they didn't include it.
Can anyway help or at least confirm if all S6 devices does not support it?
Try a third party app known as "Birthday Calender". I hope it will fulfill your requirements.

Thank you Chris but I don't see anything useful. There are several Birthday Calendar applications in Play Store but they are all separate apps and can NOT import in my Google Calendar. Also there is something wrong with all the S Planner - it is not showing other calendars I have in Google Calendar - just the primary one and I can not tell why. It can not even show the birthdays of the contacts I already have in Google Contacts and are synched to the phone!!! As I said annoying as hell...
Any ideas guys ?
ok..here´s the way how it will be working...
https://www.facebook.com/AndroidCalendarSyncApp
Hey folks, good news!
If you are new to using this app, or you just got a new Android device, you are probably pretty disappointed that the app no longer syncs birthdays. If you previously used version 0.8.0 on your device, the birthdays are still on your device and will not be deleted when you upgrade to version 0.8.1.
So, here's the good news. Version 0.8.0 still works, at least until April 30th. So, if you are new to the app and want to sync birthdays to your device before Graph API v1.0 officially expires, follow these steps:
1) Uninstall the version of the Calendar Sync app that you have now.
2) If you have the official Facebook app installed on your device, log out of the Facebook app.
3) Probably optional, but to be safe: Go to this page and remove the Android Calendar Sync app: https://www.facebook.com/settings?tab=applications
4) Go to your Android settings -> Security -> and enable "Unknown sources". This will allow you to install apps that you download from the web rather than from the Play store.
5) Download version 0.8.0 from here: http://www.shadowfury.net/files/download/29
6) Install version 0.8.0 and set it up like a new installation. Make sure you remember to turn on sync! „smile“-Emoticon
7) Force the Calendar Sync app, and you should see your friends' birthdays again on your calendar.
8) Make sure you go to the Play store and upgrade back to 0.8.1.1. The upgrade will not remove any of your pre-populated friends from your calendar.
9) It is very important that you upgrade back to 0.8.1.1 before the end of April 30th. If you are still using version 0.8.0 on May 1st, that version of the app will stop working and you will lose all of your friends' birthdays with no option to recover them.

Thank you Alex-V, its working perfectly! I have one question though. If the Graph API 1.0 will expire on Apr 30th, why it is necessary to upgrade to 0.8.1.1 ? I don't mean to underrate your effort developing the app by any means and I am grateful that you did. I just want to know will it work in the future and if we will be able to sync any few facebook contacts.
great that it's also working for you.. I only repost that facebook site.. so I don't really now.. but I think the older version is for 1 and the newer for 2 and if you not update you will loose it again after 30 April.. BTW I wrote to facebook about it.. maybe do also..

Basically, the way the old app works:
1) Download all your friends from Facebook.
2) Check which are new birthdays, and add them
3) Update any birthdays that have changed (unlikely, but who knows?)
4) Delete any friends that are on your calendar, but not in the downloaded list.
Step 4 is necessary because, if you unfriend someone, you probably don't want their birthday on your calendar anymore...
When Graph v1.0 expires, Facebook will simply start forcing the old version of the app to use Graph v2.0, even if I haven't updated it to do so. Graph v2.0 will return a list of 0 friends when you try to download birthdays, and the app will then proceed to delete ALL your birthdays from the calendar. Since you can still technically download information about friends as long as they are also using the app, Facebook won't return an error, it will return a list of 0 friends.
v0.8.1.1 of the app will continue to sync your events, it just no longer syncs birthdays (and therefore doesn't delete birthdays from the calendar). So, the v0.8.1.1 app can keep your events up to date (if you like). Or, if you aren't using the app to download events at all, you could just disable the sync functionality and the app will never contact Facebook again.
As for the second question, I am working on a couple of updates for the app. A new version of the Facebook contact sync that conforms to Graph v2.0 is coming shortly. The next step after that is to implement an invite system. The invite system is fairly involved, so it'll take some time to get that out, but once v0.8.2 is release you will be able to sync new contacts as long as (1) the new contact is also using v0.8.2 or higher of the app --or-- (2) the new contact is willing to stop by my website to quickly authorize the app to have access to their information.
Stop by and like the App Page on Facebook if you want to get updates when I post new information.

The solution that I got to work for me is Hax sync in the Google Play store. The app has not been updated in awhile but it does work well still.

If it hasn't been updated in awhile, I have to assume it is going to fall to the same fate as my app will at the end of the month as far as birthdays go...
By the way, in case anyone happens to be interested, I posted a relatively short explanation of what is going on from a "privacy policy" perspective. It's really disappointing that Facebook made the changes they did, but there's at least a logical reason behind why they did it... I can't post direct links here yet, since I created a new user id for my development account, but if you use Alex's link above you can find the post on the Facebook app page. Or, a direct link: http www (shadowfury.net) /wiki/Facebookcalendarsync%3AFacebookPrivacyChanges
It is still probably worth writing Facebook to let them know what you think. I've been leaning on them pretty hard, but the more users that let them know what you want from the platform, the more likely they are to either: (1) be willing to work with developers on an exception to policy or (2) develop their own official capability <-- really why doesn't this capability already exist??
Again, sorry I can't post the direct link to Facebook's feedback site, but you can access it here:
http(s) (Facebook website) /help/contact/139819329438825
How it worked for me
Went into options menu (3 dots, right corner, up) > Calendars > Add account > and added the facebook account that was there allready. Then some permissions for facebook to access the device and my calendar synced with FB.
That's how it worked for me on my note edge
Hope it helpes.

is anyone having problems linking their calenders with the m20p???

i got my m20p on thanksgiving eve, been playing with it. It just came to me that my calendar from google is not showing up in the calendar app, where i had no problems with the m9, and m10p. can someone please help me with that??? i did try adding an account to the calendar app, but its saying the account is already being used.
thanks
I gave up with the stock app as it kept complaining about needing internet connectivity & other annoyances while using it, so I've downloaded Google's own Calendar app from the Play Store & removed the built in one. The only issue with this is that when pressing the Date in the notification menu, it doesn't go through to the calendar app (they've hardcoded it to launch com.android.calendar), but that's only a minor complaint really...
