hi, i'm new to all of this customizing stuff and i've just rooted my Xperia X8 and i want to change the blue statusbar to a black one can anyone help me please? thanks.
If it's the same as CM7 (not sure if Sony moved the files around), but the file should be in either SystemUI.apk (located in /system/app) or Framework-res.apk (located in /system/framework) called something along the lines of "statusbar_background".

I just got the new unrooted ICS for my phone, and wondered where to find, and can i just change fx. the phone.apk with an original from unbranded/standard ICS. Or anybody know of a thread with these .apk's.

you dont install it. You have to make it your self. It is usually located in framework.
you would need to manually decompile framework-res.apk and search in /res/values open bools.xml <bool name="config_animateScreenLights">true</bool> change to false.
At least this is how it worked on HC and gingerbread. It will depend on if you have the correct libraries to even enable this animation but most devices will have this. ome libraries have it coded faster or slower and different styles, etc. Unless it is fast and smooth, I have found it to be not worth it. Also CRT ON would lirkly be a very difficult amount of coding.
properly compile .apk and push. If you're not sure how to do these. research first. it can be dangerous = not being able to boot!

Do you think that replacing the "Lgsmartgothic-bold.ttf" file with another file. Ttf and rename it "Lgsmartgothic-bold.ttf" will change the font?
