What to do with 215mb of free space in SYSTEM? - Android Q&A, Help & Troubleshooting

What to do with 215mb of Extra Free Space in SYSTEM on custom ROMs?
1) so my data partition constantly keeps on running out of space but i am constantly changing roms so i can't move my data to the system partition ... maybe a customMTD for xperia arc s ICS roms is a solution but i know nothing about how to make that happen
2) another big problem is multitasking, maybe it can be used for Swap or for cache etc.
3) what else can i use it for?

Click to collapse
If your Rooted, use Titanium Backup. It's free on the Market. Lets you move whatever you want to the SD Card.

[Q] How to leave the SDCARD (not talking about the external_s) factory clean??

Hi all
After installing a few hundreds of apps I find my phone (SGS2) is full of crap. Is there any way to leave the internal sdcard (not talking about the external_sd) as it came from factory? I tried with a factory data reset and I still see all the folders the apps created :-( Maybe rooting and installing some ROMs is not helping...
Please, help!
Thanks in advance to the great community

Ups... sorry, Won't happen again
I am talking about what Android calls "USB storage", in case it wasn't clear. Where the apps are stored by default, when you don't have any external SD card.
Thanks

[Q] Is it possible to use hard links?

Hi,
I have installed Locus and OruxMaps. Both apps use the same vector map format - mapsforge. I would like to share one map file for both programs. Is it possible?
I know Linux allows to use hard links, but I doubt it is possible with FAT32 (the SD card filesystem).
Do you have any idea how could I share the maps between the 2 programs?
Unfortunately, ext4 and ntfs aren't fully functional as an sdcard filesystem. Look here.

Help me!NT 8GB can not access Internal Storage

After I wipe all System, NT 8GB can not access to System anymore. No boot, no CWM, no OS...
But i can make CM7 boot from SD card, and use ok.
Now, i want to flash ROM to Internal Memory, help me!
Sorry to say, but you definitely will not be getting help for your issue in the development section. Please post in the proper section and remember that development is not Q&A. Perhaps a mod will move this thread to where it needs to be. Posting questions in development that have nothing to do with dev will only result in flaming by the community and possible infractions by a mod.
Happy flashing.
Please post in the correct section - moving to Q+A.
Describe exactly how you "wiped" your system we take it from there.
